Ate there for a work dinner. Lots of steaks at the same time. Mine was burnt on one end and almost rare on the other. Service staff was slow to come around, so it was easier to suck it up & find the sweet spot in the middle instead of making a fuss in front of the boss.

Harvest at Hershey Hotel: fantastic ambiance but letdown by the menu offerings. the Wings all choices were over cooked, too crispy. Not a great presentation where of chicken wings is the primary item, the wings could have been shaken of excess oil instead I was served a chicken wing oozing of grease. The celery and carrots looked a bit more than day old, no snap to determine freshness. Offering to make the dish only adds insult to injury. The hamburger was not well put together, overcooked as well, soggy lettuce. If it wasn’t for the view and name, the restaurant wouldn’t be as popular as it is

Eh… a $ 400 night hotel should have amazing 5 star brunch spots, but naa. Harvest was high hopes for our first«Chocolate» drink in Hershey we were craving a chocolate martini or something similar to be excited about, basically parking a mile away to walk all the way through the hotel to get here we were ready for it. First walked to the bar and waited for few minutes with no bartender, then had to wait 10 minutes to be seated in a nearly dead restaurant, beautiful views however. We ordered our drinks and told her I was gluten-free and she told me she would check on anything I ordered. My drink an honey maple cider which had Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Local Maple Syrup, Local Apple Cider was excellent. However the ladies I was with had two different chocolate martinis and tasted like crap, pure alcohol no chocolate flavor and just bland for $ 12, you expect Hershey Hotel to have these martinis down, but nope only ordered one then we were like let’s go somewhere else. However we did order a cheese plate, and pork roast type thing and the food was EXCELLENT and tasted very good. The presentation was also beautiful, bartender however sucked.

I think for a resort restaurant, you have to come in with certain expectations. For starters, it will be higher priced fare for the convenience of not having to drive anywhere for dinner. Secondly, it’s Hershey. With that being said, we didn’t have a horrible meal but it also wasn’t a knock your socks off experience. When we arrived we were seated at a table that had not yet been wiped down. They removed the dishes and silverware but there was still food crumbs all over the table. I was surprised the hostess felt content to sit us at a dirty table, but nonetheless, we sat down. Shortly after she left, our waitress came over and immediately noticed and had us move one table over to a clean, «ready» table. We each ordered a drink and we started with the She Crab Soup. It was pretty good and I was surprised at the amount of meat in the soup. From past experience(not from here, just everywhere) you usually don’t get a ton of meat in this soup. For the entrée we both ordered the Pan Seared Whole Trout. It was a bit deceiving as you don’t actually get a «whole» trout, just the meat from the body. The fish was cooked perfect and had good flavor. The side of fingerling potatoes and brussel sprouts were just ok. Most of my brussel sprouts were way over roasted, chewy or burnt. We had plenty of sweets back in the hotel room from shopping earlier in the day so we did not get any dessert. All in all, it was a nice visit, but for the $ 100 we spent on the two of us, there could have been a little more pizazz for us. I wouldn’t rule it out if we came back to the hotel though.

We are staying at the hotel for my husband’s 40th birthday weekend. We have eaten at the other restaurants and thought we would try Harvest last night for dinner. Unfortunately we did not have a great experience. We ordered the mussels cooked in fennel, bacon, cream and wine. First of all there was no bacon in the sauce, not even the flavor of it. Second, there were 25 mussels in the bowl for $ 11 – 13. The portion was TINY considering mussels cost .03 cents a piece on average. There was also no seasoning in the broth. We would never order that again. Next we got a wedge salad. I should have taken a photo. It was the tiniest salad I have ever seen, covered in a few bacon pieces, roasted tomatoes, and a TON of blue cheese. There was more blue cheese than lettuce. I actually had to scrape some off to make the salad edible otherwise I would have just been eating chunks of blue cheese. For our entrees my husband ordered the 14oz ribeye, rare with a baked potato and roasted mushrooms, while I ordered the burger, med rare with cheddar, bacon and roasted mushrooms. The $ 48(you read that right) came out medium well and we sent it back. The first time it had no bone in it. But when it came out the second time it had a bone and looked like a different cut of meat. But I was halfway finished my burger and he didn’t want to wait any longer. My burger was fine, certainly nothing to write home about. The major issue I had with it was the roasted mushrooms still had the inedible stems on them. Some mushrooms have stems that you should eat, these(looked like shiitake) did not. They were tough and chewy. Our server was Ashley and while she was efficient, she was not friendly. The manager or shift supervisor did come over to apologize for the steak. This was an underwhelming meal to say the least.

