Fat Cat’s Fish Fry

I came here with my boyfriend and it is one of the best places that serves ice cream. Not only that they serve ice cream but it’s also a seafood restaurant! My boyfriend loves seafood and I love love love ice cream so it’s perfect for us! I got the Cotten candy soft serve and it tastes amazing. The regular Cotten Cotten (hard icecream) tastes EXACTLY like Cotten candy though. Deff worth a try

If you want fish or ice cream it doesn’t get any better than this. Their Haddock dinners are the best. Huge order of fish, creamy cole slaw and a nice huge order of crispy french fries. Their ice cream is huge. The chocolate is to die for. We just love going there. The staff is fast and friendly. The only drawback is that they are 65 miles from me but we make it a practice to go there every other week for lunch of desert during motorcycle season. It’s well worth the ride and you will not be disappointed. Their prices are affordable so you can bring the whole family. Can’t wait till the weather gets warmer so we can ride to there.

I love Fat Cats. I got my husband and my son a fish fry dinner and my husband said it was the best he has ever had. The coating on the fish was light and crispy and the fish was juicy and moist. Their homemade clam chowder is to die for. It is the best I have ever had. I can’t wait for the season to get colder just so I can have it. Their clam dinner is great too. I just wish they would make their own fired clams instead of getting frozen ones. There was some nice size clams but I had a lot of small ones. Wish there was a little more clams that came with the dinner. The prices are extremely reasonable there. The portions are awesome too. On Fridays there is standing room only. There were people parking on the streets and in the old Pondarosa parking lot. I highly recommend going trying if you haven’t tired before just wish there were bigger clam strips

I’ve heard nothing but good reviews about this place for some time now. Large portion sizes and great prices.
All I can say is wow! Delicious! Prices are very very fair and the food was phenomenal.
Cooked perfectly and the food was brought right out of the kitchen. The fryer oil was very fresh and there wasn’t a «fish taste» mixed in with the French fries or different foods which leads me to believe foods are prepared separately or in specific fryers Over ordered but have leftovers for dinner now. You won’t leave hungry that’s for sure. Great atmosphere and very clean on the inside. Wait staff was top notch and atmosphere is child friendly.
I would consider this better seafood then some restaurants I have been to in mystic Connecticut based off a great price for seafood, atmosphere, positive attitude of employees and more so the quality of the food.
I will surely be returning to this establishment very soon.
