Good service and good food. However, when we used Unilocal to check-in, it offered us a 10% coupon. When we tried to use the coupon, they said they don’t accept it. Wasn’t too happy with the fact that they did not honor a coupon on their Unilocal page.

So if someone takes an old ID with the SAMEDATEOFBIRTH, they can’t get in? This is the case according to the asshat bouncer, who deducted from his continuation school-educated mind that my fiancé couldn’t get in. Mind you, this was at 1 am on a saturday, with a CAPACITYCROWDOF A WHOPPINGTENPEOPLE, and Chad or whatever the hell his name is wouldn’t cut us a break, one hour before closing. UPDATE: Upon reading other users’ reviews, I have every reason to believe that this incident was racially charged. It seemed like the doorman looked at the ID, saw a Spanish last name, and used the validity(or lack thereof) of the ID to not allow us entry.

My husband and I were touring an out of town friend around the Manhattan/Hermosa area. We had walked by Hennessey’s in the past and we were intrigued to try it for two reasons: 1. The location is GREAT and right on the ocean. 2. This Irish girl likes to check out Irish-themed Pubs. We arrived around 2 pm and managed to get seats on the top floor. We had a wonderful view of the Hermosa Beach Christmas tree, the Pacific and the beautiful beach! We eyed up the brunch menu, but we were unfortunately too late to order off of it. The brunch choices do look great and we intend to come back to try it. We ended up ordering sandwiches and burgers. Our food was tasty. The waitress was great and very expedient with refills. This would be a wonderful place for tourists to check out as it’s nice to dine by the beach on vacation.

I wish i could give this place ZERO stars but apparently the app wont let me. The door man wouldn’t let my friend and I into the establishment b/c we are black. Well she’s half black, im ¾ black but this guy said we couldnt come in. We were previously inside dancing to the DJs sweet tunes probably 35 min before yet when we came back we encountered a racists doorman who wouldnt let us in. A white chick who claimed to have been in before got let in but we were not even though we were previously inside the establishment. Ive NEVER been racially profiled but im gonna blast on every social media outlet available how mistreated me & my friend were on Thanksgiving weekend & i hope that doorman is fired because racism is completely unacceptable. Its 2015!

Went there late on a Saturday night. It was really loud inside so we decided to sit outside. Plenty of tables outside and hardly anyone using them. The heat lamps and a light jacket were just fine for keeping warm. Too cold though if you weren’t sitting directly under the lamp. The server was very friendly and efficient. They are right on the corner of an outdoor mall, closest one to the beach. During the day, the view and ambiance must be fantastic on their upper deck.

The view is outstanding especially at sunset and the reason for the extra star. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about the food or the service. The waitress said she was taking 5 and never came back except to bring the bill when we were finished. That is a long smoke break. I failed to recognize that they are a small chain in CA and LAS. The calamari app was the best of the night. Seasoned nicely but slightly overcooked, making them chewy but not to the point of squid jerky. They could take a few lessons on their«Famous Fries». We tried both the Parmesan garlic and the truffle. The parm garlic do not compare to Gordon Biersch and the truffle could have benefited from a better quality truffle oil. I was extremely underwhelmed by the fish and we already discussed the chips. The fish breading was flavorless and soggy. The«homemade» tartar was just plain off and weird. For two beers, one root beer, two orders of fish and chips, one other entrée and the calamari, we were just a tad over $ 80. I would skip this in the future.

The best thing by far here is the location and the view. We ate our dinner on the second floor and had a wonderful view of the ocean. Also, the staff was awesome. Very nice and gave great service. The food was very disappointing. I had the Ruben and have to admit that I have had much better at worse places. Also, the fries were undercooked leaving them less than the crispy fries that most would prefer. Honestly, the only reason I would come back is for the view and the service. Maybe I’ll just go and have a few drinks with some good people. Now that just may give this place four and a half stars.
