I have no idea why there are bad reviews! Lady Anna was a joy! Patient and informative! The doughnuts were fresh and delicious. They also offer inexpensive bagel and croissant breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches. Conveniently located in a strip mall at Green Valley and Sunset. I recommend highly!!!

Just stopped in, first time, and ordered a breakfast sandwich. Best bagel, ham, egg, and cheese I’ve had in a long time. At a great price as well. Looking forward to trying the lunch sandwiches.

Wow, if you like donuts you got a checkout this place. Best time to get one is around 10 am. Coffee is ok! The glaze donuts rocks, also try blueberry bunt cake and the bavarian cream donut. Get there early for some donut holes.

Items Selected: Maple Old Fashioned Raised and Glazed Buttermilk Bar Blueberry Bundt Cake One of the few remaining bakeries on the Las Vegas«to-do» list it was entirely its proximity to breakfast at Black Bear Diner that finally saw a stop at Bakery King and with the strange smell of what can only be described as ‘machinery’ heavy in the air as I crossed the door’s threshold suffice it to say that it remains a mystery as to over whom, exactly, this strip-mall bakery holds sovereignty. Small in size and stripped in décor it was just after 8:30am that I entered the Smoke-shop adjacent store and with perhaps a dozen total items available it was apparently a mother and son duo whose conversation was interrupted by my arrival, a few questions answered indicating that ‘some’ items are baked in-house while others are ‘brought in from our other location, a wholesale bakery’ — whatever that means. Charged $ 4.68 for a quartet of selections with the comment«review us on Unilocal» suggested as I snapped a picture of an old review on the wall it was only on relocating to more cozy environs that I actually took pictures of the carelessly bagged wares and began a sampling of each, the yeasted doughnut essentially inedible and almost undoubtedly a day old while the Old-Fashioned was also so dry that a single bite would suffice. Moving on to a buttermilk bar that was more ‘butter’ than buttermilk, and perhaps better for it as it was at least kept moist compared to those already tried, it was finally in the hefty bundt cake that I stuck a fork and topped with plenty of icing plus a core of gelatinous blueberries the results were, at best, mixed — the best of the bunch, sure, but nowhere near as good as those at Nothing Bundt Cakes… though admittedly at about one-half the price. Largely an unmitigated disaster in execution with a storefront and scent that makes me wonder how they’ve managed to stay in business for more than a couple months it would be hard to name one reason to visit Bakery King when no less than a dozen local spots are making far better doughnuts at a similar price-point, though perhaps proximity to a smoke shop drives some business from the ever discerning ‘munchies’ crowd.

UPDATE: Okay, so, this place has gone downhill in a big way. Called a week in advance to order 4 dozen donuts. Was told I just need to stop in the day before. So I did. The lady who took my order had a weird lack of confidence that the baker was going to get the order, and even told me to call back later in the day to make sure she got it. Well, I figured that’s *their* job to make sure things like that happen, and didn’t call. Showed up at 8 a.m. on the dot to pick up my order(because this donut shop doesn’t open until 8! Also very weird) and the store was not even open, no one in sight. Finally, at 8:10, a different lady wanders up to the door and opens up the store– and boy did she seem surprised to find out I was picking up 4 dz. donuts. She was able to box up my order(took about 15 minutes, making me 25 minutes late overall), but then seemed stressed about having enough supply for the rest of the day. The donuts weren’t even great, they tasted like day-old leftovers. So, I have no idea what’s going on with this place… but I will not be wasting my time there again.

I went back to give this a try again, and it was not the same. First, this donut shop does not open until 9am on a Saturday. .. what sort of donut shop opens that late on a Saturday and is closed on Sunday? Second, when I did get there, I saw that they were unpacking donuts from another location. I have a feeling that they get them from their other location on Eastern. I wanted a Boston Cream and was given a filled donut without chocolate. I asked if this was for sure a Boston Cream and they said, yes. .. but without the chocolate. Well when I got home, this glazed donut was filled with whip cream. .. completely gross. The other donuts weren’t good either and we ended up throwing them away. I don’t know what happened since the last time I was there, but I certainly NEVER going back. Besides, if you’re going to resell donuts that other people make, you should resell the ones from Friendly on Boulder Highway. Now I would go to your donut shop if you sold their donuts. .. it is just too far to go to Boulder Highway everytime we want donuts.

Yup. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. I guess waking up and opening your store on time every day is too much for this business owner. You call yourself a King? Maybe a King of Sleeping. The few times your store was open when it was suppose to be i thought your donuts were bomb. Unfortunately I don’t have time to wait all day for you. I dethrone you dude.

This commercial bakery was recently relocated and, in the process, opened a small retail outlet. The long established commercial side of the bakery supplies Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Hilton Grand Vacations with baked goods, but it seems the retail end was an after thought as it is poorly set up with no tables and only a few upholstered chairs. A special of a coffee and choice of any baked good was being offered for $ 1.50. I don’t drink coffee or tea so I was planning on ordering just a donut, but the clerk said she could substitute milk. We ended up sharing a cheese Danish and old fashioned donut with both being pretty ordinary

Really people! Giving 5 an 4 stars. This place is garbage. Donuts were hard, and taste like box donuts. I am not going to kill them by giving 1 star, only because they are not the worst I had here in Vegas.

I’ve been wanting to stop by here before work for weeks and I finally had the chance this past week and it was definitely worth it! They currently have a $ 1.50 deal for a doughnut and a cup of coffee; the perfect way to start your Friday. Their pastries and doughnuts are delicious! Absolutely stop by if you get the chance.

I was in the area for lunch at Ross J’s and decided to look for a dessert spot. I pulled out my trusty Unilocal app to see what I bookmarked in the area. Bakery King popped to the top of the list. and I remember Jaime W’s recent check-ins so I had to give them a shot. It’s a small little donut shop in an inconspicuous strip mall. I walked in and they have tons of donut options. All the donuts are enormous, but they actually have ones that are the size of cakes for about $ 3.50. What a deal! I ended up with a chocolate donut that was fluffy and moist. Pretty great, probably even better if I came earlier in the day when they are freshly made. I’d definitely come back if I’m in the area again. The prices are reasonable $ 1.50 for a coffee and donut or they have deals on a dozen as well.

I must give this place one star. I received a coupon in the mail two months in a row and finally decided to try it out. First I went on Unilocal to see reviews and found one glowing review, needless to say I was excited to try them out. I get there and the woman behind the counter is on the phone, for me no big deal. She then come around to help, I let her know that I have a coupon for buy one dozen get one dozen free. She informs me that it is only for cake doughnuts. I say okay I won’t use the coupon and just get a dozen asst. she then informs me that she will allow me to have one cream filled and one jelly, but I must purchase cake doughnuts! I did not want cake, and would have wanted to choose my own flavors. I told her never mind and would just go somewhere else. Sadly, I did not even get to try the doughnuts!
