Brewhouse Brew Pub & Grill

The place was nice and big. The service was fast and friendly. I got the meal of the day — NY strip steak over Texas toast with breaded fried onions on top and a side of soup of the day (red pepper bisque). I like French fried onions but it was a bit too much and gave me heartburn afterwards.

My brother and I had lunch here yesterday. It was packed, and when we ordered the server made sure to give us a heads up «it is pretty busy so the food could take a tad longer than normal.» We said it is all good bc we weren’t in a hurry, but the food still came out in a very reasonable amount of time. We shared the sauteed mushroom app and it was delish. Reuben was awesome and my brother enjoyed his burger. I like this place because the food is consistent but the service is always fantastic. They do a $ 10 yoga thing on Saturday mornings that includes a glass of wine or beer… I tried to talk the brother into going next week…

Visited Helena a couple of weeks ago. Took the whole family (party of 8) on a Sunday night. Food was really good and the service was too!

Meh, nothing special. Good for families, I’m sure there are better places to eat in Helena.

Fish was really good and fries hot. Outside of that there is nothing that warrants the high prices. Nothing special about the atmosphere and the service was ok. If you are new like we were, then spend the money. Other wise try some where else. Not impressed.

We have recently rediscovered the Brewhouse. They have great food, prepared well, with great service down. Always consistent. We eat here often and have tried many of their menu items without disappointment. You must try their onion rings. The best I have had anywhere!

Best calamari anywhere! Had it last year when we were in town and had to have it again when we came back this year. Cut in long strips, not rings, with this incredible chipotle sauce. The other food we had was good too but it is that calamari we’ll be back for.

The Brewhouse is a favorite lunch spot for my Dad and I. The service is one of the biggest selling points — couldn’t get better staff!!!
I usually get a salad or The Survivor for lunch. They have good, home-​brewed iced tea. The dishes are consistent and good, you know what you are getting and that it will be good.
My only knock on the Brewhouse is that sometimes the beers taste stale, which is really weird for a place that is named «Brewhouse.» My brother-​in-​law is a beer snob and says they need to clean their lines. If I get a beer here I only get dark beer because that covers up the stale flavor. If they cleaned their lines more, I’d give it 5 stars because, as I said, this place is a favorite for us.

When we landed in Great Falls we were hungry, but wanted to wait until we got to Helena to eat. The mention of a prime rib sandwich jumped out at me so despite the if-​y rating we decided to give it a shot.
My mouth is watering just thinking about the food… My mom and I both got the prime rib sandwich and it is the best prime rib /​steak sandwiches I have ever had (steak sandwich is second to my love of fried chicken). Seriously… I want to fly there right now to get another one! My husband had the cod, and although I am not a fan of deep fried fish it was delicious and not greasy as seems to be the norm. My dad had the Reuben, which is my least favorite sandwich, and THAT was even delicious.
The server was very spunky when my dad asked if they had a bathroom, «Nope, we just go out back… haha…just kidding!» My dad almost fell off his chair. That will teach him to ask a proper question! She was super nice and was able to recommend beer and answer all our questions about the food.
All in all we were prepared for anything and considering how hungry we were it probably wouldn’t have mattered, but this place went above and beyond it’s 3−½ star rating. Check it out, you really won’t regret it!

Favorite spot in Helena. This review is mostly about the upstairs part. Casual, fun time. Better quality and more variety than your typical «pub grub». Wait staff and owners are friendly and accommodating. Service is very good, but there are times when the house is just packed and things just take longer. Downstairs has a quieter, more refined ambiance. Wine bar, not brew pub. Smaller menu. Great for larger parties and special events. Same owners and shared staff, so customer service approach is still great.

In my opinion, the best onion rings in Helena. And the beer selection isn’t bad either. The downstairs menu is really good and a bit different from traditional brewhouse fare.

Great service. Very disappointed in the encrusted ahi tuna for $ 24. Tuna was a low grade and had a very light pink color. I’ve always had great food here, but this ahi tuna was not good.

Good place. Pretty much a sports bar. Very popular. Good beer. Big TVs but its hard to get away from them any more.
The listing about Wifi here in Unilocal is incorrect. They do, in fact have free wifi.

This is a fun place to go out for adult time and not break the bank!

The steak sandwich is the best thing on the menu. The staff is great, and the place is clean.

Excellent food. Two different places. Bottom bar area is open at 3. Restraint open at 11. Great beer selection. Great food! Muscles and burgers were excellent!

Came in for a late lunch/​early dinner while on business in Helena (it’s walking distance from the «BEST» hotel in Helena, the Great Northern BW!)
They’ve got Lewis & Clark Hefe on tap… Yum!
I order the small (10 oz) prime rib done up Cajun style and medium rare. Comes with soup… Which is this thick, creamy, out of this world Chicken Jalapeño! If I could put this directly into my bloodstream I would… It’s that good.
Steak comes out and as the waitress tells me, their loss is my gain, for the kitchen has given me the 16 ouncer, which is this humongous hunk of beef. I ask for horseradish, and the waitress brings me something atomic (I kid you not… My nose hairs burned-​off!) I even eat 3 French fries, that must be homemade (they’re great!)
Not certain what some of these reviews are talking about that don’t give high marks (not certain what you’re thinking if you order calamari here though?) Next time I’m in Helena, I’ll be back!

First, let me say that the beer selection is one of the best in Helena. You can find a variety of brews from around the state.
The Brewhouse loses two stars for its food. While the prices are reasonable, and they have a solid variety of dishes, there is little-​to-​no consistency in quality. The bf and I tend to be creatures of habit, but we’ve found that even if you order the same menu item, there’s absolutely no guarantee that taste, quantity, or temperature will remain constant.
It’s a bit of a bummer, but still worth a stop if you want a good brew, and you’re willing to advocate for your own food quality.

I’ve been here several times and the quality of food is always consistent. I really like their afterburner burger and their way out west chicken barbecue bacon pizza. They have a lot of beer on tap with a bunch of them being local beers. Great choices I think. they get four stars instead of five because the service just wasn’t quite exceptional. Nothing specific to complain about but it could’ve been a little bit better. They do have lots of TVs around so if you want to come in for a burger and a beer and watch the game it’s a great place for that and I highly recommend it!
