I gotta say this place is a real treat! You can not go wrong. There are so many rotating desserts and there really is something for everyone wether it be vegan, kids desserts or adult desserts they have it. I prefer to come here to pick out something special for birthdays. Plus you can’t beat by one get one days on Monday and Tuesdays. Check their website and you can find out their daily specials. Oh and this place opens at the crack of dawn Ps try the frozen hot chocolate! It is heaven. I would stay away from the kid cup cakes with heavy colored icing. It really gets everywhere and stains everything. Not to mention what it looks like coming out of the kids is gross. Sorry TMI I would agree that they are not the friendliest when waiting on you. They need to go back to customer service school.

The Desserts etc was just the place to eat after dinner. The choices were insane, I sat there for 15 minutes making up my mind. I chose the coconut cake with hot chocolate, my friend chose the raspberry cake and hot chocolate. They served us each a large piece of cake, wow. And the cakes were amazingly good. The hot chocolate was a bit hot, but nothing you couldn’t fix with a little cold milk. The girls there were friendly and helpful. I would recommend everyone to go here and try it out. The prices were a bit high, but considering what you got, it was well worth the trip. I would’ve liked to try everything there, but our trip nixed that idea.

Good prices and great selection! Stopped here 3x during a 3 night stay. Muffins, sticky buns, brownies, etc. all delicious, fresh, and made in house. Staff is friendly. Daily specials so check the board when you walk in. Must stop in Hershey!

As a local this will become a regular stop. A fantastic tourist alternative to Starbucks at the outlets. Better prices, better desserts, less chaos and room to relax, outside or in.

I will admit that there baked goods look great, but… So over the top sweet and I love sweets but can’t get it down. Gag. What more is there to say,

I was looking for cannolis to serve at my Italian dinner and this was the only place open on Sundays. Their cannolis were delicious. I really lucked out on my last minute scrounging around the Harrisburg area.

Not sure why the majority of the employees here have an attitude problem. If they don’t want to be bothered with questions about their products, perhaps they should put a description under each item? I come here usually once, sometimes twice a week to treat myself. Drinks are inconsistent depending who makes them. And again… the attitude problem. Today I swore I would STOP going there, regardless how good their french macarons are. I have also noticed an inconsistency with the baking over the past year. Sometimes the pecan pies are perfectly gooey in the middle, sometimes they are a runny mess. For over $ 3 per mini pie, get it together! Cupcakes are occasionally dry/borderline stale. It’s one of those places where I say to myself every time I leave. «didn’t you swear this place off the last time you were here?». Today though, is it. If you sell bagels, perhaps you should get something better than a household toaster to toast them. And do NOT get an attitude with me when I ask you to put the bagel in the toaster again because you just handed me a cold bagel that can’t get toasted because you just used a bottom of the line, household toaster, to toast 3 bagels in a row. Seriously, where is the customer service element here!!!

I like Desserts Etc. very much. While their cupcakes, bagels, and other pastries are yummy, I most often come here for a salad and coffee at lunchtime. Excellent coffee. Good service — the people behind the counter are always very nice. I’ve also ordered 2 trays of chocolate covered strawberries from them for different events & they were a hit each time. I really like the atmosphere here too. :)

They have great gluten free bagels, cupcakes and pastries every day. My husband has Celiac and this is one of the few places in Hershey we can get a bagel that he can eat. They make great cakes too. I ordered one for my daughter’s baptism from there and it tasted as good as it looked.

I stopped in one Saturday morning last month to check this place out. From the outside it looked intriguing and the inside atmosphere was cozy and warm. People were drinking coffee and eating their pastries. I looked over the display case while a few customers were ordering and milling about. One major flaw stood out to me: not once did an employee greet me, welcome me, or say she would be with me in a moment. It was like I was invisible. As background, I should state that I have previously worked in the customer service industry and trained others in the proper techniques of excellent customer service. This place is hugely lacking in that area which greatly surprised me! Bakeries are typically businesses that are friendly and the people are passionate about what they do(at least the successful ones are). Sadly, I left without buying anything because of this experience. In all honesty, I’m not really sure if I will return.

I’ve been here half a dozen times over the course of a year and I’ve noticed a pattern: unfriendly, annoyed workers. It’s very disappointing because the desserts are great and it’s a nice place. But I’ve consistently felt a negative energy there. Ask about ingredients: annoyed. Ask for drink customizations: annoyed. Change the culture. Be friendly and wanting to help. Wanting to make it better. Make Hershey a friendly place to visit.

The muffins were good but the coffee is much I be desired for. It’s more of a dessert coffee then a good coffee shop latte.

Cute little coffee shop in Hershey, PA. You’d expect to find a coffee shop like this in NYC and not in central PA. Nice décor, decent pastry and beverage selection — some unique. I ordered a few items to go. The peanut butter chocolate cupcake was good. The cupcake was moist not too sweet and had the hershey peanut butter cup on top with peanut butter frosting. It was good. The lemon tart was pretty good. wish it had more crust on the bottom. It was not too tart, so that made up for it. The chocolate chip cookie dough brownie was delicious, and I don’t care much for brownies. The coffee was Peet’s, and was good. There are promotions daily. Today was BOGO cupcakes, tomorrow is BOGO muffins, etc. What I like about Desserts Etc is that their pastries don’t appear overly sweet like many places. Pastry prices are on par or cheaper than Starbucks. Pastries are comparatively larger portions. Definitely would come again when visting Hershey park!

I thought this place was going to be amazing since its owned an operated by the Hershey Pantry folks and I’ve long been a fan of their breakfast – which is one of the best in Hershey. I’m not a big dessert person, but my boyfriend wanted to check it out. We opted for the Sunday special which is buy-one-get quiche(slice or whole pie). The quiche was tall, perfectly browned and looked very inviting… but it was extremely light and under-seasoned. When you peer into the dessert case it is both overwhelming and impressive, yet there wasn’t anything that was begging me to try it. But then again I’m not into desserts. Everything looks amazing, I’m just not sure the taste matches the aesthetics. We topped off our quiche with a cookie. Again, it was very large, but it was just a cookie. Nothing special. The other thing that irked me was the coffee situation. They had Pete’s coffee. I don’t have an issue with Pete’s. I quite enjoyed the Pete’s café on campus in school, but for a high-end dessert place I would expect a coffee offering to match. With the selection of independent coffee roasters in the area, I would have liked to have seen a local offering. Plus there just weren’t a lot of coffee drink options. I don’t know. Not impressed. But take my review with a grain of salt since I’m not into desserts and that’s their gig.

They added seating! Awesome. The outdoor seating area is really nice when the weather’s good(and before the bugs invade), but they also added indoor tables which greatly improve your chances of sitting down to enjoy your treat. Good work, Desserts! Coffee continues to be reasonable but they could improve considerably by adding whole milk to their offerings. Real espresso bars are, after all, shifting to even fattier milk than whole(!) in many places.
