Great atmosphere. 3 levels of bars and seating. Great cocktails. Weekday happy hour specials from 4:30 — 6:30. Decent draft beer selection. Always busy on the weekends. Seasonal outdoor seating.

Having been here countless times, I think the service and food as become sub par to accommodate the growing crowd. I remember my first and second meal here, both which where phenomenal. However, ever since those first two times, it’s gone a little down hill. The salads are not the same, the filet mignon and salmon also don’t taste the way they did before the Mill became so popular.

Ended up sitting at the bar to eat because it was so busy. The food was pretty good, but the service from the bartender was the highlight of the visit. A trendy, cool looking place near Hershey Park, much better than the chain restaurants in the area and far less kids!

Food was great and service staff was very friendly. However, we were annoyed initially when they were willing to turn away a party of 8 because the wait time would exceed their kitchen prep hours at 7:30 pm. But we’re willing to seat is at 2 seperate tables without any issue. With this exception we would definitely return if we were in the area.

Drinks an food and ambiance were very nice. Extensive tap list of local brews and good cocktails. Food was good. I had the tofu curry and my dining companion had the crab cakes. Both were excellent quality the tofu curry was spicy. However restaurant is very over priced and difficult to find.

My first experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The food was great, good service, great atmosphere. Tonight, my brother in law came at 4:30 in the afternoon and was told that they could probably accommodate our party of 6 at 5:00. Upon the rest of the party arriving by 4:45 we were told they couldn’t in fact accommodate us. They had multiple reservations and would not combine two tables together. We could have a booth but would HAVE to be out by 6:00. My family left the more-than-half empty restaurant to go to somewhere else. I’m not sure with the negative attitude we have received if we will continue recommend The Mill. We were excited to share this restaurant for the first time with out of town family, only to be embarrassed and leave the restaurant.

Tonight was the worst experience we ever had here. Did not get greeted by anyone and sat at the bar for a while before even being acknowledged and served!

The only option for a vegetarian was a hummus wrap — -hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes. I honestly expected more from a place like this. I couldn’t even eat it, it was that bad. I hope they change there menu and be more accommodating.

Was taken to The Mill for my birthday today. I was looking forward after many friends liked the restaurant. To my surprise, appetizer of Bacon and Brussele Slaw interesting. Unless you like raw FAT, don’t order this(two four inch raw smoked bacon with little or no pork). The slaw was very good. Who eats raw fat from a pig? My host ordered the soup special of Cheese and Steak. OK, she would not order it again. The mussels had raw pork fat pieces also. My salad of ali tuna was fine? he dessert was Cream Boulie and was fine. One half a strawberry and whipped cream for two to split. Nothing special about this food. Service was fine. No one ask about water. Where to enter is an issue, as I can’t walk well. After taking on the front stairs, we had to walk down to the bar for lunch. Maybe better signage would help.

Well I don’t ever leave reviews. maybe I should to spare people. This restaurant tho is very appealing to the eye very well done however they should fire the help and the chef. Ordered the bacon appetizer because we all love bacon but got two large pieces of bacon fat instead. Then the brought the dinner with the salad at same time .what this is like a $ 50.00 dinner ok So I had the brisket oh they forgot the meat on that to just received a big chunk of fat !! Holy cow get me out of here !!

This place was pretty good. Took a few minutes before our server decided to greet us, but other than that she was very pleasant and stayed on top of everything. The food was quite yummy. We started with the smoked duck and the house bacon, both were delicious. Our entrees were pretty good, too. The scallops were huge and cooked perfectly, the sage and cheddar grits they sat on top of was good, and the braised greens were awesome. However, the whole pickled squash thing going on was mildly disgusting. And my fiancé ordered the brisket, which was also super yummy… except for the fact that most of his portion was nothing but a chunk of fat. But the celery root slaw was the most amazing thing ever! Dessert was an A+. The crème brûlée was really thick, but amazing! All in all, we would definitely go again. The food was good and the place is gorgeous!

It’s Hershey Pennsylvania first and foremost and The Mill is a hearty attempt at contemporary American cuisine. It does well. The deviled eggs aren’t bad and the Chicken and Waffles aren’t bad — it’s a little overpriced for the location but sometimes you gotta aspire to what you want to be rather than what you are.

