Do not go here its disgusting, cockroaches all around the place, we came back to get our money back because we made a order and one came inside the food and while we were talking with the cashier to get a refund, we saw cockroaches waking on the counter and in the brown bags. We pointed it out to the lady and they continued to pack hot sauce in the same spot. Really disgusting!

My husband and I tried China King because we were in the mood for Chinese and it was close to our home. But we will never eat here again! The food was not appetizing at all. I ordered pork lo-mein. Which it’s pretty hard to mess that up considering it’s pretty much just noodles, however, I received beef instead of pork. My husband ordered sesame chicken. Also another easy dish. Most sesame chicken that I’ve ever seen is coated in a light brown sauce. This chicken had a weirdly dark red sauce on it. It smelled and tasted super weird. The chicken was overly fried that it was pretty tough all the way through the pieces. I also ordered wontons, which I don’t even think they put anything in the middle… It was just fried piece of wonton wrap. My husband got a egg roll, it tasted like they fried it in straight butter. It was weird. All round, not worth the $ 22 we paid.

I Love the King. People from our office frequent this place pretty often. Based on Value alone its a 5. You get a ton of food for cheap. Lunch specials come with a legit egg roll… not those little cheap spring rolls places try to use. I always go with the chicken and broccoli. Delicious. If you like spicy food make sure you ask for a small container of hot sauce. Drinks are either water or a fountain drink. They fill your soda and give it to you which Im not a fan of, as I like to control my soda to ice ratio lol. Dining area is large but nothing fancy. Definitely reccomend. The tsos is really good here too.

The quality of the food seemed a little off to me but it didn’t get me sick so that’s a plus. Even though their sesame chicken wasn’t as dark as I would have hoped(had a little red tint in it) it still wasn’t as bright red as some other locations. Also you get a hefty amount of food for your buck so if you want some take-out to last you a few days, go here.

Fast, decent, very friendly customer service. Always courtesy on the phone, and ready within 10 minutes of pickup. Good sized portions, and they are able to make dishes spicy or not, and customize if you ask.

Look guys-its China King, not gourmet chinese, so what are you expecting? You don’t come here for ambiance or an authentic chinese meal. But if you want fairly decent fast food chinese food, super fast, decent portion and at a reasonably cheap price– this place is good for getting a quick to-go meal. I got two meals worth out of my order easily. Wonton soup + Triple delight which was mixed vegetables with bbq roast pork, chicken, and shrimp. I liked it well enough and didnt expect much from this place so it was actually better than expected. The bbq roast pork tasted the best of the three proteins, I would definitely go for that again.

This is not good Chinese food. I ordered the steamed shrimp and veggies and veggie fried rice. The shrimp that are typically huge jumbo shrimp at other restaurants(same dish) are tiny baby shrimp that are not deveined. Fried rice is tasteless. Also, there is a ton of celery in my fried rice?! Just gross.

For $ 7.15 the General Tsao checking is a real deal. Good and filling no complaints. I asked for extra spicy and that is exactly what I got. Quick, waited maybe five minutes if that for my meal.

This Chinese restaurant is the closest to my home so I have eaten there about a half dozen times, mainly because of the convenience. Always take out. But every time I get food from this restaurant I promise myself it will be the last time. The restaurant itself is large and clean. And the ladies at the counter are always very nice. But It seems no matter what dish I order there is always VERYSMALL portions of whatever meat is supposed to be in the dish. Oh, if you love tons of celery or onion in your dishes this is the restaurant for you! Anyway, I have eaten there for the last time. I ordered Manchurian Beef and an order of Fried Wonton. There was scant beef in the Manchurian Beef dinner but a CRAZY quantity of celery. There were only FOUR Fried Wonton(not Crab Rangoon but Fried Wonton). I asked for small cup of Sweet and Sour sauce to dip the Fried Wonton and was charged an additional $ 1. I’ve eaten there for the last time. I have promised myself NEVER again! I will drive 3 times as far to get GOOD Chinese and not get ripped off. Don’t waste your time and money. Find the next closest Chinese Restaurant.

It’s nothing fancy… you walk up and order. They yell your number. Your servered in styrofoam. and yet… Amongst the menu are some tasty treats. A great twice cooked pork with tender marinated meat, huge slices of cabbage, carrot, and green pepper in a brown sauce. Ask for some chili sauce to give it that needed kick. On a side menu a amazing shrimp with black bean sauce. Fried rice is above average here. Most entrees enough to share. A no frills keep it cheap how do they make it so tasty for the price.

