My favorite go to spot I’m always picking up 3 – 5 rolls to go! Oishi roll, philly, hungry, Vegas, rainbow that’s my jam and the rolls are HUGE! So so soooo GGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

This is our new go to place for local sushi. The service is great and we never have to wait too long for service or the food to arrive. They are extremely generous with their portions. We like to get 2 orders of salmon sushi and they’ll add a side of sashimi on the plate. The rolls are also on the larger side and they are never stingy with the meat. The Fuji Roll and Lobster Rolls are currently our favorites. For the rolls with the sauce and the fried fish biscuits they do tend to lay it on very heavy.(We got a snowcone roll that was very wet) So if you’re not in to that make sure to ask them to go light on the sauces. Overall I’m extremely happy with the proportions and prices. We will be coming back a lot!

We just moved to the South Bay recently so we have to find all new«faves». Drove by this place and checked out the Unilocal reviews and decided to give it a shot. The service was good, place was clean, parking kinda limited. The sushi was good. Not great, just good. I would return here but I do not think this will be our go to. The search continues.

This is a solid 4 star place across the board. The service is friendly yet straight to the point, the sushi is fresh and the prices are reasonable. Obviously this place is not Matsuhisa but for a quaint little whole in the wall– this place is remarkable. My boyfriend and I eat here fairly often and we’ve never been disappointed!

400th review for Oki Doki! This is my go-to GNO sushi spot with my friend when I am in the area. The service here is good, they give a tempura white fish to start and edamame. The sushi is definitely covered in sauce but the fish seem fresh & it’s all delicious when this is what you want. We return because it’s reasonably priced and we always leave satisfied. I recommend the rainbow roll and lobster rolls, those are always our tables whenever we visit. Beware of the parking situation though, it’s a tight lot and you have to be there at the«right time» to find a good spot or you’ll be circling for a bit. Oki Doki, you’re okie dokie in my book!

Hmm, not impressed with this establishment. My sushi roll arrived soggy and not so flavorful.

Love the sashimi salad, salmon hand rolls and just about any speciality roll. We order from here at least once a month usually take out.

My sushi sure tasted good with all those flies on it. There are less flies in the waste baskets at the dog park than there are at this joint. Seriously, don’t eat here and definitely don’t bring a date here unless you picked her up from the trailer park.

The BEST sushi joint in the south bay imho. If you’re looking for ambiance, this is probably not the place since it’s in a strip mall and the inside is pretty plain. If you’re looking for kick-ass sushi, great prices, terrific selection, and awesome specialty rolls, this is where you should come. I love the Superman roll and Oiishi roll best, but I’ve never had a single thing I didn’t like. The staff makes you feel welcome– very friendly and when they offer you free edamame and a free fried fish appetizer before you even order, you know they’re not out to nickel and dime you. My boyfriend and I are pretty much disappointed whenever we eat sushi someplace else now. Oki Doki has truly ruined us for other sushi places. :)

I think this place is aimed at the person who prefers rolls over nigiri or sashimi. It’s not bad but I wouldn’t recommend it to the critical sushi lover. If you are craving plays off the California rolls and Spicy Tuna Rolls then it’s not a bad option. That just isnt really my thing. The prices are reasonable. The service is friendly and attentive.

I came here on a Friday night for dinner around 7 and was surprised at how empty the place was! I thought I’d have to wait for a table considering the number of pretty good reviews this place has received. I’ve been itching to try this place for over a year now since i quite literally live right across the street. They start you off with an a free appetizer of fried fish with some sort of sauce on top. It was tasty but a little overcooked. We then ordered a couple of rolls and sashimi combo B. The rolls were pretty standard and tasted quite good. But the sashimi was very disappointing. It was still partly frozen when we were eating it. I had to put one on my plate and thaw it out before i could bite into it. Needless to say, I was not impressed. If I have a craving for sushi I might come back here and get the rolls since I live so close to this place, but I will definitely be staying away from the sashimi. I was disappointed!

I recently had the pleasure of a return visit to this fine sushi restaurant. I get out to the LA area quite often, and always try to make a point of stopping by. I’m a bit of a purist and tend to stick to the Nigiri rather then any of the elaborate rolls. Both the fish and the rice used are very high quality and the sushi is expertly constructed with a good fish to rice ratio. The prices here are quite reasonable, certainly much cheaper than what I have to pay on the East coast! The staff here — both those behind the sushi bar and the wait staff are friendly and welcoming. Don’t be put off by the modest location in an unassuming shopping strip on the PCH. Also be aware that there is very limited parking available(just a few spaces).

From the minute I walked in everyone was super friendly. We sat down and were greeted by complimentary edamame and cucumbers. Service was very attentive and I loved the hamachi. All the sushi I ate tasted fresh… Except for the shrimp. Because service was so good and all the sushi I ate was pretty fresh, I’m going to come back.

Oki Doki? Okey dokey! I have finally found a place that serves fresh sushi at a reasonable price. Ranging from $ 13.99 to $ 19.99, you can get a sushi combination(ranging from 5 pieces of chef’s choice and some CA/tuna rolls to 10 pieces and some CA/tuna/crunch rolls). Both times, I got the Harbor combo, and was impressed by the quality and variety of the sushi(tuna, salmon, shrimp, etc). The CA rolls that I selected along with the combo were good – it’s hard to mess up something so basic, methinks. While the sushi is good, the miso soup needs a bit of work… It’s saltier and more powdery than other miso soups, but I do like the amount of seaweed and tofu that goes into it. Also, both times I visited, we were provided not only complimentary edamame, but also complimentary samples(I think some sort of fried chicken on both occasions), which highlights the great customer service. Similarly, the staff is always friendly and attentive. Overall, a decent place for more-than-decent sushi at a surprisingly decent price!

Ordered a Ichiban roll for togo on the way driving home. It was alright but just average. Spicy tuna ibside of the roll was kinda waterly and it seemed the knife should be sharpened for better cutting.

I don’t get the reasoning behind all these 5 star and 300+ reviews. Their sashimi is awful. Tasted chewy and poor quality. There must be a lack of high quality sushi restaurants in the South Bay for people to think Oki Doki serves amazing sushi! BLECH. 3 stars for their service though. Despite being incredibly busy on a weeknight and managing with 2 servers, they weren’t hard to get a hold of and worked quickly.

Oki Doki Sushi is in a small strip mall with 7 – 11 and Fat Tomato. It gets busy. There’s a wait list inside. You write your name and wait inside or outside. It also has to-go service. Service was good. We received complimentary edamame and appetizer. But the service declined after we received our food. It’s understandable. There were three ladies who were juggling multiple tables. The food was okay.

Loved this place!!! Great staff(ok a bit overwhelmed) and great prices. Best in the South Bay! We had the in and out and crunchy rolls! Both epic! Also had the sashimi plate and toro. Fresh and perfect. Parking is free and so is the bathroom! lol! This is the new spot.

Oki Doki is a little hole in the wall kind of place and very popular by locals. Not very big, but great sushi and great service. Yes it is small, so you may need to wait but it should not be long. You will notice many locals call in orders and take it to go– another testament of how yummy it is. I just love the relaxed beach feel, great food and friendly environment this hidden gem provides. Last time I visited Oki Doki, we sat the sushi bar and were immediately served with waters and edamame, they also serve complimentary appetizer which is fried tempura albacore which is so delicious. The sashimi is VERY fresh and every roll is tasty and sashimi salad here is my favorite. Parking is tight but I usually don’t have any problem with finding a spot to park.