I’m a local, long true Hershey fan and was excited when they first opened up, but honestly this placed was, a still is kinda over-hyped, the food is actually pretty good but a bit over priced, however the drinks are good. The food is seasonal and local when possible which I fully support. The servers are great and the water is cucumber infused, YES! The tofu curry is awesome! They didn’t have it when they first opened up, but recently, my mom being a vegetarian, ordered it and I got the veal chops, now I think about it I wish I’d gotten that instead. The apps are great but the artisanal cheese board is load of BS. The cheeses are available at Trader Joes and Whole foods for sure, and it comes out in a small warming tray plate with an inadequate ratio of cheese to crostinis and too many sliced almonds(which are hard to eat by themselves on a cheese plate) and Ocean-Spray Craisins.

I really wanted to like this place. Reading the reviews and seeing the menu I thought that I was going to be blown a way. The food was mediocre. Nothing spectacular worthy of the price. I would say the prices are about on par with Devon seafood if not more. We came to the happy hour but ordered some food off of the regular menu including the duck that was mentioned in several other reviews. Happy hour menu: The oysters were good and the primary reason why I chose to come here. I wish more places had buck a shuck. The oysters we were given were called skinny slippers and they were definately not skinny! They were meaty, moist, and deeply cupped. It went down very smoothly with the excellent cocktail sauce and we devoured two dozen quickly. The deviled eggs were delicious. The honey-jalapeño sauce was so good my daughter picked off all the micro greens off the plate. I ordered a Lime in a Coconut that was so «limey» it tasted more like key lime and completely masked the coconut in it. Regular menu: The duck breast was cooked perfectly but just lacked something, I could not tell. It wasn’t overly greasy as another reviewer also pointed out and the skin was perfectly crisp. The sun dried red tomato risotto with it was the best part of the plate, a perfect balance of tastes and cooked to perfection. The carrots were also very yummy. This plate was $ 28 and I don’t feel it deserved the tag. The fish and chips are HUGE. It looks like they gave it two ½″ battered fish. My daughter couldn’t finish it. But she said it was tasteless… She said the fries were good. My fiancé had the veal ribs. It was well seasoned, tender, and good. Not stellar, just good. He also had the risotto and coleslaw which he equivocated to a few pieces of sliced celery in white sauce. Dessert: I was told the chef is the pastry chef at the Hotel Hershey. I had a campfire cake. Again, it was alright. Based off an earlier review I thought it would be the stake in what keeps bringing me back to this place. It wasn’t. Again the chocolate was too thick and too rich. It drowned out the very ample amount of marshmallow and Graham. The apple gellee was interesting and random. My daughter had the chocolate sorbet with whip cream. The whip cream was flavorlees, literally. It didn’t taste sweet nor milky/creamy. It was like putting nothing in my mouth. In contrast the chocolate sorbet was too rich and sweet for her to finish the two scoops she received without whipped cream to tone it down. A dessert that is too rich for a kid, that tells a lot. Service: the service was phenomenal. The waitress was more than attentive and I was impressed with her knowledge of the menu. All in all I think I’ll just stick to their happy hour… I won’t be clamoring to return.

Hm, surprised this place only has 3.5 stars. Definitely one of the more upscale restaurants in Hershey — great place for a birthday or anniversary. A little on the higher end in terms of prices, and may be a tad overpriced, but I think depending on what you get, it’s definitely worth it. Cool vibe and really really loud live music on the weekends. Be sure to make a reservation on the weekends and request to sit on the main level so you aren’t deaf by the end of the night. The service has always been really great at the bar and at sit down meals. Cocktails have been kind of strong every time I’ve gone, but not really complaining there. Food has also been pretty good. The duck has been a stand out for me. Definitely a place worth trying if you feel like splurging!