Checked in on 11⁄1 for lunch. Ambience is good, but food was a big letdown. I expected more, given the Hershey name and the Hotel is so beautiful! We had: 1) Chicken wings with buffalo sauce 2) Grilled Portobello and roasted beet wrap — tasteless, had no seasoning, no flavor 3) Black bean burger — very dry 4) Bow creek farms american burger I won’t miss it, if I never visit again!

We ate there two of the three nights staying at the hotel Hershey. The first night was okay at best but we figured we’d give it another shot. It was not good. The service was great, but the food was not. We ordered rotisserie chicken. It tasted like it was a rubber chicken. We actually sent it back and asked for grilled chicken. They obliged and corrected the bill, but the food was not good. We will not chew our cabbage a third time. We won’t be back.

If you’re looking for a plate of salt this is the place for you. Had the burger, burger was ok but the fries had so much salt you could scoop it out the plate. This wasn’t a one time thing because the other people I was with had the same problem with their food. Not coming back here.

After a somewhat underwhelming experience at the Circular, and considering the high prices for anything but breakfast, we decided to go to Harvest for dinner. The experience here was much more gratifying. I have to say the best part of the meal was two-fold…the dessert(to be reviewed later) and our server, Kayla. She truly was who every diner should have taking care of them. She never made us feel rushed and was very attentive, even though she had other tables and was even happy to help with suggestions. Her boss should take note. Anyway, the ambience was great… rustic yet classy. I really felt comfortable here. The food was very good and tasted fresh. Everything was well seasoned and there were a number of options, none of which seemed like it would be a bad choice. But it was the dessert that was just out of this world. It’s called the Take 5 and comes with a warm, gooey brownie, ice cream, salted caramel sauce, whipped cream and chocolate covered pretzel pieces, perfectly broken down to fit on spoonful of deliciousness. It was by far the best thing I had on the trip. Would definitely return here in the future. So why four stars instead of five? It was not easy to find at first(a theme of the weekend) and I felt the portions were a bit small for the price point.

Decent food at the Hershey Hotel. Good selection for all members of your family and a good selection of drinks too. If you’re staying at the hotel it’s easy to eat here instead of driving to another place for the same food. Restaurant is nice looking and the views are sweet. A Candy treat is available in a box labeled«sugar» in the waiting area.

Sigh. I should have known better to go to a Hershey Hotel restaurant looking for good food, and yet I dared to hope. The calamari we had as an appetizer was fine — whatever sauce it came with was the highlight of the meal. The ‘chocolate’ barbecue sauce on my ribs tasted nothing like it, the rest of the plate was fine but nothing special. My mom’s wedge salad was the tiniest I’ve ever seen. My sister got the burger, and was the only one who ordered correctly, as it was the best dish of the meal. The real disappointment was dessert, because I do think it’s reasonable to come to Hershey and expect a good dessert. The Take 5 sundae was not it. The brownies were spongy rather than fudgy, the quantity of caramel and chocolate sauce insufficient, and I don’t even think the chocolate covered pretzels on it were Hershey brand. Meh.

Meal was good — very surprised and happy that there were labeled vegan items ONMENU! Very knowledgeable and accommodating staff. Fresh food and friendly faces with a bit of a dress code, very nice oasis for any time of day

Couldn’t figure out where to have a nice dinner in hershey and decided on Harvest. It was an awesome choice. The restaurant was very nice and comfy. Our server Kim was AMAZING! She was so attentive. So polite. So professional and wonderful. My water glass was never empty. I felt like I was the only person in the place! The food was also delicious:) Highly recommend Harvest and ask for Kim!

