I had a group of 20 friends that we had going on a day trip to Healdsburg — Twomey is one of the few places that can accomodate that size group. Like other’s have mentioned, it is owned by Silver Oak but they do a great job at being their own brand. We had Brian helping us out with our winery tour and tasting — he truly made our experience the best it could have been. He started us off with a Sauv Blanc in the main tasting area and then took us around for the winery tour. He brought the other bottles to taste with him so we would stop and taste another wine at different stops along the tour. He was knowledgable yet patient, we had many people who were from another county so they had never been wine tasting before. We also had a couple people who knew a little more about wine and had more specific questions, all of which Brian was able to answer. They are Pinot Noir heavy winery so make sure to call ahead to see what their current release wines are if you arn’t keen on this varietal. Overall, it was very easy to communicate with them and organize the group. They accommodated us right away and Brian was absolutely wonderful in taking care of us(exclusively) during our time. His personality was what made everyone enjoy learning about Twomey’s wine making process!

have been a member at twomey for about 2 years now, and this is the first time visiting the healdsburg location! it’s much bigger than the calistoga tasting room and the outdoor terrace is really nice. came here this past memorial day weekend and really enjoyed the outdoor tasting experience. so tranquil, and the wines are very tasty! the monument tree pinot noir is exceptional!

The view at Twomey is peerless, and the wines are terrific. They have just started a pizza and Pinot pairing on the third weekend of each month. We happened to be driving by today, and stopped in to check it out. The pizzas were being cooked in a wood fired oven on the property, and made to order. This week’s pizza was mushroom, prosciutto, and arugula. Having lived in NYC for years, I’m picky about pizza but this this one was exemplary. It was the mushrooms that made it. We asked the chef about what the mushrooms were, and he reeled off a medley of mushrooms that I don’t expect to ever be able to recreate at home. The Pinot was the perfect pairing. We will definitely be back.

I’m a member here and despite stopping by regularly about every 2 months as well as drinking it at home, I really don’t get sick of their wine. The range of Pinot sourced from various locations around Sonoma offer something for everyone. They make a fine merlot, but the range of pinots stand out. They have a new winemaker, so it will be interesting to see how she tweaks their approach. Pro tip: The Sauv Blanc is a bottle that they regularly put on special for ~$ 20 when you buy multiple bottles, and at that price point it should not be missed. Lovely setting and great member events coordinated by Cyle. I strongly recommend giving this place a visit while traveling through Healdsburg.

Looked forward to tasting sister wines of the Famous Silver Oak family. Checked the website and they said they were dog friendly! Yeah. We strolled in with our lab on leash and they directly escorted us outside because of the dog. They said they had a large party in the tasting room so no dogs allowed today. That should be clear on the website as it was raining and we would have skipped. Though our shared tasting should have been waived but it wasn’t. The wine was ok but overpriced and I like expensive wine! Disappointed

Breathtaking views. Twomey definitely rings of a Silver Oak-owned company, but still manages to not come off feeling snobby. The staff was super friendly from the moment we walked in and although they were having a busy morning took time to answer all of our questions. Although I expected to like their Pinots the best, our favorite tasting from Twomey had to be the Merlot — it was fruit-forward without having to hit you in the jaw. The Sauv Blanc was surprisingly good as well, with a strong backbone and no sour notes. We were(and still are) very tempted to join their wine club(they have several different options), but we’ll have to wait until our wine reserves go down a little. We will definitely return to Twomey on our next visit!

What a great winery! This was on our list of places to visit because we love Silver Oak. And Twomey didn’t let us down. First off, the place is gorgeous with beautiful views. The tasting room is very modern and sleek. The staff offered to bring our tastings outside so we could enjoy the breathtaking views. The wines were delicious and we certainly took home a few bottles!

My absolute favorite! From the family that brings you Silver Oak wines, this is the sister winery that makes everything else — Pinot, Sauv Blanc and Merlot. The Merlot is incredible — it’s the only Merlot I’ll drink. Staff is always friendly — greeting you with a smile and a glass. We come here so often that they remember us by name. I’ve seen them greet other patrons by name as well. I recommend this location to everyone I know!

Lovely modern winery and tasting room facility in the Russian River Valley. They make delicious Pinot Noir, which is my wine of choice. Beautiful views of the valley off the patio. Very dog friendly too which is a big must for us as we do travel most of the time with our two Lab doggies. I have been to two wine club events here. Their annual pizza party which is a must try for all you pizza lovers and the wine club appreciation party BBQ. Wines are a little pricey but I think they are worth it!

