I I wish I could give zero stars. I went to this establishment this evening because all the other local dairy places are closed for the season. I got a chicken strip wrap and of course some ice cream. I got about midway through my chicken strip wrap and noticed it tasted a little funny so I picked it apart only to realize it was basically raw. I immediately took a picture of it, placed it in a baggy to keep as proof and contacted a line I could file a formal complaint with. I feel this needs to be known on a public forum though. I might not have noticed this at all but am thankful I did so as to hopefully lower the possibility of getting sick. I told my husband when we pulled up 7 minutes before closing that I hoped no one spit in our ice cream as a joke(we’ve both worked those kind of jobs so we know how last minute orders go) but raw chicken is definitely not acceptable at all.

Oh DQ! Where we used to live, the nearest DQ was in the state’s largest mall about 30 minutes from our house. When the peanut buster parfait craving hit, we’d have to brave a ton a traffic and throngs of gothic teen mall goers. Now, there’s a DQ right down the street here in Newark! We ordered a double cheeseburger which came with some weird bbq/thousand island sauce. The burger was good, even with the surprise sauce. The fries were crispy, but they only gave us about 10 fries with the combo! What’s that about? The regular waffle cone was pretty good. The cone was crispy and slightly sweet. Now we would have given this DQ an outstanding 4 stars, mostly driven by our nostalgia and the pretty acceptable food. But, when we were waiting for our order, we witnessed a worker in the back sneeze twice while preparing food for the drive through window. Luckily that wasn’t our order and fortunately the drive thru customer was none the wiser.
