I’d never go here if work didn’t send me to get supplies. The cashier lines and especially UPS/copy center lines are always very slow. They’ll have one person doing all the copy center stuff and packaging stuff so if you’re like I usually am and get stuck behind some person who has no clue how to use a copier, expect to be there awhile. Prices are more expensive here than many places(no surprise there, really). A lot of their deals will be rebate deals so be careful when you read sales signs. Some of the people who work here are just… strange. Like I’ve just had people stand beside me and watch me shop. I don’t know if they think I’m trying to steal or what, but it’s uncomfortable. I don’t need someone to try to make bad small talk with me while I shop.

I just wanted to quickly share an experience I recently had at the Staples in Hermitage, TN. I came in with a chair still in a box that my wife had ordered online because I wanted to try sitting in it to make sure I liked it before I got it out of the box. They didn’t have that particular chair, so the manager, Joni Wood, said they would gladly refund my money, and that I could go back and pick out a different chair. Another employee walked to the back with me and showed me different chairs, none of which were a perfect fit. Then she found one in the very back of the store that I really loved, and it was marked at about the same price my wife had paid for the one she bought online. Well, once she got the box down for a new box from up above, I looked at the picture on the box, and it didn’t match the chair I had picked out. After she looked carefully at the tag, she found that the price listed on the chair was not the correct price, and that the chair I liked was actually a higher price. She contacted the manager over her radio, and she told me that she would need to check to make sure, but would get back with me as soon as possible. Well, long story short, it has been less than a week, and I am sitting in my brand new chair. Joni Wood had the chair built and ready for me when I walked in, and only charged me the price that was listed on the ticket.
This kind of customer service is lacking in so many stores nowadays, and I really appreciated the fact that Staples was willing to stand behind a price that was mismarked, not blaming their employees for the mix-up, but just doing whatever it took to keep their customers satisfied. For this reason, I’ll be returning to Staples, and I may even buy another of the same type of chair for the actual price. Thanks, Staples, for doing what it takes to keep customers, and for hiring people like Ms. Wood who understand how to keep customers coming back again and again.

Found their information at MyStore411 online Info stated they were open till 9PM on Fridays Drove 12 miles to get a product that only Staples carried locally only to find them closing up at 8:27PM 3 employees were in the process of locking up but none of them even offered to get the one product to me, even after hearing my story Drove 12(24 total) miles home with no product Boo Shame on you Staples