I’m a member of the Twomey wine club and if I didn’t know better, this has become my new home away from home over the weekends! Gorgeous modern tasting room with sweeping views. Twomey still feels a bit undiscovered — which is exactly how I like it. Their sauvignon blanc is worthwhile for me to make the drive up here every other weekend. This is the PERFECT white to go with oysters. First trip: bought a few bottles of the sauv blanc and drove to Tomales Bay Oyster company(about a 60 minute drive) to shuck and eat. Trip two: picked up a case of sauv blanc for my 4th of July BBQ where there were 150 oysters present and accounted for. Trip three: member appreciation BBQ with a build your own burger bar. Yeah, the sauv blanc goes well with burgers too. The other wines are just as delicious and I will report out on those as the weather changes!

As a fan of the Cabernets of Silver Oak, we made a trip to the Sonoma Valley and made our first visit to Twomey Cellars, founded by Silver Oak’s David and Tim Duncan. Their wine maker, David Baron carries his vision from silver Oak to Twomey. The tasting room is modern and sleek with a beautiful view of Twomey’s vineyards in the valley below. The featured tasting consists of a sauvignon blanc, two pinot noirs and a merlot. A bonus pinot noir was added to the tasting. Our server was friendly and she gave us a nice history of the Twomey. You can enjoy your tasting at the counter or enjoy it at one of the tables or benches in their beautiful patio, which we did for our final pour. What a great wine tasting experience for the $ 10 tasting fee and for your Visa Signature cardholders, they’re part of the Visa Signature program. Twomey, a great stop in Sonoma Valley for wine tasting.

Delicious wines. Sleek & modern tasting room. Patio with several large tables can accommodate medium size groups. Panoramic view towards the east is world class. Dog friendly. I live in the heart of the Sonoma valley with 24 wine tasting rooms within 5 miles of my house. I’ve become finicky & opinionated about wine. I liked all the wines here so much that I joined the membership club. Expensive: $ 50 — $ 60 /bottle range. A worthy wine for a special event or a luxury dinner. If I was a millionaire I’d happily drink Twomey pinot noir everyday.

I just picked up my order from my friends in Cali because no shipping to MA bc of our ridiculous legislature. However, I recieved a thank you card to my MA address from Anne wishing my wine a safe arrival, more importantly she wrote in a personal touch about our conservation while tasting, now that’s customer service! I also remember after our wine tasting ended and the winery got flocked they still managed to attend to my girlfriends’ endless questions(it was her first time wine tasting). On top if it, their wine is delicious, my order would justify my feelings. I just don’t see this type of service anymore and I must give 5 golden stars when it is due. Cheers!

Gorgeous wine room, but unfortunately I wasn’t really into any of the grapes I tasted at Twomey. The breathtaking views are certainly worth a stop, and our wine guide was kind enough to snap a photo of us outside. A-OK.

ANN is fantastic! Beautiful view here at Twomey. It was our very first stop in wine country and an awesome way to kick it off. Ann definitely took care of us and shared so much about the wine and the history of Twomey. We asked about other wineries she’d recommend and she was gracious enough to supply us with passes to some other wineries that we may not have visited. Tasting fee is $ 10 but they are Visa Signature participants.

We liked this place a lot. The tasting room was clean and modern with a great view. Felt like current day Europe. The wines were delicious too. And they sent us home with nice Twomey glasses. Great pourer too!

THEWINES: As the offspring of Silver Oak, which I *heart* mightily, I liked 80% of the options. They are heavily Pinot Noir-based, and it’s a varietal that I don’t often purchase. My faves were the: *2010 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir *2011 Estate Sauvignon Blanc(crisp and refreshing without being wimpy) *2010 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir THEGROUNDS: A large back deck overlooking the hills of Healdsburg, not overly crowded, rowdy, or obnoxious. The landscaping was very pretty — full of summer blooms and well-manicured. A vegetable garden flanks the building, where I think my precious dog attempted to eat a salad without asking. The tasting room is tall, airy, cool, and not full of «stuff» to buy because the wines are sub-par. You can get served on the back deck instead of standing at the bar, should you choose. THEPEOPLE: The Wine Club Manager, Colyn(I think I got that right) was personable, friendly, with bright blue eyes and quick with a smile. It was a lovely day spent at Twomey.
