I’ve never had a kolache before but these were excellent. I wouldn’t drive out of my way for them. I tried a dessert one. The strawberry cream cheese. The strawberry filling was fantastic but the cream cheese didn’t have a lot of flavor. The bread/roll part was perfect. $ 1.75 I also tried a breakfast kolache. It was a cream cheese jalapeño bacon and egg. No clue how they made this. But the egg and bacon were cooked perfectly inside the roll. Very unique and filling. $ 3, great price for what it is. Tons of bacon crumbled up in there. Very light on the cream cheese/jalapeño.

This place has great treats! I have only been to the drive up, my orders come up quick with friendly service. A nice local and affordable option in Heber City.

We had the Pizza, Turkey & Pepper Jack, Apricot, and Cherry & Cream Cheese. DELICIOUS. We’ve had kolaches before and these are the best we’ve had. I could just eat the bread alone. We’ll be back!

The cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate were available at the Ice Castles, and we were so impressed that we went to the café for breakfast the next day. Both were amazing, possibly the best I’d ever had. At the café, we decided we had to try the kolaches. We put in our order for several sweet flavors(to take) and a savory to have there. They were very tasty, especially the savory one. Our only problem was a lack of communication with the staff. After ordering, they had to come to our table three times to change our order, because they were out of things. We understand that bakeries run out of popular items, but they weren’t keeping track at all. The tray of remaining kolaches was actually just brought out to us so we could point to existing pastries. Three times. They also charged us double on accident and totally forgot our coffee. A woman was picking up an order for a birthday party had seemed like it had been paid for in advance and literally forgotten by staff. Concerning. Staff was very friendly and apologetic, just scattered. TL; DR Great food, would return regardless of dreadful coordination.

I loved the food! Like other reviews, one of my kolaches was cold in the center. I would ask them to make them hotter next time. I can’t wait to go back! Orange cinnamon rolls were amazing. Mixed drinks were delish. Food was so tasty.

I like Kolaches and I think they have a good thing going — they just need some consistency! We’ve gotten home and had a few that were warm and yummy and a few that were ice cold in the middle and nobody wants to eat an ice cold meatball! Their sodas are always good and the service is friendly. I hope they had some more savory menu items and find a consistent method of warming the Kolaches before sending them out the window!

My husband and i came here and got a chocolate cheese kolache and a cinnamon roll for under 5 dollars and they were both warm and very very good. We were here from pleasant grove and asked if we could have a glass of water for our dog too and the lady working was awesome about giving it to us ! She even wrote ‘water for pup’ on his cup. Little things like that stick with people, i again highly recommend dotties !!

I like Dotties Kolaches, I really do. But man, they need to fix some things. The good: their kolache bread is really really good. It’s always soft, fresh, slightly sweet, and absolutely delicious. Their cinnamon rolls are the best. The bad: their kolache fillings are absolutely hit or miss. They have some really good fillings and some really awful ones. For example, their breakfast kolaches have consistently rubbery eggs. Their flavors can be a little bit off. But my least favorite thing is that they constantly get our order wrong. Out of the last six times we’ve been there, half of the time they give us the wrong kolaches. They need to do a better job of organizing back there. If I could give them an even split of 2.5 stars I would. But at the same time, I don’t want them to go out of business. I just want them to get better.

Love the people and the food. The cinnamon rolls are huge and tasty. Ruby snap cookies are delicious. I’m always up for a good mixed drink. Kolaches are yummy too. We like the bacon egg and cheese, true Texan, and the pepperoni pizza kolaches the best!

Ummm and Yummmm! We were drawn in by a coupon for a free Kolache in the visitor’s brochure for Heber City. Funny the lady at the counter had never seen it before. Leave it to us diehard«couponers» otherwise we may have been none the wiser to the whole Kolache experience. Anywho– they were sooooo delicious! Kind of a savory Krispy Kreme donut! I mean, we could’ve eaten a tray of vegeterian Kolaches. Here’s to the next time!

The kolaches were awesome, the cinnamon rolls enough to inspire Jenny Craig to gluttony, and the restaurant itself has a small but pleasant eat in area — soon to be redecorated in a rockabilly style per Jake, a knowledgable and quite personable member of the staff. All in all, we found Dottie’s to be great food at a good price. Sugar rush and great value — what’s not to like?

Best Kolaches I’ve had since living in Texas! Try the Texas Link for basic goodness but the True Texan kicked it up. The meatball and Hawaiian were yummy too!

Being part Slovak, I’m always on the lookout for Kolachi. Dottie’s, although not like my grandma’s sweet, dense rolled pastries, did not disappoint. We ordered two lunch Kolachi’s-a pepperoni pizza and a veggie. The dough was fluffy and light, encasing delicious treasures of pepperoni and cheese,(duh) and my veggie roll held a little burst of sunshine(spinach, sun dried tomatoes and a grape tomato or two) and mozzarella. They were the perfect vacation road trip bites and we got a kick out of parking next to the feed store. Unable to stop ourselves, we ordered a sweet apricot kolachi, which was like a smaller, fluffier Danish with an apricot jam filling – no complaints there either. No, none at all! Dottie’s makes a variety of sweet and savory kolachi’s, cinnamon rolls and other pastries. If I lived in Heber, I’d be a regular in their drive through window, as they pour a decent latte too. They could cute up the two white tables squeezed in front of the stark white order counter to encourage more of us to linger over memories of sauerkraut, halupki and souvlaki. All in all, Dotties did good!

Good food and drinks. Even sold me pebble ice so I could go make Italian sodas for my visitors. $ 2.50 for a big bag. Can’t pass up a diet coke with coconut cream and a breakfast kolache(not sure how to spell it) but they are really good! Dessert ones aren’t my favorite. A lot of dough and not good filling.

The best upscale breakfast comfort food and it was an absolute delicious delight to find this place!!! Loved the jalapeño, sausage and cheese. They also sell all the standard fruit such as cherry, apple, peach and other fruits, plus combinations of sausage, ham, cheese and eggs. The savory bacon one’s had the bacon perfectly crumbled for ease of eating. They were already sold out of the peach the morning we visited. Friendly and fast service. We noticed that the drive-thru was the busiest as the restaurant is very small with seating for maybe 10 customers. After one bite I was addicted! A great mom-and-pop place.

Went for the first time today and it was amazing! I had a pepperoni kolache and a cinnamon roll and both were fresh and delicious. The service was the best I’ve come across in Heber. The nice lady offered suggestions and made sure I was happy with what I ordered. I’ll be back for sure.

This is a wonderful, no-frills place. The kolaches are delicious. I prefer the savory flavors(turkey sausage with cheese, for example). They have pebbled ice, too! The employees are very friendly and appear happy to be there which always makes me smile. Please support this new, local business!
