It’s been quite awhile since we’ve been back here and boy were we surprised. The layout changed quite a bit and a lot more color! The café seems smaller and seating area very compact. But there seems to be a lot more items for sale. The pastries are still pretty good. My kids still like the donut holes and I indulged myself with the chocolate croissant, which was good. The kids and I got boba drinks. My daughter the coconut, my son the mango slush or with mango popping boba, and I the taro with boba. My daughter and I both thought out drink were okay, but my son absolutely loved his. I tried his drink, and I have to say it was pretty good. So overall the boba is okay and probably the only game around. My wife got caramel macchiato. My wife and I were very surprised. My wife really enjoyed it, so I had to try it. I expected it to be too sweet, but nope. It was very enjoyable. The whip cream took me off guard, but other than that it was pretty good! For me the coffee was better than the boba and if I’m in the area I will always chose the coffee here over Starbucks.

Enjoyed the milk tea boba and the smoothies. The donuts are good as well. The service is extremely friendly especially the man. You can tell how very passionate he is towards his job. Definitely recommend coming here.

I come here all the time after school(5+ years)! Been here through all their owners haha, but I can say Tony and his family are the best. He always greets me nicely and was the only owner that actually remembered by face from me coming so often. When I’m not there for awhile he asks me where and how I’ve been. I usually just come for milk tea, but their sandwiches are great for a quick lunch with a friend. My usual order is hot ham and cheese on a croissant and almond milk tea. Great customer service and quality milk tea for a small & local business. Gonna miss this place if I leave home for college.

Very friendly and customer oriented. Tony always greets you with a friendly hello and quick service. All about his customers. Its almost a 1 stop shop for everything from boba tea(which is just as good or better then the boba from Pacific East Mall) all the way to donuts and sandwiches. Overall awesome place to go on a hot afternoon

This is my go to spot for boba and sandwiches. I love going here for lunch but it seems like they’ve been understaffed lately. I find myself waiting for about 10 minutes or more with 3 other customers in the shop.

I used to drive pass this place and never bothered going in, but recently gave it a try and surprisingly liked it a lot. It’s probably the only good tapioca place in Hercules, and the owner is a really nice guy! I think this place has potential to get busy really quick with some remodeling. Make it look more modernized, put some games out, wifi, etc… Either way, i’ll still be back. :)

The owner is SO nice. You know how they say negativity is contagious? Well his positivity sure is too! I’ve been here twice and he is so jolly, he just makes you in a good mood lol. But the doughnuts aren’t that good :( And how good the boba is really just depends on what flavor you get. I got the taro slush today and it really wasn’t that good. I think it needed an extra scoop of it. But I know the chocolate slush is good! :)

This place would have gotten at least 4 stars before I received the worst customer service of my life. I bought a caramel iced latte with tapioca pearls and a donut for me and a donut and a small bottle of 2% milk for my grandmother. Everything was very good, except my grandmother said the milk tasted spoiled and she couldn’t drink it. The expiration date hadn’t passed yet, so she figured a new one probably wouldn’t make a difference and she just wanted her money back. I returned to the store less than 15 minutes later to get my money back and the man behind the counter went on a rant about all the reasons I couldn’t get a refund. He was extremely defensive and nasty about it. If you don’t give refunds, that’s fine, but there is no reason to be so ugly about it. After him going on and on about responsibility and how he paid for the milk, I finally just asked«so, you’re not going to give me my money back?» And he threw his hands up and said«call the police!» Um, what? I just walked out at that point because you have to be unhinged to want to involve the police over a $ 2 bottle of milk. I don’t even live in this area, but my grandmother does and I know she nor anyone else I know will be going there again.

My wife and I crave boba often. It can be fairly hard to find a decent place in the East bay let alone most places outside of SF. We were randomly over by Home Depot and saw this place. We decided to give it a try. We had a canteloupe slushy with boba, a taro slushy with boba and a mango milk black tea over ice with boba. They were all pretty decent. The boba could use a bit more sweetness but the rest of the drinks were pretty good. I had one of their donuts and it was pretty good too. We have been several times since and the flavors have been pretty consistent. Customer service is what keeps us coming though. They are always pleasant and despite not being open one day, they still served us but we had to go for jelly instead of boba because they hadn’t made it that day(why would they, they weren’t open). Great customer service to offer us an alternative when, again, they weren’t open. When we get that craving and we don’t want to do the drive… we will be back … often

This place is under new management and I couldn’t be more happier with the new owner. The lady is super sweet and very friendly, always greeting her customers as they come in. In addition, they now accept credit cards which is a huge plus… and also sell lotto tickets!

