Came here twice for cleaning, never really needed anything done other than cleaning. First visit was good, no complaints, dentist is nice and very thorough. Office staff are helpful and nice. Nice, clean office, just need to update their X-​rays (mostly everyone is using digital X-​rays now.).
My only problem is, they sent my husband a billing statement for what our insurance company already paid for. I called the office to ask what it was for, and they claimed that they didn’t get the claim check for that date of service, they said that our insurance company sent the check to us, but we never received anything. So I called delta dental to clarify things, and they said that they already been mailed the checks to their (park lake Debra) office and check has already been cashed out.
Just really disappointed that this office is trying to charge my husband for something that the insurance already paid for.
I worked for a dental office for 7 years. I know how it works. You can’t trick me.

Not happy with their billing system.

My experience with this office several years ago but the experience irks me to this day so i decided to write a review.
I had an excruciating pain from the tooth i had root canal and crown done years ago. I went to this office and one of the doc told me I have an infection so prescribed me an antibiotics and told me should have another root canal done. They referred me to one of the Endodontist. I had to find another Endodontist because he was not in my insurance network or i would have had to pay out of pocket. I went to the one in my network and had second root canal done. I went to back to this office to get my crown fitted and told them i still have the pain. They told me Ill have to wait couple of days for the place to heal. After couple of days, still pain to the core! They could not figure out why Im having the pain. After three weeks pain and hundreds of pain killer pills, I decided to go to the Endodontist they referred me to. The Endo doc told me i have infection deep in the gum and need to be extracted but in the mean time he prescribed me strong penicillin. After the first dose of penicillin, was like night and day. No pain after three excruciating weeks! I still have my own tooth to this day.
The bottom line is, I didnt have infection with my root canal but it was a gum infection. If this office prescribed me the same antibiotics Endo doc did from the beginning, I probably didnt have to go through the pain and unnecessary treatment with over $ 1000 cash out of my pocket!

I could not be happier with Dr. Carpio and her staff! I have been a patient for over 10 years now. When my boys were toddlers, I had both of them watch me sit in the dental chair and then we’d place them in the chair and Dr. Carpio would take a quick look in their mouths to get them comfortable with a little exam. They got into their own chairs with no problem shortly after that visit and we have had great cleanings, etc. over the years. The staff and Dr. Capio have always made the boys and me feel very comfortable but have wielded that tough dental whip they are supposed to. Park Lake Dental keeps late hours which is helpful and I think they ran 15 minutes late for ONE appointment I had over the last 10 years!!! The office works well with the boys’ orthodontist office and will call on my behalf to help me fully understand their ortho needs.
