This Crossfit gym has great coaches and a welcoming family friendly camaraderie. There are several different times a day to workout. All the coaches are friendly, welcoming and eager to help you with your form. It’s a great place for beginners and people who want to get a good workout in :). And it’s just a fun place to workout!

I highly recommend this Crossfit gym. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or if you are a pro and need a new gym. The people who own this gym and the people who workout at this gym are some of the best people I have ever met. Where do I begin… I was probably one of the laziest people you would ever meet. I am naturally thin so I never thought that I needed to work out. I was physically weak though and«skinny fat» which basically means just out of shape. I have never worked out a day in my life. I also had every excuse in the book to not work out. From back problems to health issues. I was recommended to come to this gym through a friend. The first day was an intro & it was so hard for me. I could barely finish it. The trainer never left my side. She listened to me and tweaked the workout for me. She corrected my form so I wouldn’t hurt myself. She encouraged me. I didn’t come back for a week. I was pretty jaded about crossfit. But, this gym will change anyone’s mind. When I came back I had a different instructor but I was treated the same way. He was warm and encouraging. It made me want to do better. Not just for me. But to show this person that I can do this. I am happy to say I have been doing this for over a month. It’s still a challenge but I never feel like I can’t do it. The instructors always go over the workout. They find a weight that I can do and make modifications to the workout so I am able to complete them. I can honestly tell you I feel great. I have not hurt myself. My back which has always been a problem feels amazing. My sore is a healthy sore. I enjoy the people there. I enjoy the environment. This place rocks.

I’ve been attending CFBR for the past year. First week into the routine, I immediately felt a sense of camaraderie.

I’ve been Crossfitting for over 2 years. Visiting different boxes all over the U.S. I came to CrossFit Bandera Rd on the invitation of a friend. I was told I needed to come early and do a baseline workout. So I went early and got ready for the workout. Told the coach a little about my background in crossfit. This is a timed workout(6 – 10 min) to see where you are compared to others. After I started the workout I asked if he was counting and his response«no because you haven’t done one right.» So your telling me I’m doing air squats and instead of telling me you want me to go a little further you just watch me. How is that coaching? He continues to speak down to me and tell me how this move is the basis of crossfit. I continue the workout and finish with a decent time. As soon as I’m done. I’m getting scolded like I’m 5 years old. He asked why did you come today. I said I’m here to support my friend in her weight loss journey for her wedding. I thought you wanted to get better at CF. No, I’m here because she invited me. He continues to argue with me for why I’m here. I tell him, «I’m not here to argue with you. I’m here to support her and have fun.» After one more rude comment from him saying«she doesn’t need my support.» I said, I was leaving. He said, «I think that’s a good idea.» If this guy had an ounce of character, business sense, and common sense he would have handled the situation in his favor. By during the workout taking the time to COACH not criticize me. I would have possibly been interested in taking more classes… It seems his mother didn’t teach him the golden rule. I have plenty of other CrossFit gyms I would recommend going to have a good workout exchange in some friendly competition.
