Overall a good burger but fries were super greasy and not so crispy. Soda was flat and water came from faucet with no ice. Disappointed that we weren’t told when ordering lettuce and tomato that it was an extra $ 2 more per person. $ 35 for two burgers with fries and soda was not worth it considering other places are hands down way better all around and for less $$$.

Been closed for three months now to repair the damage. Any idea when it will finally reopen?

Asian salmon here was good. They didn’t disappoint me, love that asian smell on the salmon. It feels like I’m on a Asian country. Also tried their baked rigatoni once, taste like somewhat different on the other food that I liked. Raspberry martini was also good, I would love to come back anytime.

I am not from the area but was at a lacrosse tournament at Lehigh Univ. We wanted to catch a quick bite before heading home. We arrived there around 3:45pm and they were closed since I was not familiar with their hours. The owner came to the door told us that he was not open yet but be would serve us anyway. We thought sure why not since we were all a little hungry. Owner was very friendly and he was not a bad server since his staff was not in yet. Food was great! We all had the bubbly burgers and yum!

I would say 3.5. I live in Hellertown and my boyfriend and I chose to go here because we could walk from my house. I was here a few years back for murder mystery and the food was awesome. So I was eager to try it again. Negatives: we got tap water in a glass no ice, but the table behind us the waitress seemed to know as regulars had straws, ice and tap not from the sink. The one table was being kept steady by menus underneath the feet, just get a new table. I got Brian’s Bubble Burger while it was delicious it was very greasy the bottom bun basically disappeared into the burger and i had quite a drip pile of grease on my plate. My boyfriend did the 3 courses for $ 16.00 the dessert was a brownie sundae, as we shared the sundar we kept looking for the brownie part of it and when the waitress was asked she said oh its supposed to be a brownie flavored ice cream and walked away. It would have served our purpose more to go to giant and buy Edy’s Double Fudge Brownie Ice Cream Postives: it’s nice inside, dark with cool paintings and open on to main street, while the burger was greasy it was well done but not burnt and the melted cheese on the bun was awesome. My boyfriend really liked the cocnut chicken as his entrée. There was a nice cocktail listed but i wasn’t willing to pay 10 dollars a drink. All in all we agreed we would come back but not as a regular spot.

Sagra is by far my favorite place to eat in the Lehigh valley! Truly, a hidden gem. My wife and I are frequent visitors and I can honestly say that I have not had a bad experience. The food and drinks are well priced, perfectly prepared, and easily adaptable for specific taste(or in my case dietary restrictions). If you are looking for great service, fantastic food, and good company this is the place for you!

Way too overpriced for sub par food that takes forever to get. Atmosphere is dark and too loud. Filet came out cold and one stalk of broccoli I got was raw. $ 5 for a can of iron city beer? No way!

Sagra is my favorite restaurant in the Lehigh valley, love that the menu is rotated seasonally, it makes going there often always a new experience. Their bubble bread is a must, the spinach raviolis are to die for as well as the panzanella salad with steak. I can’t understand how anyone can ever say anything negative about this fine bistro, we are regulars so if you don’t like the food that just means more for us.

Hidden gem in Hellertown! I’ve lived in Hellertown for 20 years and have noticed this little restaurant for some time but only stopped in once for a drink. I love eating out and would go to the«hot» spots with rave reviews from friends and colleagues. I’ve been missing out! Sagra is now my go-to restaurant and I’m there at least once a week. It’s locally owned which is something I like to support. the staff are low key and very friendly! I’ve noticed a few reviews stating they had to wait to be noticed or it took a while for the staff to warm up. This is the setting you will find in a small family run restaurant. It’s more of a walk in and find a seat this is not a high end stuffy restaurant where you will be carried to your seat and a napkin placed on your lap! However, I would say the food is close to high end. In fact the filet which is on special for $ 15 on Tuesdays is better that what I had at Shulas! Bam! The menu is small but has variety anything from a quick appetizer or salad to a burger WITHAMAZINGFRIES, or a steak or main dinner. Specials are always yummy and prices are good! Now that I’ve told you how great this place is… just save me a seat please :)

