The food is good, i think is a little expensive for chicken but its good chicken, the service needs some work, they look like they were having a party behind the registers, they talking to each other and dont pay attention to customers. Where was the manager or supervisor???

I absolutely adore this location, actually is the only one I’ve been to and likely the only one I would ever go to. They are clean, friendly, and the food is always fresh. The chicken is delicious and so are the sides, there’s a little unlimited salsa bar with different types of salsa that work well to enhance the food. Don’t even think of KFC when coming here, KFC couldn’t even touch this place.

I absolutely think the French fries they have here are just plain delicious as well as the fried chicken. You can also get rice and bean sides as well as deserts like flan. Stay was really nice loved the employees they was friendly always kept a smile on their face.

Food is great it’s like a Spanish style KFC. The chicken is completely delicious as well as the sides which is rice and beans and not mash potato or fries. Food taste more natural like if it was cooked at home unlike KFC or Popeye’s as their food taste processed like most fast-food taste.

Best chicken ever. Better than KFC and Popeyes. I love it. We are usually in and out with our order.

This place beats KFC hands down. Great flavor nice people. Defenetly A must try. Instead of fries and mash potato as sides they have rice and beans.

Better than kfc(crispy) chiken pieces. The seasonings on the chicken was just right not as salty at kfc, and plantains were great. It says Mexican dishes but it’s more like Central American-Salvadorian thing.

Good chicken, flavorful and moist. Better than most other fried chicken chain restaurants. Their choices of sides are decent, French fries were really good. One gets the sense that the food is fresher than the other fast food places, even though this is ultimately a ‘latin’ fast food restaurant. Packed tables full of dining patrons, good salsa station, busy employees working purposefully. If they have special deals. It’s usually a good value. In a small mall with plenty of parking, getting in and out was easy.

Decided to give this restaurant a redemption and this time the chicken was very good. It was juicy, tender and being hungry did not give the chicken a taste advantage either. Next time I’m in the Hempstead area, will definitely get on the 12 piece special again.

I pass this place all the time so I decide to give it a try. The customer service is great. I’m not into eating friend chicken from fast food places but they had empanadas that are made with white meat. The empanadas taste SOOOOOGOOD! The Campero Beans were delicious and flavorfull. The only concern I had was their black beans. The black beans was watery and did not have any flavor. The pico de gallo(from the salsa bar) need a little more cliantro and ripe tomatoes.

I stumbled in here by chance an boy was I in for a treat. When one thinks of Hispanic cuisine, fried chicken doesn’t normally come to mind. At Pollo Campero however, they do it right! Succulent, crisp, juicy and flavorful fried chicken is what I had the pleasure of eating. That was accompanied by crisp, golden brown fries and a soft dinner roll, all for about $ 7.50. I also tasted one of their bowls, which was packed with grilled chicken breast and a wonderfully seasoned cilantro rice. I did not try their baked or grilled chicken so I can’t comment. What I can say is that this fried chicken rivaled many of the national chains and had great service by really sweet staff. I’d love to go back.

So I must admit, I am Hispanic but had never heard of Pollo Campero. And although the gimmicky character of a chicken cowboy seemed silly, I decided to give them a try. And I am so glad I did! The food was D-licious! Capital D people! It’s basically fast food– Spanish style. I got the chicken strips with honey mustard sauce. The flavoring of the chicken is really good and different from KFC or Popeye’s. The yellow rice with veggies was yummy and the platanos(sweet plantains) tasted homemade. All the combo meals come with a roll and although plain, that was tasty too. I think it was a potato roll. I was disappointed in the flan as it was borderline edible. But I was still happy they offer it. The dining area was clean and there are a lot of booths. I’ll definitely be hitting up this chain more often now!
