Their Buffalo Chicken Pizza is the best. A bit of sweet with the spicy is the perfect combination.

Solid NYC style pizzeria here! I’ve had pizza in some different places around Upstate NY now but this is the first time that I have had pizza exactly like from the city. As someone mentioned, Joe’s Brooklyn Pizza isn’t similar but exactly the same as NYC pizza! Definitely would recommend this place to people whom are craving NYC pizza. PS. had the BBQ chicken and Pepperoni Slices… absolutely fantastic!

Best NY style pizza in Rochester. Amazing sauce and perfectly cooked every time. It’s worth the drive to get this.

Simply Perfect. Once you have eaten great pizza in NYC then and only then will you know why anything else is a bad comparison. JOE’S BROOKLYNPIZZA is not similar to NYC pizza it ISNYC pizza. You may love pizza that is different, but IF it doesn’t taste like Joe’s Brooklyn Pizza then it is not NYC pizza. There was one small point, It was so good, I ended up eating 6 pieces! Now all I have to see is a picture of the Brooklyn Dodgers and I will believe I am back in a decade I was not even born in. God I love Brooklyn.

EXCELLENT pizza! NY Style thin crust is our favorite– always cooked perfectly, not stingy with the toppings, very flavorful, very large pie. Go to their website for a 10% off coupon. They are our go-to pizza place, have one every Friday

Pizza is good but very expensive compared to others. The owner never turns on the or the ac so it’s really hot in summer and freezing in the winter do you better get the pizza to go.

Walked in and walked out before eating. Restaurant smells dirty and pizza looked yuk. Rating based in first impression — Unilocal was wrong on this one.

I walked over from the Double Tree and saw this Pizza restaurant. I ordered the Medium Pepperoni. I have traveled all over the world and have eaten pizza from Rome to NYC and their pizza compares with the best. I loved every bit of it and can’t wait to return to Rochester just to try it again.

I love their pizza. Whenever I have a reason to stop in or order takeout, I do. The pepperoni NY-style thin crust is one of my favorites — thin, crispy crust and good sauce. The mini pepperonis are somehow more delicious than any other kind(it’s an anomaly). They also have a really good buffalo chicken pizza. Medium wings are also good! When my friends lived in Henrietta they’d order Joe’s for our Sunday HBO nights and we’d try their specialty pizzas. It’s a little bit more expensive than your basic pizza takeout/delivery, but it’s worth it for a special treat, which it usually is for me. Staff is really nice and pizza is always ready in the timeframe they give you. You can order online as well, which is convenient.

Great pizza. As someone who travels the US for work sometimes I just want to relax in my room. So let try local pizza places, their pizza is great and I will order from them the next time I am in town.

I came back recently and tried two slices: 1 Grandma pizza(Sicilian style) and 1 specialty pizza(Grandma style as well). Tastewise, the pizza was very good(definitely among the better pizzas I’ve tried in the area). One slice of the Sicilian pizza should be able to satiate even the biggest appetites — the pieces are ginormous. My only complaint — and this really applies to the non-Sicillian slices– is that each slice of specialty pizza costs $ 3.99. For one slice of Sicilian pizza, that’s a reasonable price. But for one slice of regular, non-Sicilian pizza, it’s pretty overpriced in my opinion.

The best pizza in Rochester for foodies. If you like fresh ingredients(not canned), loads of flavor and garlic Joes Brooklyn Pizza is for you. Joe’s prepares fresh garlic and toppings every day – I love it! If only other restaurants did the same(I’m looking at you chain restaurants). Thin crust and some thick crust for you Sicilian lovers(not me, I’m thin crust all the way). For me the real added bonus is now the beer selection. I love Naked Dove IPA on tap or in growler form. Get it if you’re adventurous or if you took RIT’s Beers of the World or Wines of the World courses. Hops, yeast, and delicious! Pizza wise the dough, cheese, and sauce are excellent as well as the garlic white pizzas. Service is always friendly and there’s tons of staff to assist you. Try the grandmas or grandpas pizzas! Or if you’re a pizza purist, the cheese is excellent. For me, cheese pizza shows if a restaurant can make amazing pizza. Greatness is from simplicity, not specialty. Less is more. And the red pepper flakes are actually spicy and tasty, not old cardboard and bland. I highly, highly recommend if you appreciate flavor, garlic, and fresh ingredients. The devil is in the details and execution. 5 stars for sure. PS Joe is awesome! THANKS!

A little on the pricy side, but the pizza is worth it. Crispy, good sauce, good choice of toppings. The old fashioned is wonderful

Interesting pizza the crust was actually quite good and the sauce had some interesting sweet tones to it. Overall the pizza was good. They should consider marketing this pizza in the frozen food section of the supermarket. I don’t mean this to be offensive I mean it to be probably a good frozen food pizza out there.

Get it to go, it’s hot as hell inside The pizza is Top Notch! I will be back. The amount on cheese to toppings was great. The crust was the right amount of crunch and soft give to the pizza. I got just a piece but… Just WOW! We’re too far for delivery but I would order it and eat it in the parking lot. Thus far this is one of the best pizza’s I’ve had since I’ve moved here. It’s in an odd place in a strip mall next to Moe’s Mexican and across from Big Lots. Give them a shot just for a piece! Cheers

This pizza is good! Quick service with a convenient location. A variety of pizzas with a multitude of toppings and ingredients to choose from. I had the barbecue chicken and buffalo chicken slices and both were ready within a minute. With a fresh taste and a crispy delicious crust I wanted to get a third slice but I just bought a bunch of new(+ 2 inches) pants and I really can’t afford to change my wardrobe again. They do offer Sicilian style pizza as well which I didn’t try but most certainly will. I read good things about the garlic knots and they looked deliciously voluptuous but I will need to come back for them as well. Great for a quick tasty bite for a decent price. I’m going back soon. Very soon. Maybe I should go now. What else do I have to do anyway. Cheese beckons.

