Having a true butcher — priceless! We stopped buying supermarket ground meat some time ago due to health concerns, and Saylor’s is now our go-to source for meat. Their pork and beef are top quality, and their sausages are superb. We had shopped at their farm store and at the Allentown Farmers Market with them years ago, it’s great to have a true store so close by. Recommended!

Not worth it unless it’s convenient. Expensive but quality is good. Tim, the owner, is very friendly but I don’t see him often. There is a middle aged woman who is also very friendly and over the top with customer service. I wish they were all like that. Mostly, the wife of the owner and a younger blonde woman act like you are an annoyance. It makes me want to avoid this place as much as possible, they will not make you feel comfortable there. God for bid, you don’t know a cut of meat or have a question. You will get the eye roll and an attitude along with it. It’s a hit or more often a miss with service. Quality and service is the better at Valley Farm on Stefko Blvd. I come here if it’s last minute and need convenience. Catering food is not good, food is dry and tastes off. For a local caterer, Culinary Experience Catering has cheaper prices, amazing staff that is over the top because they’ll go over the top for you. Most importantly, they have really, really great food — .

This place was very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. A very good choice of meats. I purchased bison, venison, and their homemade sausages. The homemade Chorizo is outstanding! The jalapeño and cheese sausage was also very good but didn’t match the Chorizo. I had the Flat Iron Bison Steaks on the grill and they were excellent. The prices are a bit more but you would expect that at a place like this. I highly recommend if you want some different types of meats.

Everything from soups and sandwiches to their meats are really good. They make a fantastic Pepper Bacon which they thick slice for me when I request it in advance(very tasty!) Just had some of their homemade Mushroom soup w/sherry.(.loaded with mushrooms and flavor). They have specials on facebook often… Their rolls they sell from Anthony and Sons were great with sloppy joes along with their ground beef… highly recommend checking them out on Main St. in Hellertown across from the 7 – 11 :)

Drove an older friend from Whitehall to Hellertown to this specialty meat shop. She is Czech and likes kielbasa and other German-type meats. I’ve always been partial to Hillshire Farms kielbasa, but don’t buy it often since it contains MSG. My friend gave me a piece of her kielbasa(with no MSG) and it was an entirely different taste treat — very good! The meat selection looked so good that I got some meatloaf mix and two kinds of Italian sausage, mild and sweet. I haven’t been able to find Italian sausage to my taste in the Lehigh Valley, so I thought I’d give it a try. I haven’t cooked it yet, so will update this review later. Just wanted to get this posted so others would know of it’s existence. I believe they were somewhere else in Allentown before moving to Hellertown, so maybe others are looking for their new location. I will definitely go back. I will find out more information and post it later.
