Studio Tilee

I’ve tried several hair stylists in the South Bay and I can’t express how happy I am to have found Tiffany. I have never left a salon feeling so beautiful and satisfied with the results. Tiffany is truly amazing at what she does. With as many stylists as I’ve tried… I’d go as far to say that Tiffany at Studio Tilee is the best hair stylist in the South Bay.
Booking the appointment was on-​line and super easy-​peasy. Plus I was sent a confirmation upon booking and reminder the day before my appointment. Perfect for a busy working mama like myself that forgets anything that isn’t set as a reminder on my phone.
Now for the appointment, I have long (low-​back length) hair and went in unhappy with my dried out ombré color. I knew I wanted a change but really didn’t have a style in mind. I even went as far as suggesting chopping it all off. Thankfully, Tiffany talked me out of such a drastic cut and got me talking about what I really wanted. She took what I had to say and showed me a few photos. We agreed on a look and she went to work and did her magic. After a cut, all over color, and balayage highlights around the frame of my face she made this mama feel beautiful and like a new woman.
As for her space, shes located in suite 32 within Salon Republic which is apparently the new work space for beauty professionals. I love love love the privacy her space offers. She offers a variety of beverages so you really feel pampered and she’s super easy to talk to. After chatting her up I discovered that she has a YouTube channel with makeup tutorials and advice. Definitely check her out!

I’m a professional stand-​up comedian, and it’s important for me to look good on stage. And for the longest time, I was going to places like Floyd’s to get a cool, men’s cut. You know, because it looks like a place where one could get a cool, men’s cut, with the rock posters on the wall and the hairstylists looking like Green Day. But I was always disappointed. The haircuts were always inconsistent as well as the talent and skills of their hairstylists. I had to look elsewhere. Thank goodness I found Tiffany.
She is hands down the best hairstylist I’ve had in LA. I don’t even trust anyone else with my hair anymore. I even drive all the way from Glendale to Hermosa to get it cut by Tiffany. AND I’M A DUDE! GUYS AREN’T SUPPOSED TO DO THAT. BUT I DO THAT! Because she knows what she’s doing. And it’s always amazing. Now if only she would laugh at my jokes…
Seriously, if you care about your hair, you want someone who does as well. Tiffany is the real deal. You won’t regret it.
P. S. She also gives you wine. The only thing Floyd’s ever had to drink was Barbicide.

I specifically extended my layover in LA to be able to visit Tiffany at her new salon! My hair had reached new nappy lengths and… a level of crunchiness.
Since I have limited imagination when it comes to style, Tiffany showed me several cut/​color options AS WELL AS remaining within my level of daily maintenance (my laziness is very important to me). Decided on bayalage between darker and beige highlights. Also impulsively stated that I wanted to chop off my hair to below my ears… she promised the dead ends would go but suggested keeping my hair long (she knew I’d cry if I actually cut it short.)
Tiffany really takes her time to get to know her clients and individualizes everything to fit our preferences, while also keeping in mind the long game (deciding on a treatment that will do the least amount of damage to each person’s hair and styling the hair so we can remain dignified in between cuts). I’ve uh, «colored» my own hair before and know how important it is to understand what it can and canNOT handle… sigh. Luckily I have a pro to help me now :)
When you park in the garage, make sure to exit to the retail space on the 5^th floor at the top of the escalator bank. You cannot enter it via any other floor, and I felt like a fool running around each floor, looking for the outside. Free parking though ;)

I was recommended by a friend to check out Studio Tilee. I have heard through several friends that Tiffany does amazing work. I did my homework before I made the appointment. I checked out her YouTube channel, blog & social links and realized she is definitely a beauty expert! I made the trek from Orange County to her space inside Salon Republic. Studio Tilee was clean and modern. I got a haircut and balayage highlights. The products she used on my hair were fantastic. My hair felt really soft and shiny. She even gave me a bunch of styling tips for my hair and skincare & makeup advice for my face. I received many compliments on my new hair ~!
I’m so glad I found a new go-​to stylist. Tiffany was friendly and extremely helpful in deciding what would be the best look for my face. She does it all! Highly recommended~!~!

I’ve never been this satisfied with my hair! I recently went from having long dark brown hair to a blonde balayage ombré bob all with Tiffany’s help. She is truly a master at what she does and I can’t recommend her enough. Even with a 3 month old baby I made a 2 hour drive from my home to get an appointment with her at the Hermosa Beach location and it’s so worth it. She is also the kindest person to talk to to and be around. Really can’t wait for my next hair appointment with her.

I have been getting my hair cut by Tiffany for close to 10 years now. I’ve tried other stylists but she has been the only one that I fully trust with my hair. Unfortunately for us Texans, she moved out to California (check out her reviews on Unilocal for Studio Tilee in Austin, TX). When I was in LA recently, I was able to get my much needed Tiffany fix. I have long thick Asian hair with wavey texture. She knows how to cut it just right so that it grows out nicely in between cuts.
