Villa Chanticleer

My wife (!) and I cannot say enough good things about Villa Chanticleer, where we hosted our wedding — yesterday! The venue is gorgeous, the location is very convenient for our guests, and most of all, the staff are an absolute joy to work with, every one of them. From start to finish, they were friendly, professional, accommodating, flexible, responsive, and eager to help. We could not have had an easier time putting everything together and it made for an amazing, memorable day — everything we could have wished for.

My friend recently got married here and the grounds are beautiful! It is such a romantic setting… a perfect place for an intimate wedding. I love the towering trees surrounding the gazebo and the roaming deer on the hill. Don’t worry, there is a fence separating the ceremony site from the deer so you don’t have to worry about any unexpected four-​legged guests. I cant say the same about the bugs… saw plenty, but didn’t get any bites :) For all the fabulous ladies who are planning to visit this location, the best advice I have for you is to wear flats or platform shoes. Avoid stilettos because the uneven terrain is a challenge to traverse. I stumbled at least 4 times on the uneven pavement when I arrived. Also, try to get there early to park at the top level near the ceremony sight. If that fills up, you can park in the lower level near the playground — but the stairs that lead up to the upper level are tough!!! There is no railing and it’s also very uneven. If you use a walker or cane, I recommend taking the ramp or asking someone to assist you up the stairs. Once your inside, all you have to worry about is not spilling your drink while you dance the night away!

Been here many of times for different occasions. Love the garden if only it was not locked so you could tour/​browse and enjoy the scenery.

Beautiful and excellent spot for festive occasions. I’ve attended weddings and even a prom here.
The grassy and wooded area outside is wonderfully verdant and perfect for picture-​taking. Tons of space inside for families as big as mine. The bar space in the middle has always been dear to me and that wood flooring inside can tell loads of disco tales.

Gorgeous room, well run events. I’ve attended two weddings here in the last 10 years, yesterday’s wedding was all the good things a wedding should be and this space helps make it all work.
Outside, multiple rooms, oak trees, shade! A staff member who looks just like Mr Clean (bald head, big gold earrings in both ears) keeps everyone moving so the event stays on track.

Beautiful wood paneling.
Cheap cocktails. The perfect place for volunteer football players/​4-​H Club members to serve you overflowing plates of crab meat.
Don’t elbow the senior citizens. There is enough to go around.
