Really reasonable prices. My favorite is the goat cheese pizza.

Hands down, West First is one of the best restaurants in Hendersonville. Quality food and good people.

The restaurant was understaffed so we had to wait and the service was slow. My party had 3 different 9″ pizzas and likes all of them veggie, bbq chicken and I had the goat cheese. My pizza was very good with fresh toppings and a great crust. My son had the trout po boy and he really liked it as well.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is relaxed and cozy. We order the Mediterranean appetizer, the house salad without feta and the mixed veggie bowl. Each were good in there own, but the bowl could have used a bit more pizazz. All and all I would eat there again.

This restaurant sits on a side street in beautiful downtown Hendersonville, and has the best pizza I have ever tasted hands down. The family favorite is the BBQ chicken. Whenever I go there with family or friends, we usually get one BBQ chicken pizza and another different one or two. I’ve had the salmon, lamb, southwestern, and scallop pizzas, all of which taste great. The iced herbal tea they have there is also amazing.

We stopped here on a Saturday at lunch time. Downtown area was hopping but we were able to get a table for four right away at 1 pm. They have many items on their menu from salads, sandwiches, pizzas and calzones. We got a regular pizza to share as we wanted a light lunch before getting ice cream down the street. The regular pizza serves 8 slices so it worked out great for our group. We got the bbq chicken pizza and it was very tasty. Very fresh and the sauce was delicious. They bring you water in a large liter glass bottle that is room temperature. I don’t recall being asked if we wanted other drinks but they do have a full bar. Besides inside(two level seating) there is a heated patio seating available.

I would probably give this a 3.5 stars. Awesome atmosphere and staff! Loved the ginger and lime mojito. However, The local charcuterie and cheese plate was something to be desired.

Holy cow, that’s a great menu. From Salads to Pizza, it’s farm to table fare. I wanted to order everything. But, as my excitement lulled, I placed my order of an apple salad and a lamb pizza. OMG so good. So far this is one of my Hendersonville favorites. They have a great menu as I stated before, but I just wanted to make sure it registered in your heads.

I was really impressed with this place! It’s slightly off the beaten path because it’s not directly on Main Street but is still easy to find. The menu is large without being overwhelming and the prices are great. I brought my family here and we all got different salads in the smaller size(love that those are offered) and split a veggie pizza. There’s a wide variety of salads to pick from, all of which sounded great! The pizza was delicious — crust was thin and crispy, the marinara sauce was so tasty, and it was loaded with toppings and cheese. The waitress was really friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is fun and cool, and outside seating is available. Highly recommend this place for all ages! Definitely want to come back and try out the expansive dessert offerings…

A cool vibe and modern atmosphere greet you in this two level establishment. I had the potato pizza which had walnuts, carmelized onion and Gorgonzola cheese. Service was good. The wait stacked up quickly on a nice evening.

A very cool place! The inside looks great and I love sitting outside on the back deck. Pizza is always really good, they come 9″ and 13″ with a large verity of choices. They also have salad pasta entrée, and a great selection of apps that a few will satisfy. Service is lacking so be ready to brush off a «I don’t want to be here» attitude or waiting for a refill on water. Get what you can while your server is in front of you! Another very cool thing about West First is the Poe House is right underneath it!

Ok so this is the second time I’ve been to his restaurant but this time I came alone and sat at the bar. As you walk in there is a small hostess station and to the right a nice posh blue velvet sofa to sit as wait. Directly in the back of the kitchen wall you will see a large wood fired oven with beautiful mosaics .The ceilings are high and it has very metropolitan. feel There is a balcony with outdoor seating l ordered the½ portion of the local apple and roasted beet salad with bronzed grilled salmon. It had spinach and mixed greens, walnuts, roasted beets, apples, feta with an orange vinigrette. I’m usually very leri about ordering vinigrette as they may be to acidic but this dressing was delicious! The bronzed salmon filet was cooked perfect and had a nice crust on top with so much flavor. The only thing I regret was not ordering the full portion. This salad was amazing! Another thing that I did notice about the salad was it was perfect temperature it wasn’t too cold. I cannot stand it cold salad. As they watched the waitress is bringing out food two others„ the array of pizzas and sandwiches and salads were just beautiful and looked very yummy! The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful its right off of First Street in Downtown Hendersonville. The restaurant definitely gets crowded for lunch it’s obviously a popular spot so allow some time for seating. This is going to be my new favorite spot for sure!

I was very skeptical when my date told me we would be eating at a restaurant that mainly serves pizza because I’ve never been much of a pizza lover. However, this is definitely my new favorite restaurant. The best thing is, they serve many other things besides pizza. There are pastas, salads, sandwiches, etc. There are also daily specials that are magnificent. I ordered the salad that was on special which happened to be made with spring mix, raspberries, apples, goat cheese, and a cream soda vinaigrette. It was absolutely amazing. My date and I also split the veggie pizza which tasted amazing! They bake all of their pizzas and calzones in this enormous wood oven. I also loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. It’s a really lovely and friendly place. Also, they have some amazing artwork to admire! The last great thing about West First is the prices! My date and I spent only $ 35 on two delicious salads, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, and a glass of wine. The quality of the food is phenomenal. Highly recommend!

As West First is owned by the same folks who run the fabulous Flat Rock Bakery, I had high expectations. We were escaping from a busy crowded day in Asheville, and this funky laid-back spot felt like a little mountain oasis. We sat on the deck and started with the Greek salad, which was phenomenal. I haven’t had a better salad in a long time. My husband ordered the Puttanesca pizza and loved it. My Margherita pizza was good as far as the toppings but it tasted overdone, as if it had been left in the oven about 3 minutes too long so that the crust was charred. There is a reasonably priced selection of draft beers, bottled beers, and wine — including a number of unique drafts. I loved the atmosphere both inside and out. It is the kind of place you can take your(well-behaved) kids but still experience a relaxing evening with food that both adults and kids will enjoy.

I don’t know if I can come up with words that can do justice to how much I loved this. Truly wood fired pizza. Atmosphere and decorations are very modern and chic. They water on the table so you can pour it yourself(I wish all restaurants did that), though I wish it was cold or they gave you ice Split the 13″ BBQ chicken pizza with my husband, about 4 pieces each. Oh. My. God. I was wishing I had ordered the 9″(6 pieces) just for me because I just wanted to keep eating the deliciousness Other people at our table had sausage and pepperoni, and while it was good and very tasty, it didn’t stand a chance against ours

We came here based on reviews and love for a good pizza. We were seated quickly though it was pretty busy on a weekday. Our waitress took drink orders and brought us a big glass bottle of water for refills. Bonus for that, because my husband drinks a ton, plus the glasses were small. I started by ordering a West First salad and bread for the table. Their bread is delicious! You have to pay for it, but it is plentiful, comes with yummy garlic infused oil, and is well worth the price! The salad was also pretty good with goat cheese and dried cherries. Yum. The pizzas come in two sizes. One is personal and the other is a little larger. I shared one with my stepmom and my dad and husband each got personals. I don’t think anyone was too thrilled with their pizzas. My dad’s didn’t come with one of the ingredients he ordered, so they took it back. When they brought it back, the crust was really burnt. My crust was soggy. You couldn’t pick up the pizza and eat it as a slice because of the crust. The taste was ok. I’d come for the baked goods, but a pizza place where the pizza falls flat is just ok.