Been working in Reston/Herndon off and on for 20 years now and directly across from China King for almost 3 years and have never been — until today. Probably never will go back. Food wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great(or even ‘good’). I had the steamed chicken and vegetables and hot and sour soup. All 4 of the vegetable varieties in the dish were fresh except the canned(!) mushrooms. Ugh, really?! How can you ruin an otherwise«fresh» dish with canned ‘shrooms?! It’s not like fresh mushrooms are hard to come by or expensive. The chicken in the dish was ok for pounded out, unseasoned chicken. The«sauce» for the dish was too gelantin-ous to use and they gave me more of it then I would need for about 6 entrees! The hot and sour soup was a big let-down. I’m not too picky when it comes to H&S soup but this was too(!) salty. I think my lips were swollen up like Kylie Jenner’s when I left there and I couldn’t even finish it(lest my lips drag the floor!)! And I discovered their secret for low prices — smaller portions — at least for my dish. The styrofoam container my dish came served in was about ½ the depth of other restaurants containers!

Menu items are hit or miss. However once you find the ones that are good then it’s worth it. If it’s close to where you live or work, then it’s worth the short drive for carryout. I like the fried chicken wings appetizer, the Singapore style rice noodles, and the General Tso’s. I just tried the General Tso’s lunch special and I wish I had tried it sooner. The fried rice was really good and I don’t even really like rice. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and the sauce was really good.

This place gets points with me because its cheap and reliable. Price is the same at lunch or dinner. I wouldn’t say I’ve ever had«the best ___I’ve ever had» here, but then again, I’ve had much worse Chinese food. It’s a safe bet; A-OK. When I stray from my favorites, I’m usually disappointed. What to get: HOTPEPPERCHICKEN — tastes more like Kung Pao then their kung pao on the menu PORK W GARLICSAUCE — probably order this one the most — sweet, spicy, the sauce just has more character than the regular brown sauce. SHRIMPINLOBSTERSAUCE — I order this when I want to feel like im eating«lighter» — comes in quart sized soup container. HOTANDSOURSOUP — a little on the sweet side, but full of flavor SINGAPORENOODLES — curry sauce on rice noodles with mixed meat and onions CURRYCHICKEN — yellow curry with onions and peas What I don’t like: KUNGPAO — too saucey and sauce too thick, just tastes like brown sauce SWEETANDSOURPORK — I swear they just fry up the fat they cut off their other pork dishes. Should be labeled, «Sweet and sour pork FAT». Had quite a few pieces of «just breading, no pork» as well. Everything else, is just ok. Lots of thick brown sauce in the mix. I’m never really wow’d by them, but like I said, it’s usually decent and for 6 bucks and change, I’m not complaining. Don’t bother asking for substitutions. One time I tried to ask for Pepper Steak and onions, but asked if they could make it spicy, and the lady yelled at me. Seriously. She was all like, «you want spicy?! Don’t order Pepper steak!!» OK.

Decent quality, cheap prices, and good portions. The hunan beef and King pao are probably your best bets. If you want higher quality/authentic Chinese at a little bit of a higher price go to 100 degrees.

We have been getting dinners occasionally on Friday nights here for about a year and a half. They have always accepted my card, so I’m a little confused about the description saying they don’t accept credit cards. The food is good, the portion sizes are generous and they are consistent. We usually order the sesame chicken w/veggie fried rice and the spare ribs but we have also tried the sweet and sour chicken and the pepper steak. It’s nothing super-spectacular, but they are very reasonably priced and dependable.

Pretty awesome prices for the portions you get. Also, very quick service. The Shrimp Lo Mein was a bit greasy for my liking, but the General Tso’s was pretty good — I was surprised that there was a decent meat to breading ratio, though I wish there was a little more spice to the sauce(overall it was good though!) I can’t remember the last time I actually liked the egg rolls at a Chinese restaurant, so for that reason alone I’ll definitely come back to China King whenever I’m craving some cheap Chinese.

I tried this place cause of the reviews and it was OK. Good for the price(very cheap). Get a lot of food and very very fast. I ordered the shrimp and vegetable lunch special and it did the job by filling me up but the flavors weren’t there. Could have used more flavor. Good for the price and speed!

China King is a fast food Chinese restaurant. You stand in line and place your order just like you would at any fast food burger joint. The place is nothing to look at. Very sparsely appointed with small tables for four people each. They don’t accept credit cards — it’s cash only. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken lunch special — which includes fried rice and a fried vegetable/shrimp roll, and I also ordered the hot and sour soup. The food was cheap and was better than I was expecting. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken extra spicy and I was perspiring by the time I was done eating. The soup was pretty good as well. On the negative side — the place could have been a lot cleaner — all of the tables — ours included — looked like it had dried streaks of something on the table. The place seemed to generate a steady stream of traffic. Not sure that I will be back considering there are many other local Chinese options — ones that are cleaner, have waiter service, accept credit cards, and have a much nicer ambiance.