I came to Sagra for a work Holiday Party. It’s a cute store front decorated with some lights for the Holiday. However, unless you are looking for it it’s very easy to miss at night. Upon entering I loved the décor immediately. It’s dark charcoal walls and modern day paintings made it intimate and brought up the upscale ambiance. Inside was decorated for the Holiday and they had what I would describe as «coffee house» music playing. All modern tunes but in a slow melodic manner. I was a little disappointed in the service at first. We weren’t greeted until we walked to the back of the restaurant to the bar. There were 2 other people at the bar… it’s not like they were mobbed. We chose a table and the 4 of us sat to eat. I wanted the house cab as my drink. The waiter wasn’t exactly sure what it was and had to go ask but brought out a bit for us to sample and even upsold us on a bottle. We ordered the Coconut Shrimp and Philly Cheese Steak Spring Rolls as appetizers. They were well cooked and tasted amazing. It was enough for 4 people to share. I ordered the Asian Salmon and a baked potato and it was cooked to perfection. I was very impressed with the taste, the display and the amount of food given. Dessert was NY Style Cheesecake and after working in NYC for a good many years, I have high standards. It was perfect. The only complaint I have was the waiter and the chef(who happened to be the owner that night) did not communicate what was available from the menu and what was not available. One of the people in my party ordered something that was not available. When she was told this she was disappointed but ordered something else, only to be told that ALSO was not available. She ended up getting something she had no desire for and ended up talking 75% of it home. It was disorganized and unprofessional seeing how we were 1 of 3 tables in the place. I do recommend Sagra for the food quality and the upscale ambiance.

Service was slow and server just didn’t seem interested. Being a vegetarian I ordered the pasta with veggies which was bland, had crunchy obviously re-heated pasta. I had a 2 year old child with me and they provided her with a juice in a large glass filled only half way and charged $ 4.00 for it. Perhaps the dishes with meat/seafood are better, but I was not impressed at all.

Was surprised why this place got such good reviews. Food was mediocre, bland, and EXTREMELY overpriced for what you get. Some dishes didn’t even come with a potato type side. And for this, you pay $ 18-$ 22 for a 3 – 4 oz. piece of meat and couple of stalks of broccoli? When asked to substitute a side for a child, was told no, but we could«add» that side(a type of potato) for additional $$ which we did to accommodate our child. Bar drinks were just okay, and you certainly didn’t get much for the $ 9-$ 11 per drink!!! I thought, that’s all I get… totally felt ripped off by the drink size. All in all, wouldn’t go back. I could spend that type of money at another restaurant with a nicer atmosphere, and get much larger portions… much better bar drinks. Stick with a $ 5 bottle beer if you must. Service was very good, but cold at first. No one approached us to seat us when we came in and then, reluctantly, did… strange. I guess they don’t want patrons??? The place was empty, so it wasnt like they were too busy to find us a table, As the meal progressed, the server warmed up a bit. My guess is because we ordered quit a bit, including drinks from the bar, so they were happy with us. Advice to the chef. Turn down the temperature on your soup. It was SCALDING… SCALDING hot! I burned my entire mouth with the first spoonful and so eating the rest of my dinner was difficult. I have never burned my entire mouth… my tongue at times, yes… but this burned my tongue, roof and walls of my mouth. It didn’t cool down until the entrée arrived 20 minutes later, and that was with constant stirring and blowing on the bowl… that’s how hot it was. Dangerous. Oh, and even though this place COULD be cozy and intimate, the noise level is off the charts, between conversation, and the ridiculous choice of music blaring through the place. When I spend nearly $ 200 for dinner for three, I don’t want to be listening to Arianna Grande and Maroon 5. Not really the atmosphere you’d expect. All in all, nothing to write home about. Go elsewhere. I won’t be back. You can get more for that kind if money, with friendlier service, elsewhere.

Thumbs down on the new décor, maybe it is not that new and it really has been THAT long since I was in. But, the food is why we go and were again not disappointed. Four of us had two dishes. Two had the Thursday price fixe salmon, reported as good but not memorable. Two had the filet(yes we paid full price). The filet was very flavorful, like it had a brine bath. Nicely done. We especially like the service here, very warm and friendly. Drink prices for wine and beer are reasonable and they’ll sell you a small glass, large glass or bottle. Overall, great weeknight place where prices are ireasonable, service is great and the meal is always good.

We always have a great meal here. I feel like Norm at Cheers — everyone knows me and it truly is a friendly, family atmosphere. My wife loves the charred broccoli that comes with the meal — and always orders the cheese torte!

Great service. The entrees were uniquely prepared and the desert was made fresh that day by our server. A wide choice of drinks. A wonderful place for a casual dinner.

What happened?! We used to love the intimate atmosphere and walked in last night to a changed sagra… We felt like we were dining in a fire hall! Very disappointing! If it wasn’t valentines day I surely would have walked out— but I knew at that hour we won’t get dinner without a reservation anywhere else. To be fair the food was quite good… But I struggled with this because there is not much to choose from. My husband loves the bubble bread and the Caesar salad which again he was pleased with… Tomato bisque was one of the best I had. However I don’t think that we will be returning anytime soon.
