The food here is quite good especially for the price. I’ve been 10+ times in my life(I live 3,000 miles away). The ‘Cajun Chicken Sandwich’ is 5 stars! The veal is really good too. The pasta is not my favorite because it is overcooked and not ‘Al Denti’ which is how I prefer. It is an extremely low-key pub but ‘homey’ and good for families.

Highly recommend! Hopefully will be back tomorrow night before leaving town!!!

My family and I made reservations here for my cousin’s birthday. 15 of us and two small children were seated in a quiet room in the back. The waitress barely acknowledged us, I had to go to the bar to get my own drink as she didn’t offer. At the bar, a customer verbally attacked me and then accused me of being«sensitive» when I firmly told him he was inappropriate. The bartender(s) and waitresses heard and watched and seemed to be disturbed but did nothing. When the waitress finally waited on us, she was rude, unfriendly, appeared annoyed by us ordering our meals(pretty sure, a waitress is supposed to take orders?). Our family is friendly and have all worked in the restaurant business and when we tried to engage her in conversation or would joke with her, she ignored us or stared blankly as if being bothered. The entire night continued like this. She didn’t know about the food on the menu and was clearly irritated with us — and maybe with life, in general. The only time she acted differently is at the end of the night when we were paying our bill and my aunt mentioned the owner by name and how long she’d known him, etc. Then, she wanted to have all kinds of conversations with us. I offered two stars, because despite the terrible service, the food was very good for the price.

Hell, if you’re looking for the Waldorf then go there — if you’re looking for good food at a fair price and delightful people then go here. You’ll love it…

Had dinner there last night with other family members and everyone enjoyed their meals. I ordered the NY Strip Steak medium rare and it was gray in the center. I manned up and ate it without saying a word. I get very annoyed when I have a problem with an order but I seldom send it back for fear of ruining the dining experience of the rest of the party. Anyway, if I did the rest of the party would be half way through their meals by the time I got my replacement.

This place doesn’t look like much(especially from the outside) but the food is good. Located on a side street in a residential area of Herkimer, it’s clear that it(very recently) used to be a house. It looks like the front door hasn’t even been replaced! The inside is slightly nicer. The bar area is cozy and the dining area is serviceable. When I ate here recently I was seated at a table right outside the door to the kitchen, which was a bit annoying, but it ended up being okay. It seems like they’re aiming for a «fine dining» atmosphere but it still feels a little divey. It’s more of a bar that serves food than a restaurant with a bar(if that makes sense). I will say that the food is quality. What PK’s lacks in atmosphere they make up for in flavor. I recently had the chicken riggies(a regional speciality: diced chicken, rigatoni and peppers in a tomato cream sauce) and they were delicious! The food was hot, cooked well and nicely seasoned. Their parmesan cheese is a little cheap(it looks like the pre-shredded DiGiorno cheese that comes in a tub at the grocery store). Other than that, I was satisfied with my meal. Dinner entrees come with a salad and bread, both of which were unremarkable. Our server was friendly, attentive, and professional. It’s not perfect, but it’s a decent option if you’re looking to get dinner in Little Falls, especially considering that dining options there are limited. If you’re looking for something more atmospheric, you may want to head further to the New Hartford/Utica area.

We wanted the local Italian classics without driving into Utica and PK’s Pub did not disappoint. The spicy Utica Greens and Chicken Riggies were delicious. The pork shank was huge and fall off the bone tender. Server was scattered and stressed on a busy Friday night, but the vibe is welcoming and clearly the locals love it.

My companion and I ate here during a weekend in Herkimer. He had the Chicken Capicola which he enjoyed and I asked for a pasta with marinara sauce explaining that I cannot have dairy or meat. My meal came with shredded cheese on top and had to be returned to the kitchen. The server didn’t gripe about having to do this but it still was a nuisance. Perhaps if I was an omnivore I would have a different review but all in all, my meal was nothing special. They do have a great beer selection and the atmosphere is very nice. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decoration and design and it’s a very pleasant ambiance.

Amazing greens! The special are always delicious. Best kept secret around. A must place to stop for eats! On street parking is only reason not 5 stars.

by its location you wouldn’t be sure(kind of run down neighborhood) and park, where you can, on the street. BUT, once inside you are going to be happy… guaranteed. sat at bar… Pete bartender(probably owner) very efficient and friendly… good selection of bottled beer. no draft… and full bar. had veal picatta and it was very good. i would definitely recommend! happy trails

Went to a meeting and was asked if I had tried«the greens» in upstate NY. Having no idea what they were, I said«no, where can I try the best around»? I was quickly told«PK’s». I went there and had the steak and greens wrap. It was surprisingly good, albeit very salty. My friend had a steak sandwich, and he really liked it. The greens has 2 kinds of pepper, onions(I believe) and breadcrumbs, all mixed in together. PK’s also has a pretty cool looking vintage bar.
