Absolutely ridiculous. This is not my first time dealing with Nevada Imaging when needing an MRI but now it’s pretty clear how they operate. When I made an appt WEEKS ago I specifically asked for any amount I would owe BEFORE my appt if any because I had already met my deductible for 2015. My appt is tommorrow at 8:30 am and I JUSTNOW got a phone call from a very rude female who called to confirm my appt and in a very casual way disclosed that I would now have to pay $ 450 outside of my insurance. Makes a ton of sense. Makes sense other than a few things… A. I asked for a callback if there was a copay. B. Waiting til I had no other option but to pay is extremely unethical. Had they called before last year was up(I called mid december) I could’ve called around and got in somewhere else in 2015 and paid ZERO. C. When explaining my frustrations the person that called me interrupted me repeatedly. She felt the need to quickly tell me it’s not her fault and she could not do anything. «I will TRY to have my Director call you…). D. Really? For a $ 4000+ charge to my insurance you HOPE your director can call me??? What a great business model. Communicate poorly. Wait til the last second to drop a ridiculous charge in someone. Make sure the person talking to your customer has zero empowerment, empathy or approachability. I will be sure to post something similar for the awful doctor that referred me there. Please do not patronize them
