When I walked through the front door I was greeted with a smile and a hello from one person behind the counter and then waited on by someone else. This is a small restaurant and it was late, I was surprised that there were two people behind the counter. The menu, an assortment of sandwiches, is the same as every other Subway. I wanted the small spicy Italian; it is a nice blend blend of pepperoni and salami, topped with cheese. With mayo, chipotle sauce, tomatoes, olives, and pickles it is a fattening treat. This would normally not be a problem; however, I did not want it heated. This sandwich was going in a cooler for lunch for the next couple of days. The young woman who was making this sandwich insisted that it must be heated. I insisted that it not be heated. She stood firm – we were at an impasse. A comprise was reached, she heated the sandwich with just the meat on it and put the goodies on it when it came out of the microwave. The sandwich went in to the cooler, and I ate it the over the two next days.

Subway is a good place and decent. I went there a lot. However, this time, I went to the subway in Hercules, and was not impressed. I asked for some cookies, she SEEMED nice, but also gave me a dirty look. We were suppose to get 6 cookies but got only 4. Is she so fat and Indian that she could not afford to buy her own, and took 2 out of our 6? When we were about to leave, she told us to come back and charged us $ 1.50 for just putting avocado in our sandwich? Really??? Shouldn’t she check that error before we leave? You are going to tell us to come back?!! This Indian lady has no customer service, and makes this subway bad. I won’t be coming back here! Bye Subway!!! Honest Review! –Poison Ivy

Bad customer service, to start there’s only 1 person working at lunch time(most of the time) and she’s rude-she expects you to say thank you or she’ll make sure you thank her by repeating«you’re welcome as many times as she can while you’re walking out the door. she’s slow, I think she’s disabled because she can bearly walk so why is she working by herself right? Line is always out the door and sandwiches are made so sloppy all the time at first I thought it was just because I get flat bread but no its all breads! Wouldn’t come here if your on a tight time frame aka for a 30min lunch because they take up to 30 mins to get the line down to a decent amount of people.

Terrible customer service. Maybe the lady making sandwiches is the owner, and in that case, I will apologize to you on here: Sorry I asked for a cup of ice. I did not mean to con your restaurant $ 0.02 for a cup and $ 0.001 for frozen water molecules. Sorry you felt the need to say«thank you» twice, loudly and rudely as I walked out, as if to make me feel guilty about asking for a cup of ice. I dont feel guilty at all, and if you had any sort of decency, you wouldnt feel the need to guilt trip a stranger about losing two cents in your daily revenue. Think of it as a favor, you help somebody out, it puts a smile on your face, your smiling face helps you get a tip from the next customer. Instead, you choose to wallow in negativity, here we are 20 minutes after that fateful exchange, and you’re probably still seething about that cup. And that melted ice. No tip for you, you go home angry and spank your children. They grow up to hate you. You die old and alone in a nursing home. Its not too late to rewrite your future. Moral of the review: its 2 cents, let it go ya cheap beyotch

I love this subway. They always have all the bread options available. All the meats and veggies are fresh and taste good. They don’t mind giving you extra veggies if you ask(I had another Subway give me a lot of attitude asking for extra olives). This subway is a family run business and all the family members are super friendly and welcoming. I go out of my way to spend my money at this subway.

Big pastrami melt… more like big pastrami disappointment… this sandwich is horrible… pastrami is flavorless and non existent… the only saving grace is the bread I ordered it on… almost $ 9 dollars for this sandwich… wit the lack of variety(sandwich joints) in da area starvation may be yo only option

This is my favorite Subway to come to. The lady that runs the place knows me very well. Is always so happy to see me walk in and is super appreciative of my business. I like this location because she knows how to make a good sandwich. They aren’t skimpy on the toppings. When I’m too tired after work and going to the gym and don’t feel like cooking. I gladly come here to maintain a healthy dinner. So that I don’t go to sleep famished because I don’t want to cook. Subway is my lifesaver!

