When you think of a true barbershop, this is it. Justin at Bubba’s routinely gives me the best haircut I’ve had in Richmond, and is one of the nicest, and most caring guys I’ve ever met. You can tell he takes pride in his haircuts, because it shows in his work every time. I never have a dull moment when I’m in the shop, and it reminds me of the shop I grew up getting my hair cut in. It also may be the most affordable option for a men’s haircut in Richmond now. If you are looking for an incredible haircut, do yourself a favor and go to Bubba’s and see Justin.

I have been getting my haircut at bubbas since I was 12, back in the day when Bubba was still in the store. These men are legends, they take their craft seriously but are also a riot when it comes to conversations. I don’t get my haircut anywhere else.

Being a northern transplant I was definitely nervous about being able to find a barber shop that cuts hair like your best barbers in Philadelphia, New York or Boston. Thankfully, I was recommended to Bubba’s.
If you are a guy who gets their hair cut (not styled), appreciates a good laugh (a few dirty jokes) and the overall experience of being in an authentic barber shop then Bubba’s is for you.
The staff are all great funny guys, ESPN is always on the TV and most importantly, they know how to cut hair. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve been getting my hair cut at Bubba’s for 15 years. My barber is Karl. He’s the best guy and barber that you would ever want to meet. I mean that. I live in New Kent, and still go there. Great place and great guys & and great man get away.

I love this place, I love that it probably hasn’t changed in 30 years too.
I start going here May-​August to get my yearly buzzcut… and they do a great job.
Listening to all of the barbers talk and squalk back and forth is hilarious and I’m sure when I’m in my 60’s or 70’s…I’ll probably be sitting there all day, everyday just soaking it all up.
Another plus, Bernies Sub shop is located two doors down so get your hair did and then go stuff your face.
