Frisch’s Big Boy

This place is OK, but, a bit underwhelming.
We stopped as a party of three for breakfast on March 2, 2016. All in our party ordered breakfast entrees: omelettes, pancakes, and the like. The omelettes were served with residue of grease from the frying pan. When trying to place a forkful of food in our mouths, grease dripped off onto our clothing. We asked the waitress to give us a small dish so we could drain our platters. This was annoying.
The quality of the food, coffee, and other drinks were OK, but not very good.
We won’t be back.

I’ve been eating big boys my entire life and crave these all the time. If you haven’t had one yet, it’s basically a big boy with a tartar sauce variant — only way better.
Love the service and impressive light/​space of this location. This is not a high end restaurant, but more like your standard divey breakfast slash brunch place. The fries are fresh and softer than you might like (request for crispy ones). The servers will accommodate your requests, be sure to ask!
You can add strawberry, vanilla and cherry to your drinks. Unfortunately they got rid of Coke and switched to Pepsi which is a bone of contention for my mom (and me to be honest).

I’ve eaten at this Frisch’s many times. This morning was very surprising on several levels,
I ordered French Toast, sausage links (well done).
I got my order but my sausage was Not even close to being well done. What it looked like was the cook just squished the sausage with something heavy to crisp the outside, but leaving the inside almost raw. NOW, this is the part where I felt like I had to write a review: I paid the bill and informed the cashier that the cook needs retraining on how to cook sausage well done. She suggested talking to the manager (leading me to believe that comments left with her are falling on deaf ears). So, I waited for the manager and then explained about my sausage. At this point my bill was already paid. I was not looking for a discount or monetary refund of any type — just informing management of an issue with his store. He immediately started making excuses. I knew right away, once again my issue was falling on deaf ears. And thus the review.
I will never order sausage of any type from this store IF I ever return. This stores issue is obvious: Management.

great burgers and decent prices make this a great choice when the grandkids visit. sometimes slow service.

I have eaten a lot of portabella mushroom sandwiches but they have a wonderful one here. They don’t marinade it (I hate that), and you can get it on pumpernickle bread. It is as good as any high end restaurant in which I have ordered. I got it with Swiss cheese, too wonderful. Plus, they have sweet potatoe fries.

I grew up on Frisch’s in Cincy, so I haven’t frequented one of these in years. However, my partner loves the Big Boy (both the statue out front and the burger!) At any rate, this is a quality location — good service, fresh salad bar, and the Big Boys themselves are fresh and don’t taste like they’ve been sitting under a heat lamp or something.
