Great atmosphere and great place to relax. Pastries look unappetizing, small, and odd though.

Before finding Jongo Java’s I always thought I hated scones: compacted, dry, tasteless triangles with some hard, shriveled raisins thrown in. Might as well eat cardboard. If you’ve never met a scone you liked try Jongo Java’s light, moist, tasty scones and you’ll be happy you did. I like the peach scones.

My fiancé and I stopped in for a quick cup of coffee and were pleased to find out most of the positive reviews were accurate. The café con leche was very good and that’s coming from someone who lived in Miami and knows what a good café con leche should taste like. My fiancé is lactose intolerant so we were happy to find they offered multiple dairy free options; soy milk, almond milk and coconut milk. The cashier suggested that she try the vanilla almond milk hot chocolate, which was as good as she promised. Not to mention the atmosphere is quaint but also very large so we didn’t feel crowded during he afternoon rush. Will be coming back when we have more time to explore the cute downtown area where this coffee shop is located.

Came here last night because we were trying to get warm and we were waiting to go to a play at 8 pm and were super early. Unsure of what to order we asked Jay(I think the owner?). He recommended the Cortadito. It was the best cup of coffee I have ever had. Very strong expresso with caramelized sugar and not to many calories. We also had a coconut macaroon. All the bake goods are made homemade in house. Delicious!!! The staff was very friendly and very interactive with the customers. It was a great place to chill. If I lived in Hendersonville I am sure I would be a regular ;)

Came in here from the rain storm outside. Such a sweet place — super cozy, good coffee and yummy treats. Not a «hipster» pour-over joint, but yummy and solid nonetheless. Great place to settle down and study for a few hours. Highly recommended!

We went here for lunch twice. My husband had the roast beef on bagel, I had the turkey. The sandwiches were super sized. The bagel was a true New York styled bagel.

I have been wanting to try this place when I’m in town visiting family. It is next door to my favorite restaurant, Never Blue. So finally, after lunch, my boyfriend and I walked over for an iced coffee for the road. The service was friendly, the coffee was tasty and I loved the quirky interior(plus they have a lovely outdoor sidewalk seating area). There was also the most delicious smell coming from their kitchen… cookies or brownies, not sure, but mmmmm… It is large, with a lot of seating areas. Before we left with our coffee to go, we both went back to the restroom. Coming back to the front, I saw a sign on a pillar that said ‘if you were mean, we gave you decaf’. ha. cute!

This. Place. Is. Awesome. I come here any time I visit Hendersonville for work. Their smoothies are delish! I love that they have pollen and local honey. The servers are always on point and the coffee is great! There’s also a plethora of seating for doing computer work or hanging out and relaxing.

Great atmosphere, friendly attentive staff, and the BEST chocolate coconut scones around. Perfect place to hold a meeting or card game or read or work on your computer. The coffees are excellent! A variety of sitting accommodations, i.e. small tables, large tables, living room sofas and outside tables. They offer food, coffees, teas and pastries. Wish they would stay open later… especially on Sundays. I tried to buy coffee and scones a few moments after their closing time and was turned away because the server had«already counted the cash.» I would have given them five stars if not for that lack of flexibility on her part.

Great local place with an Eco friendly business plan. All food is homemade and locally sourced… as much as possible. Great coffee and music.

Let me be honest: when I walk into a coffee shop that bills themselves as an «environmentally friendly» coffee shop I get a little nervous. Most of the free-trade, locally brewed coffee I have had is over-roasted and bitter(I’m sure not all places are like that, it’s simply my experience). But, I was finally rewarded with different results for doing the same thing over and over. Jongo Java’s coffee is some of the best I have ever had. I had the light roast; it was smooth on the tongue without any of the bitterness I was expecting. The blueberry scone-bar was scrumptious. Add to that the wonderfully friendly staff, and you have a place that is worth the visit.

I come here since I know Hendersonville, the people are great in here, a real local place! Southern hospitality sure is for real ! We get coffee and scones in the morning or a breakfast wrap all real good, the scones seam home made! I also like the changing exhibitions they have, very interesting not too cheesy! I never tried the smoothies but I m sure they are awesome too! They are offering pasta to steer your coffee I think that’s a great option to avoid plastic wast and NO the gluten does not jump out of the noodle in you coffee so it is save for gluten intolerant people, in contrary to the top a person left on this place! You can sit outside or inside.

Hendersonville is a lovely little town. The people here were all super friendly. We found Jongo Java just down the street from their town information and welcome center. The staff was very sweet and helpful and their shop was so comfortable! They have lots of places to sit and enjoy your coffee and pastries and to spend time with friends. I had a pumpkin chai and split an apple tart with my boyfriend. I could have sat there all day!!! My drink was super tasty and the tart was delectable! They have tons of other snacks to choose from as well. They are all fresh and I think made by a local bakery. I wish I had tried more of their scones. I will definitely visit them again the next time I’m in Hendersonville.

Great spot in historical Hendersonville. Every wall and column is of a different but welcoming color with equally eclectic furniture. Very cozy and it has a great selection of coffee, frappes, and edibles. From first glance you can see this is the community hang out. The front door is covered with publications for local events and businesses. Enter the doors and you will find a blue column on your right dedicated to the mugs of frequent patrons just hanging around. Continue further through the building and you will find books for reading, art for sale, and local crafts. You will also find seating to accommodate everyone’s preference: comfy couches, high top table and chairs, leather chair, and family style round table and chairs as well. During my visit I had«the pie»; a pumpkin and vanilla latte with 3 shots of espresso! Yum! It was just the right mix of coffee and pumpkin flavoring. Can’t wait to come back and visit again.

I’ve been disappointed both times we’ve gone here. The first time I ordered a smoothie, and it had no flavor! The second time, I ordered a peppermint mocha. Again, it had no flavor! A real bummer!

Jongo Java fits right into the neighborhood. Located in the historic district of Hendersonville, this coffee shop has just the right amount of coziness, hipster vibe, and locally sourced goodies. It is also located in a little business park, as most of the joe joints in this area seem to be. JJ provides a good(and pretty much the only one within the downtown strip) place to coffee it up. The offerings are standard and affordable. Even for a Saturday afternoon, JJ was extremely empty and quiet. It made for a nice time to get some work done via their wi-fi. I would prefer a bit more selection on the menu, but the coffee is solid. Also, there is limited desk seating, so that is somewhat inconvenient if you are looking to crank out some studying.