Okay, so… I kind of take back half of what I said in my last rating. After going to the dry cleaner’s next door, I was walking to my car, saw the café, and decided, «Bah, why not. Maybe I’ll just go for a simple Thai iced tea.» With the new management, the place has gone through yet another makeover – one quite drastic enough that I seriously almost stepped back out of the café thinking«is this Creekside Café?» It may have been because it was late in the afternoon when I was there, but the place seemed darker. Counter was red, and the ceiling lights were now noticeably only on one side of the room. Well, anyway… I’m not sure if I just didn’t realize during the times was last here that there actually exists a boba menu. What more, I’m talking about the Taiwanese-style boba that comes in the film-sealed plastic cups. It may have been that last time, I ordered a slush tapioca drink instead(the menu gives options for either iced or slush)…or maybe this menu really is a new thing? Tried the Mango Milk green tea with tapioca this time. A decent $ 2.95. When the drink came, I was delighted to find it in the cup I described a second ago. Not as much milk as I was expecting, but it still suited my taste. The tapioca was… alright. I’m thinking it’s still the same as they’ve been making. The texture was a little better. A third of it ended up being stuck together as one big blob, which I fished out later with a spoon at home. Oh, well. Just for this, though, my hope for decent boba in Hercules has been restored. Still not the best, but it gets a fair regard in my book. I’ll try another drink next time and see how it goes. Still haven’t tried their donuts. Think I’ll try some next time, too. See, Creekside, I still have faith in you!

This is the closest place in my area that serves milk tea with tapioca. It’s not the best, but it’ll do. For under $ 5, I get a regular milk tea with tapioca over ice plus a dozen donut holes. Yum!

I never knew this place served boba drinks! Aside from that, there’s also coffee, donuts, sandwiches, and salads on their menu. I didn’t get to try those items as I came here strictly for the boba. The boba is pretty decent. I ordered a regular sized green tea drink without milk and tapioca balls. It was sweet but not overly sweet which I liked. The tapioca balls tasted just about the same as other places which isn’t a bad thing. Also, the size is very comparable to other boba places. For about $ 3 – 4, I was satisfied with my drink order. Be sure to bring cash though. It’s a $ 6.00 minimum for credit/debit cards. I really like this place and will be coming back soon. The lobby is clean and it’s close to other restaurants which is great when you want boba drinks after a meal. The owner is also very nice. She gave me free donut holes because the café was about to close which is always a plus!

If I’m in a mood for a good sandwich this is usually my go-to spot. The Club House sandwich is my favorite, but their other selections are good as well. Different bread such as white and whole wheat is available if you dislike the default bread the sandwich comes with. I have noticed various times that the meat can be a little skimpy, while other instances it’s just enough, so beware of that. Also a little pet peeve I have is that when I order a Club House, it is always not cut all of the way through so I have to tear the bread creating a little mess… They’re also a bit more expensive than what I would like.($ 5−6+) I’m not so much a fan of their beverages. Their boba/bubble tea is just so-so, as I’m not a fan of the artificial flavors and I dislike the chunks of ice they have in it. It’s nothing compared to other boba places like Quickley’s. They do have a selection using real fruit which I have not tried, but I plan on doing so in the future. The coffee isn’t bad. They have, I believe, 2 or 3 different self-serve coffee dispensers. The espressos are a good option if you’re not in a mood for Starbucks. I usually get a mocha, but there are times when it comes a bit too sweet and not enough of that nice coffee flavor. The service is good and prompt. Order your drinks and/or food, wait, and there you go. It’s always good when they greet you with a smile. Whenever I’m there, it’s not really filled with people so it would be a good little spot to hangout and drink boba or have a sandwich. Overall, I would give this little place 3 ½ stars(since Unilocal doesn’t allow halves and I don’t believe in giving them a 4, I’ll just leave it a 3 for now). Their sandwiches are really the ones that saves it for me and makes myself coming back.