Let me start off by saying the sandwich makers need to develop better language skills. They need to listen to what the customer is saying, not be talk to the other ladies about things that doesn’t matter at the time, my sandwich needs the attention. Ok, besides my ranting! Important Observation… The most important thing that the customer should know about this place is that, they are cross contaminating. The vegetarian sandwiches have meat residue on them, because the sandwich makers use the same knife on the meat and the vegan sandwiches. Plus they don’t change their gloves when making different sandwiches or handling meat supplies from the backroom. Example, Lady went to the back and grabbed a bag of roast beef, cut it open with the her knife(with the meat juices running all over the place) and used her same gloves to make a sandwich for a lady in front of me.

Owners seem cheap and/or lazy. Bathroom is out of order most of the time. Soda usually has almost no syrup.

I have only been to this location a few times, but based off of those few visits I would say this location is just okay. It is a fairly small subway with limited indoor seating. Each time I have come in it is the same two people working(a mother and son, I think). Neither of them greeted or even smiled at me when I walked in. When I was being helped by the woman she didn’t seem at all happy to be and there and just kind of three the ingredients on there like she didn’t care at all about mess. Also, it seemed to me like the prices here are a tad more than other Subways I have been to. If I was to base the rating just on customer service I would have only given 2 stars, but because the food was good(on average) I am giving it 3 stars.

Listen, when I say I don’t want a bag for my sandwich, I really do mean I DON’T WANT A BAGFORMYSANDWICH. I am not sure if it was the language barrier or what, but it seemed to be nothing but communication problems in this place. From what I wanted/did not want on my sandwich to not wanting a bag and having the lady fight with me about«must have a bag», it was too much of a headache to eat here. I’ll go somewhere else next time. Plus, all Subways taste the same — like prepacked frozen meals.

I really like this place. The service is great. The food is always fresh, and the sandwiches are tasty. I have to take one star away because nearly every time I come here the Dr. Pepper is out of syrup. Gotta have my Dr. Pepper!

Whenever I want to «Eat Fresh», I come to this Subway. There are 3 subways literally within a 3 mile radius from my house. Why? Because Subway does not enforce franchise rules that limit the number of shops that can exist in each place. Aside from a lesson in business, I want to tell you that this Subway is consistent, and always serve you with a smile. It is family owned and operated, and they won’t take too much of your time. So before hopping on Bart, take the Subway!

This is the best Subway in the area. I have been taking my son here since he was little, and the lady here always hooks him up with a fresh cookie. As long as the staff here stays the same, I will come to this Subway until the day I die. Very clean, the sandwich-artists know what they are doing, and are very friendly. Best Subway in the Bay Area!

This Subway is THEWORST! The same two people had been working the counter the 2 times that I have dared go in for lunch and they are both EXTREMELY rude. The second time I went in a customer behind me politely asked the jerk behind the counter how much a certain sandwich was because he could not see very well. The jerk behind the counter rattled something off that he could not understand(I couldn’t either) so he was asked to repeat it at which point the jerk behind the counter got pissed off and walked away. I ended up helping the poor guy out with the menu! Which brings me to the next point… This location has jacked up the prices compared to others nearby. If you enjoy the atmosphere of the soup nazi restaurant in that Seinfeld episode and would like to pay double for it… then by all means stop in!

Used to be a very regular customer here until I stopped eating gluten. I would go here for a salad, but i’m not fond of the dressings. I frequently crave and turkey, roast beef or toasted italian BMT sub!

This is truly the BEST Subway location. The family who owns this restaurant also owns two other Subway locations; one in Rodeo and one in Richmond. The owner is often found at the location In Rodeo now that the Hercules location is well established. The staff at this location really know what they’re doing and the main employee behind the counter is welcoming and generous. She always remembers frequent customers and has a good attitude about preparing sandwiches(day after day after day…). I would definitely recommend this location to anyone in the area. Please note that the restaurant can be very busy during lunch time but the same staff members help with the lunch crowd and have a good system down for efficiently preparing sandwiches.