Went to harvest with family for my birthday celebration. Let me start off by saying if you have never eaten here you need to! We all ordered something different — steak for me! And some apps. The waitress was awesome. I wish I could remember her name. Always had beverages out to us immediately. The steak was cooked to perfection and it tasted amazing. This was the second visit and both times were exceptional! A suggestion is eat a little later then hang around the fire pit behind the restaurant after dinner! Perfect evening!

This place was overpriced and food was mediocre at best. The steak was not tender all all, and really had no seasoning or flavor. I ordered the steak medium-rare, it came out overdone. I did not like the sauce they gave us to dip it in, and it as a $ 30 meal. Honestly — my favorite part was the bread that came before the meal. I didn’t care for the uniforms that the waitresses had to wear, the farm attire did not fit restaurants prices or décor. I will not be going back, this restaurant does not even compare to hotel hershey’s other eateries.

Harvest is a detached restaurant located at the Hotel Hershey, not to be confused with The Harvest off Progress Avenue. This restaurant boasts fresh menu options with as many locally obtained ingredients as they can get their hands on. Subject to that, they have varying menu that shifts with the climate so to speak. With so much thought put into seasonal items it’s no wonder the food tastes so good. Personally, so long as it’s delicious I don’t care if the ingredients are fresh so when I dine here it’s just a perk. But if you’re into that kind of thing this is a good place to practice. With all that focus on the menu, I feel it is also important to point out some of the features that Harvest doesn’t put forth so veraciously. For one thing, the building is gorgeous. Most notably, the ceiling in the dining area is composed of a myriad of colorful stained-glass. It’s a very well put together establishment that also seems to have lavish outdoor accommodations as well. Naturally, the view is just a memorable. I suspect a lot of receptions are held here. I really enjoyed my 3 course meal during restaurant week. In all honesty however, I sampled 6 courses making my experience double in satisfaction. With so many positives circling about, it’s hard to think of any downsides. Perhaps the price is a bit steeper than others, what with the inflation due to all the natural, locally«harvested» ingredients, but I can’t say for certain because I went when the prices were fixed.

Wooo this is a super overdue review. I came here for my anniversary whilst staying at the Hotel Hershey. This is what we had: Sangria flora Pomegranate margarita Chicken wings: chocolate BBQ sauce with scallion Housemade papardelle pasta with chicken pan seared jurgielewicz & son’s farm duck breast dessert shooter trio: death by chocolate, s’mores, lemon meringue pie My sangria was good, but my boyfriend’s margarita wasn’t so great. To be fair I don’t really like margarita– and he was pretty pleased about it so it’s up to taste! The chocolate BBQ sauce on the wings was REALLY interesting. I had to eat two to really acquire the taste. It’s not a BAD acquired taste but it is definitely different. I really liked them. I took some back to the hotel to munch on later! Heh heh. The papardelle pasta was nice and very filling! I didn’t totally love it but I don’t think it has any flaws. It wasn’t fantastically seasoned or anything of that sort. I had some of my boyfriend’s dish of duck breast and it was also really well made. It had a great taste, not dry at all. However I will wildly rave about he desert! It was wooooonderful. The lemon meringue was my favorite – shockingly. It’s a refreshing finish to the other two chocolate-y shooters. Also the service is lovely. Our server was very polite and prompt AAAND not annoying at all. Overall it is NOT cheap. We came here to treat ourselves. If we ever come back, we’d probably come back for the desert and nothing else. Just go here at least once if you have the opportunity.

It’s a pretty restaurant and the service is up to Hotel Hershey standards. The food was kind of blah. My Caesar salad was pretty bland and the pretzel crusted calamari was on the soggy side. I had been angling to go back to Trevi 5 and get another of the cured meat salads; I wish my husband had listened to me.