Have stopped in here a few times to grab a slice. Despite the glowing reviews from others, I’ve never quite been blown away by the pizza. Pricing seems in line with what you might pay in Manhattan, but this is Rochester. $ 21.99 and up for a large pizza?!? Gitouttahere!

Great place! My son and I went here for a «date» and thoroughly enjoyed it. The thin-crust pizza is as good as any other pizza shop that I’ve tried in Rochester. My only qualm is that the crust was a smidge overdone — it was crispy, and not foldable(to me, the one sign that you have awesome NY-style pizza is that you can fold the crust!) but it was still delicious, and I have the feeling that our pie was just slightly overdone. We also got a dozen medium wings, and they were super, as well. Very crisp, despite a lot of sauce. They seemed more like mild to me – I might actually try the hot next time — and the sauce has a bit of sweetness to it. Not a bad thing, just different. We will definitely be back, or order takeout — even though both locations are not particularly convenient to us.

In my review of «Brooklyn Pickle» in Syracuse, I talked about the different«sizes» of boys’ equipment in NYC, and how you can stereotype the size of the boys by which borough they are from. And of course Brooklyn has the large sizes. Or used to before the hipstery thing. Well Joe is from old-school Brooklyn, No Sleep Til Brooklyn Brooklyn, Saturday Night Fever Brooklyn. No wonder this place used to be called«Joe’s Brooklyn P*n*s.» It really is that impressive people. It really, really is. However he now sells the best slices in Rochester. Better than Nino’s, better than Carmine’s, right up there with Pizza Stop. What to get: Amazing NYC style thin-crust slices, grandmas slice. What else: I’ve heavily censored this review to make it more Unilocal friendly, so stfu. Also: If anyone has issues with this review just message me and tell me which part bothers you, we can discuss, I can maybe edit. If I delete it then it’s one less 5-star review for an awesome local business, and a lot of cool peeps read my stuffs, so it’s best for it to stay. Joe was forced to change the name of the place because nobody was coming here for Pizza. Which was fine with Joe, but not with Joe’s wife nor his wallet. So he went down the«straight and narrow» which in no way whatsoever describes Joe, nor his equipment. There are two pizza places in Rochester that are utterly incredible, to the point that even if they were in Buffalo, they would be fighting to get into the top 5 slices of pizza in town. Which is a real feat of incredulity since Buffalo has insanely good pizza. Those 2 places are Pizza Stop(my fave), and Joe’s Brooklyn, which is basically every bit as good as Pizza Stop, except for one thing: they need to heat up their slices properly so they burn your mouth, like PS does and like all the NYC places do! I should also mention that Nino’s is very good and Carmine’s is amazing. I was offered a choice of pizza from all 5 boroughs: I «Chose Brooklyn Pizza.» The thin crust pizza is absolutely delicious… beyond delicious. One of the slices was properly heated and rocked my world… so wet and juicy and heavenly. The other one was a little lukewarm. You can see them in my picture. They are some of the best tasting slices not just in the 585, but in the whole state. The hype is true. Get over here and try these slices. If Harrison Ford had a brown hat and a whip and bought this pizza place, it would be «Indiana Jones Brooklyn Pizza.» The other thing I had was the Grandma Slice. That was also fantastic, and right up there with the Grandmas in NYC that I’ve had. Oh wait, you don’t want to know that I sleep with 70 year olds. Forget I said that. But places like Luigi’s(Brooklyn, 5th Ave) and Louie’s(Queens, Baxter) make amazing Grandmas, and so does Joe’s here in the 585. Who needs to go to NYC anymore? And yes I do appreciate the irony that the 2 places I recommended both have almost the same name. Not even remotely related to each other. It’s a mafia thing. If the pizza here was a joke, or it was a comedy club by night, it’d be «Jokes Brooklyn Pizza», but it’s not, so. And I’d like to thank the lovely Cece for recommending this place to me, among other people. You all steered me right and I owe you one. Actually I owe you two or three. Or if you all hang out in my bedroom sometime I can owe you seven and a half. Or if you go and check out Joe’s Broklyn P*n*s then he can owe you 12, which is really hard to find without enhancements and implants, and I’m pretty sure people from Brooklyn don’t even know what those are. They don’t call it Brokelyn for nothing. Maybe they’re Broke in Brokelyn because they spent all their money on this amazing pizza. Or on his amazing p*n*s. Or on both, simultaneously. There’s a thought.

The Pizza is SO good! We got a thin crust Medium(Is what other places consider a large pretty much) with Mozzarella, Meatballs and Ricotta. The crust was thin, crispy and the sauce was so flavorful. The garlic knots are tasty — with garlic butter and parm cheese. Not a huge fan of the cinnamon knots — too much cinnamon. Ordered online and was ready right on time. Use code Joes10 to get 10% off. The guys working were super friendly and appeared to enjoy their job — that’s always a good sign. I saw a freshly baked white pizza there and it looked so good! Definitely will be back to try that sometime!
