We went to pick up prescriptions today and waited in line for 20 minutes. My wife was only acknowledged after she opened the car door to knock on the glass of the drive thru window. We have been loyal customers since the store opened, but will be switching to another drugstore immediately. When I called the store to complain, the manager was not on duty. In fact, the acting manager admitted that the store is intentionally understaffed by the District Manager, Jerry Couch. She stated that they have asked for more staff during busy times, but are routinely directed to understaff the store.
Having received less than pleasant service from the pharmacy over the past few years, combined with today’s experience and revelation about understaffing, we will be moving elsewhere. Managing a business in this manner (Walmart style) will eventually put this location out of business.

I went there once for some supplements I needed.
It’s FILTHY, MESSY and the staff is not only extremely UNhelpful but also UNfriendly!
Stood in line for 20 minutes and then the price for my supplements was wrong and I ended up paying more than it was priced as. No apologies and no word from the staff when I asked about it.
I was treated as they simply wanted me to get out and never come back.
After I already had a terrible experience with the CVS in Herndon, I though I’d give them a try. But this place is not a bit better.
I wonder how they still stay open and who goes shopping there.
I live in Herndon, but will now drive over to Reston if nobody offers a better Pharmacy in this town.

I sort of like browsing Walgreens shelves. It is pretty anonymous and they leave you alone. Being foreign tourist (language) it sometimes is stressful in shops when everyone is asking if you’ve been help as soon as you look the least lost or thoughtful.
This place has good enough stock and you can find most things, even adapters for power outlets. Decent range of medication. But I actually didn’t find plasters for chafed feet.
They accept AMEX.

This store has some of the best customer service around. They are always looking to help you find whatever it is that you are looking for… Even if they have to pick it up from another store. Ken at the front register always tells me thanks for choosing us every time I check out. I love getting my photos done there, even with it being a busy photo lab if both of the kiosks are being used I just upload my photos using the walgreens app right from my phone. I can also scan my prescription bottles from the app too! Such an amazing tool and so convenient. The pharmacist Joan and Minh are so sweet and have helped me tremendously. Not to mention all the managers. My favorite walgreens ever!
