just ate here and the Food is seasoned w pepper only. don’t order the fajitas because it’s a mystery meat plank. ordering g a burrito? be prepared for a whole onion inside it and nothing else but unseasoned mystery meat. will never go back !

Came Here on a Thursday night. Was skeptical at first, but extremely surprised. Very busy so service was a little slow, but staff was very pleasant and fun to be around. Atmosphere was nice family dining. Food was close to the best mexican I’ve had in a while. Will be back.

Great place to eat. Definitely try the Pollo Creamosa (sp).

The freshness of the salsa bar and the prompt courteous staff was a very good start to my lunch. Maria was a very good waitress and provided very fast service. No to the food… very authentic Mexican fare. I had the chicken soup, very tasty. Bed of rice, good rich broth and large chunks of meat. Hand made tortillas were excellent. Now to the big news… I have eaten Flan all across the Americas… Never have I had a better custard. If this was from a mix then I am Montezuma. This fat kid will be back to try the rest of the menu.

The food is was very good. The portions are huge and you will almost definitely have leftovers! The menu has lots to choose from, but the quality doesn’t suffer for it.
Just a short drive from Flat Rock, it was worth it!

I have two words: Chicken Chimichangas. It is my favorite meal at Janitzio. Their chips and salsa is also addicting. I will admit that I don’t know much about authentic Mexican food. What I do know is that the food here tastes good, is consistent, and doesn’t break the bank.
This is definitely one of my wife and I’s go-​to places when we don’t feel like cooking.

Stopped by for Sunday lunch with the church group, 8 of us. The menu is very extensive which leads me to believe that the quality can’t be that great. It’s hard to believe that any place can do dishes from all of the regions of Mexico, correctly … and this experience confirmed my suspicion. With all the Mexican restaurants in Hendersonville, competition is fierce and I was unimpressed with this one. Don’t waist your time and money at this place. The service was slow, at least a 40 minute wait for our food and we were one of three tables in the whole place. My friend who had the exact same dish last weekend said that the food is inconsistent … I wouldn’t recommend this place for Sunday lunch. My dish was bland, dry and the shrimp were cut up into tiny bite size pieces this afternoon.

We love Janitzio! The food is always great and the service is fun, fast and reliable. Everyone who works here has a great attitude and is proud of their work. The head server is funny and remembers everyone. By our third visit, he knew our tastes and was able to recommend specific menu items for us. Our favorite items are the tamales, sopa de pollo and the tacos.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in town. They have great service and fresh food. I eat here often and enjoy it every time.

Great service and food. Had the Torta Cubana and it was huge (steak, bacon, eggs, pork, chicken)! The taco salads had a bit too much dressing, but still tasty.

Do not bother with this one… so many great places in Hendersonville and surrounding areas… Food was dried out and tasteless… server was nice but there was no heat in the restrooms and no lights on in the entry area that has a couple benches… almost tripped on one…
