JK Pest & Termite

Justin owns this company and has many years of experience working for «the big guys.» And what I loved about him is how refreshingly NOT «big guy» style he was. He was incredibly responsive (returned my call within 10 minutes from the road, came over within a half hour for an estimate), and informative without being pushy or having a rehearsed/​packaged type of script that one typically gets from the «big guys»… he was so fun and comfortable to deal with, while at the same time being completely professional. And excellent! We had a large hornets nest in a tricky spot on a high deck and he went above and beyond to get to that nest (on a ladder) and get it good. Haven’t see a hornet since, and we’re going on a month since he came out. He insisted that if we saw a bee after he left, to call him and he would come back for no charge. Fortunately we didn’t need to do this. But I will call him from now on for our pest needs, he is an expert and his rates are very refreshing as well — so much better than the «big guys»! He truly cares about his business and as an independent business supporter, I would recommend him without any hesitations whatsoever!

The owner, Justin, is incredibly responsive, knowledgable and honest. He treated a termite problem at our home a few years back and he comes to our house annually as part of the warranty. He always returns calls within a few hours and he is very flexible as to when he will make house calls, for which he shows up on time. He knows his business as well as the big named companies, but he is much more reasonably priced. He is refreshingly honest as to whether or not you need his services, or if you can treat the pest problem yourself. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Took more than 24 hours to return call to set up appt. Was flexible on when so set up few days ahead. Got text approx couple hours prior to appt time to reschedule. On rescheduled day of, received a text was on way 10 minutes before end of two hour window. No thanks!

We had JK Pest & Termite out to look at a mouse problem we’d been having in our home. Justin returned our calls/​emails right away and came out the same day at our schedule to have a look. He was knowledgeable and friendly and we were extremely happy w/​the service we got. I would recommend this company without hesitation for any pest or termite problems you are having.

I also found JK Pest through Angie’s List and he did not dissapoint. This is an owner operated business and Justin is very good. I had bad ant problems in my house and he was able to get rid of the ants in one appointment. He is very knowledgable and very thorough when inspecting and spraying his magic formula. I used to use one of those big pest companies for 1 year in the past and they never got rid of the ants. Because he was able to get rid of my ants in one showing I have signed up for his quaterly sessions.

I called JK to come evaluate a termite problem that appeared quite significant. I had them about 1 ½ years ago, and did not do a very thorough job of dealing with them.
I needed to bring out some bigger jobs.
I found JK Pest & Termite on Angies List and they seemed to meet all the criteria I was looking for.
An «A «rating, good pricing, small enough that you knew you were dealing with someone with experience rather than a large company with large compliment of trained but not necessarily experienced technicians. They say they had an excellent rating with the BBB, and I looked them up and conformed that. (Note: I use the BBB a lot as well, and having only 1 complaint in its entire history, is quite remarkable. And that complaint got resolved.)
So, I call, leave a message and then a couple hours later I notice I had messages on both numbers I left. I called back and Justin the owner picked up, and he said he would be out the next day to inspect and review. True to his word, he was there on time and did a thorough evaluation of the situation.
I had a couple different termite swarms, one had penetrated the house in the front porch area, and another on the opposite side towards the back had yet to make it inside. This came as no surprise as my tenants indicated seeing quite a large number of them inside the basement (this is the season there they come out apparently)
Justiin went over the options with me, he went over the different treatments, chemicals, methods commonly used, and we settled on a plan of action. We talked bates, we talked chemicals, we talked preventative. He was patient with all my questions.
He was out the very next day to tackle the job. The plan included chemical treatments spanning the entire perimeter of the property, as well as drilling into concrete and other portions of the house to ensure the proper areas were treated.
The treatment should be effective for several years. If between now and then I have anything to add, I’ll come back and update my review.
But for now, I am very happy I found a reliable, responsible, reasonable, professional that I can trust to take care of pests and termites for me, not just now, but in the future as well.
