I have to update my review yet again. Apparently the name has changed because the owners have changed. One of the previous owners bought out his partner and has made A LOT of changes, NOT for the better. First of all, it is still a Chargers bar. However, during games they no longer offer many specials and they don’t have giveaways, so there isn’t much of a crowd. Upstairs they’ve also ripped out all of the video poker machines and made it totally non smoking(which is good, IMO). They no longer offer crab nachos, which was one of the best things on the menu. And most popular. There are also small changes, like not putting a shrimp in your bloody mary anymore. Upstairs used to be my favorite place, now I feel like they are doing everything they can to shut this place down. They don’t restock beers, they are out of guacamole, etc. Is this a restaurant? The staff is still super friendly, but I can tell they are frustrated by the changes. And regular customers like me don’t like it.

Having moved just a mile from this place, I had high hopes. The first handful of times we’ve been either as a family, or just my husband and I to the bar, we’ve had a great experience. The staff was always friendly and the food and drink items were always delicious. The atmosphere was fun as well. We ate downstairs with the kids and gave them tokens to play games while they waited for their food, and if were just the husband and I, we’d sit at the bar before I challenged him to a game of basketball in the arcade(where I have to mention that I kick his butt every single time). Now, when we bring other people with us as we like to share our ‘spots, we go upstairs to enjoy the view of the valley. It really is an amazing view. The past two months though, this place has gone downhill. Slow service, food being cooked not the way we assumed it would be. There have been rumors that it was new management 3 times we’ve been there, all in different months. THEN the icing on the cake was us not being served for OVERANHOUR. A friend of ours did the hot wing challenge during this hour, so I admit we all were a little distracted with his attempt and didnt realize that we STILL didnt have the food that we had ordered 40 minutes ago(aside from the hot wings and alcoholic beverages). Our waitress DIDNOT at any time, mention that the head cook just up and quit that night, or didn’t show up-we asked two other employees that we saw and those were their explanations. We waited around another 10 minutes to at least finish our drinks, then our party of 8 walked out(after we paid for the hot wings and drinks). I’ve never done this EVER, and was shocked that one of my favorite places had gone downhill. We went across the street to Buffalo Wild Wings and had amazing service, which was quite welcomed since it was past 9PM and we were all STARVING at that point. It’s really too bad. We loved this spot.

The boy and I couldn’t decide on what to eat so we just started driving. I had passed by earlier in the day with a co-worker and we noticed this place on our way back from lunch. I had been reading the reviews for this place for a little while as I’ve been on the lookout for new places to go during lunches at work so we don’t eat the same places ALL the time. I mentioned it to the boy and off we went. I was slightly apprehensive about coming in due to the previous reviews regarding their experiences with poor service(one of my biggest pet peeves), but devided to put those thoughts behind me. We entered and were greeted and seated immediately. We sat in the bar side and had a great view of the olympics being played on 3 large screens and 2 additional smaller screens in the back. Our server came over right away and took our drink order. He checked on us a couple of times, without being pushy, to see if we were ready to place our order. I landed on the turkey pot pie which comes with a side salad and the boy got a burrito. The salad was a mixed green variety, with some of the healthier greens(not just iceburg) and some veggies. It was a good size, without being too filling before the meal. Odie(our server) came by to check on us frequently and provided updates for our food, explaining they make the pot pie from scratch, etc. We weren’t just forgotten until he needed to provide our meal or until he wanted the check, he made sure to stop by and check on us regularly, again, without being too pushy or too frequent. We ended up spending just over $ 30. The boy finished his meal, so no leftovers for him. I had quite a bit of the pot pie left, so I got two meals out of my dish. Had we looked at the price of drinks, we likely would have stuck with just water. We both ordered sodas, which are a litle pricey in my opinion. They have some decent looking lunch specials for $ 5.95. I will definitely come back with my coworker and try a couple out.

We used to be regulars here. No more. The service on the family side has gotten worse and worse. I was told by a server that theyd been through manager after manager in just A few short months. Either the people are unmanagable, or the owners a jerk, or both(i can easily see an owner who wont allow the manager to fire his«pets», no matter how bad the service. We recieved such poor, SURLY service for FATHERSDAY brunch that we wont ever be back. What a shame. Because they have the only family arcade/restaurant around that i know of. However, most of the machines are broken or out of tickets, and they dont keep prizes stocked. The bar area might be different, but the family side is in definite need of SERIOUS help.

They are changing the name to Beach House. I really like this place. The location is perfect. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but they have a lot to offer here. + Awesome view of the valley from the 2nd floor patio(with fire pit!) + A lobster-catching machine. It’s $ 2 to play, but if there are a lot of lobsters in the tank, your odds are good. They’ll cook your catch for you! + Live music and delicious food & drinks(try the black cherry mojito!) + The upstairs has a different feel than downstairs. + An arcade for the kiddies if you must bring them along. + Steak and lobster! + An elevator, which was awesome for my handicap grandpa. — Make sure your server doesn’t take gratuity for five people AND a tip. Their checks are kind of confusing. — The prices for the eating contest items. WTF. $ 35 for a burger? Hell. No. — The garlic bread didn’t have any garlic taste…
