Absolutely delicious. By far the best meal out of the 3 that I ate in Helen over 4-day period. Yes, it was pricey, but the quality was well worth the extra dollars spent. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly and the«drinks expert» crafted a really good lemondrop martini. I started with the salad dressed with champagne vinegrette and served with prociutto/fontina pinwheels. Outstanding and large enough to share…(which I grudgingly did after tasting it). I had the filet special and it was one of the best steaks I’ve had anywhere, anytime… quite a surprise considering the other meals that had been placed before me this trip. To start, The Hubs had the sausage meatballs which he loved. Not being much of a meatball person, I thought it was as good as a meatball was going to be. Then, for his main course, he had the veal marsala. Yummmmm… that’s all… just yummmm… further words fail… it wasjust THAT good. To finish our meal, we both had the tirimisu. Never was a fan… thought it was way over-rated…until now. Scrumptious. In my opinion, it is the only restaurant in Helen worth bothering with. Loved it!

We visited this restaurant 2 years ago when it was at the old location in the center of Helen. It was so delicious so when we knew we were going to be back in Helen, we knew where we wanted to go for dinner. It was a relief to find out they had moved to a bigger location. The food is still just as great as we remembered. We each had the specials and were not disappointed. Being Italian ourselves, we are very picky when it comes to Italian food. The food is fresh and tastes homemade. The only complaint is we would have liked to have a basket of bread on the table instead of being given a single piece at a time. We had to ask for more bread. One of the best things about Italian food is using the bread to sop up the salad dressing and sauces.(smile) The waiter suggested we try the tiramisu. We were skeptical at first, having tried the tiramisu at Ferrara’s in Little Italy and our cousin’s authentic recipe from Italy, but we agreed. It was pretty darn good. When we return to the area, you will bet we will eat here again.

Are they trying to save electricity? If yes, then they have gone too far. When I walked in at first the whole restaurant was pitch black. The only lights were tiny candles on each table. I could hardly read the menu. the atmosphere was odd and spooky to me so I simply walked out. The price range is not budget friendly either.

Authentic Italian food in Helen, GA! Yes, the chef is from Italy and even makes his own Limoncello! He sent us over a shot on the house after a very fine meal. Call ahead for reservations, it is very tiny and intimate inside. Patio dining, open for lunch and dinner, Tuesday thru Saturday. We had the grouper special and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection.
