Rustique Salon & Spa

I have been coming to Rustique for about two years. First for the Brazilian Blowout treatment, and now cuts, colors and facial waxing in addition to the BB treatment. The location is wonderful, very close to my house. Chris does my hair and he is wonderful. Always on time and works with me to learn what I want. He is a master at his craft, and can do my Brazilian Blowout in less than 2.5 hours!
I recently started seeing Nele for waxing services and I am very happy with her work. Her spa room is very relaxing and you do not hear the hustle and bustle of hair dryers and tools while you are with her. I am really looking forward to booking a facial sometime with her.
All in all, I love Rustique and I am so happy to have a great home for hair and waxing services!

I have been going to Sarah for awhile now and she is awesome. She is helping me grow out a pixie. If you have ever had super short hair, you know this is a huge feat. Sarah always listens to what I want/​need and helps me reach my goal. Sarah is a very talented stylist and I highly recommend her!

I moved to California from DC 6 months and change in climate really dried out my hair. I was coming to Richmond to visit my boyfriend’s family for the holidays. I stepped off the plane and my hair was a giant mess of tangles so I decided my hair needed a fresh start.
I found this place on Unilocal and it had great reviews so I called to make an appointment. Luckily, they had an opening the very next day!
I came in to see Alden and he took my hair that was down to the middle of my back and cut it into a long bob just below my shoulders. Even though I have had short hair in the past, i have had long hair for a few years and I was a little nervous to cut off 5 or 6 inches. Alden understood my somewhat unusual hair texture (fine, wavy, and lots of it) and the fact that I don’t put a lot of effort into styling it. He took care to not cut it into one even length so he razor cut it (which I wanted and didn’t even have to tell him) so that I wouldn’t have to devote a ton of effort into making it nice. Razor layers work with my hair’s natural tendency to wave.
I took a leap of faith in letting a complete stranger chop off my hair and it turned out well. Will go back when I’m in town again!

My hairstylist passed away unexpectedly, was looking for a new stylist. Kristine Kaliebe was recommended to me so I stopped in to talk with her, spur of the moment. LOVED her, and made an appt for the next week. She’s very pleasant, easy to talk to, I felt a connection with her personally. AND she gave a great cut. She talks to you about what you want, uses great cutting and styling techniques, and explained a few styling things that I didn’t know about — and I’m not young… I will definitely go back to her, and likely will get cuts more often since the experience with her was so positive. I like the salon too — it’s nice, clean, easy location to get to, easy parking, etc. But Kristine’s the big draw!

I absolutely LOVE Rustique! The salon is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and Megan is as good as it gets. I have thick, curly hair and have always been tasked with finding a hair stylist that could handle my crazy hair, but Megan does it with ease!
My husband now goes with me and sees Jo and his hair has never looked better!
Additionally, the Davines product line is exquisite!
I won’t go to any other salon in Richmond!

I was referred to Kristine by my sister, and now I’ve been seeing her for years! I’ve always been really happy with the outcome. Sometimes I’d go in and not really know what kind of cut I wanted, and I liked that Kristine had ideas of what would look good on me. Most recently, she styled my hair for engagement photos and she’ll also be doing hair for my wedding!

Rustique salon is hands down the best salon in the Richmond area. I’ve never religiously gotten my hair done anywhere until it was recommended that I go and see Kristine. I’ve been getting my hair cut and colored by Kristine for about 2 years now and I have never been more satisfied. I thoroughly enjoy every appointment I have with her, she works magic! I never know what I want going in there, and Kristine always has something amazing in mind for me. I have gone from the darkest of browns to the blondest of blondes, and she has made me look fabulous every time. The salon is extremely welcoming and a great spot to unwind and be pampered. I would most definitely recommend Rustiqe Salon and Spa for your hair care!

I’ve been seeing Kristine for about a year & half, and my sister has been seeing her for a couple of years. She’s great & the whole staff @ Rustique are awesome… everyone is polite, courteous, professional and always greet you with a smile. The salon is always clean and welcoming, a great place to relax and be pampered.

I love Rustique Salon! Not only is the salon absolutely gorgeous inside, but the Davines products are amazing. I’m addicted to the Nounou conditioner! I have had the hardest time taming my curls, and Megan knew exactly what Davines product to use, and Kristy came over and showed me exactly how to use it. The stylists are extremely knowledgable, and really friendly. I’m always really happy with the color Megan does on me– blonde, but really natural looking (and healthy for the first time in a while because of the Davines line). My friend is getting married and we are all going to salon for hair/​nails/​makeup before the wedding, and I’m so excited!

I’ve been getting cut by Kristine for about 3 years now and will follow her where ever she goes. This salon is much more comfortable than some of the other salons I’ve hit up in Richmond. Staff is friendly, place is spotless clean, and just like I would hope it smells like I died and went to relaxation heaven.
PS… if you’re a dude, just ask her to make you sexy. Don’t bother trying to explain how you want your hair because I’d bet money she knows better than you do.