I wish I lived closer so that I could frequent this restaurant on a regular basis! The atmosphere is amazing with its rustic yet industrial feel. The out door patio looks like it would be great on sunny days(it was unfortunately rainy the day I visited). Service: Everyone we came in contact with was extremely friendly and courteous. Service was prompt and the food came out in a timely fashion. Cocktails: I had the Hibiscus Peach Tea Sangria. It was light and refreshing, but could have used a bit more flavor. Food: To start they have a smoker in house and smoke and cure all their meats in house. We started with the Bacon and Jalapeño Cornbread, which had a great smoky hint and a good deal of heat. We got the Beef and Vegetable Soup, which was one of the BEST soups my girlfriend and I have ever had. It had smoked beef which must have simmered in the great broth for some time because it gave the broth a great smoky hint! Absolutely perfect(it should be on the menu instead of being a soup of the day)!! I then had the Beef brisket sandwich, which had great flavor and was served on a nice soft bun. The side of hand-cut French Fries was perfectly seasoned. Other: So we went during the afternoon and it wasn’t busy at all. I can see how it could get very loud as the crowd picks up. Due to the industrial design, there is nothing really to dampen the sound. I see that some people state that it is pricy. I don’t think it is pricy in any way! We got two cocktails, an appetizer, and two soup and half-sandwich meals with fries for roughly $ 50 total($ 25 per person is pretty reasonable for a lunch). This was a random selection for a bite to eat before heading back home after a morning at Hersheypark, and I’m so glad we stopped! Highly recommend!

First and foremost, this place is expensive. Its not over priced, but it does cost substantially more than some of the surrounding alternatives. Still, you get what you pay for and The Mill is worth every penny. A casual setting with an upper scale menu accurately describes this once functioning Curry Feed Mill now turned eatery. The menu depicts savory selections that are broad enough to satisfy everyone, but not too cumbersome as to sacrifice proficiency. Most everything here can be considered a specialty. In particular, the Maple Farm Duck Breast is to date one of the best meals I have ever had. My entire plate of food blended together in a harmonious flavor that lasted from the first bite to the last swallow. If you are visiting for your first time, and you like duck, I strongly recommend you order this entrée. Another highly noteworthy component of my meal was the water. I put a lot of weight into the quality of water a restaurant provides. Mainly because not everyone orders water simply to save money. Some people actually drink water to enjoy it. If you’re one of those people, this is the place for you. The Mill offers the best water I have ever had in a restaurant. There have been some runners-up, such as Miso and Maggiano’s, but this water wins out in an almost landslide. What’s their secret? Well, aside from the water obviously being fresh in nature, perhaps spring or purified, definitely not tap, they go the extra mile by adding a quality slice or two of cucumber in the decanter. If that sounds foreign to you, you’re not a devote water drinker, but it doesn’t matter. Its cool, its crisp, its delicious. Period. On a final note, The Mill is not only a good restaurant, but a cool building as well. If you haven’t done so already, be sure to take the time to visit each floor. Doing so will give you an even greater appreciation for this establishment. They’re all slightly different and probably have historical value though I will admit, my only concern was food!

The Mill is a nice recent addition to the foodie scene in central PA. The décor takes advantage of the historic building and is simple but nice. The service is professional and knowledgable. We enjoyed their calamari which was good but could have used a little more time in the oil. I had a fried cod which was nicely prepared. My wife had an interesting fried chicken sandwich served in a waffle. It was quite good tough again the chicken could have used a few more seconds in the oil. We are looking forward to trying dinner in the near future.

While we were in Hershey for a friends wedding, I was hanging out with a college buddy who lived nearby. He said I needed to stop by the Mill. I asked him if they had beer. He said, yeah. I was like, alright I’m in. First off the building is gorgeous. It was a remodeled train station. It was very open and warm and with great wood work everywhere. You could definitely tell it was a refurbished train station, how do you know that J? Because there was a train that went by that was so close to the building you could reach out and touch it! And the bar manager told me. It was pretty busy when we stopped in. We snagged a seat in the bar area and the bartender came right over to us. He was super nice and really into beer. The Mill had a great beer list. I was able to procure a punkuccino. It’s a great Pumpkin brew mixed with coffee. Highly recommend this if you can find it. For food, we ordered the smoked chicken app along with the house bacon app. The smoke chicken had a good smoked to it and the chicken was moist as well. I really liked it. The bacon app was awesome. It was more like a hunk of pork belly with a side of some sort of slaw. It was really delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed these tasty treats. I also dug the atmosphere in there too. Beside the fact that we may have been the youngest people in the place, it still had a good, happening vibe too it. When we went to leave we noticed there was a huge bar in the basement. Looked pretty chill and inviting. We will have to check it out another time. Definitely stop in if you are in the area getting your chocolate on. Cool little place!
