Simply Cake

Did this place shut down? If they did, that’s a crime. That would be a real knock on Hesperia. It’s tantamount to a great bookstore shutting down because no one appreciates Shakespeare.
I’m thinking people were too cheap to keep this place going, and now Hesperia is stuck with doughnuts. The gross garbage they try to sell at places like Stater Bros. isn’t fit to feed starving children in Africa.

I needed a cake for my sons birthday, and found Simply Cake on Unilocal and glad I did the cake was amazing. I will be back!

I don’t like to hand out five stars lightly, but I would give Simply Cake even more if I knew how to hack the system and make the rating bar go up. After watching them on Cupcake Wars, my family decided to stop by and see what they had ready-​to-​go.
Best. Decision. Ever.
All of us ended up going for their pistachio cannoli, and we were by no means disappointed. They’re big, the shells are baked to perfection, and the filling is so smooth, it feels like edible mascarpone-​flavored silk. And their customer service was as flawless as their sweets! We were treated to a fresh batch of pistachio filling once they realized they were out, and they were kind enough to mix it up on the spot for us.
It’s located right on Main, so seriously: if you are in the area, treat yourself. You’ve earned it, and they’re the best I’ve had in the High Desert.

I would have to give them a poor rating because they absolutely have the most odd hours! I don’t know how many times I tried to go before work to buy cupcakes or goodies for my staff at work. And they are not open. I tried there cupcakes they were good, but what good are they if you can’t stop by early to get them for the day!

This place is amazing! Their cake is delicious and looks great too! They made my graduation cake and not only did they make the exact flavors that we requested but they matched the desired design perfectly and they even accommodated our tight schedule in regards to picking up the cake.
I definitely recommend this place. They are fantastic!

Last year me and the hubby went there to order our wedding cake/​cupcake. The people were very nice an friendly. I think we order it like a week or so before the wedding. We Wanted the cake on a Sunday witch they are closes on. But they open the shop on Sunday so we could get our cake and cupcake. They did a AMAZING job. I and Everyone at the party was amazed on how DELICIOUS it was.
YOU CAN’T DO WHAT THEY DO AT HOME, THESE AREN’T CUPCAKES YOU CAN DO AT HOME!

My Delight Cupcakery you guys should be a shame of yourself bashing another cakes shop. Trust me NO ONE IN MY FAMILY OR FRIED ARE EVER GOING TO YOUR SHOP!

Excellent family owned bakery! As soon as I walked through the doors I immediately felt like family. They closed the shop a little early so that my now husband and I could sample cake flavors and fillings for our wedding cake.
We chose the classic white vanilla cake with a pistachio cannoli filling, and an alternate layer of vanilla with raspberry mousse filling. The cake was moist, delicious, and AMAZING (I dont even LIKE cake that much in general!).
It tasted great, and it was also BEAUTIFUL. On the morning of the wedding I was so excited when I saw how great it had turned out!
We just celebrated our first wedding anniversary and Simply Cake gave us a complimentary anniversary cake (also white cake w/​pistachio cannoli crème filling… We had been looking forward to tasting it again all year!!).
Definitely recommend.

Terrible customer service! I have been waiting for over a month for a quote from Matthew for my wedding. Since they are uninterested i will be going else where to get my cake. I am a Texas bride that is having her wedding in Cali and I found this company at a bridal show. So its not as though i can just take a stroll to their store to see whats taking so long. I even had a family member go to the store and Matthew brushed her off just like he brushed off my multiple request for quotes. I don’t know how you can run a business like this.

I have to agree with the other comments the cupcakes are very dry. But I decided to give them an other try so I ordered my sons birthday cake from them. I explained in detail what I wanted the cake to look like (even brought them a picture.) We scheduled to pick up the cake the day of the party in the a. m but when I called to see if it was ready they said I would have to pick it up at 3 p. m (the time the party started!) Not happy at all, when I picked up the cake it looked like they slapped on the fondue & stuck whatever was near by on it, it looked absolutely HORRIBLE nothing like I told them I wanted. Lets just say i never will go back again & would never recommend them to anyone. If your going to call yourself a baker please make sure you know how to bake & do as you promised your customers.

I came to this place the end of 2010. I didnt have the greatest cupcake but decided to go back while in the area this week. I was hoping the first time was maybe just a bad baking day for them, but it turned out both days were bad baking days. I had the lemon rasberry. The filing was actually really good. However, the cupcake was incredibly dry and the frosting tasted like it was purchased in the store. Extremely wonderful costomer service though and the cupcake decorating is really cute. If they change the dryness of the cupcake, I will give them another chance.

Delicious cupcakes and sweets. They opened on a special day just to get a cake tasting in for a bride! They have also donated their time and cakes to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event.

I agree with my fellow Unilocaler. This place isn’t anything that you couldn’t do at home, and probably better. I feel bad saying that because they are very friendly in here, but the cupcakes are certainly not anything to write home about. I also recommend My Delight Cupcakery in Ontario. They are some of the best I’ve ever had.

I stand behind my original review. I have been baking more than likely longer than Joseph has been alive, and I know quality baked goods when I taste them. Obviously, fellow Unilocaler Joseph has never tasted an awesome cupcake.
May I suggest My Delight Cupcakery in Ontario, just off the 10 freeway (Mountain exit). Those are some awesome cupcakes! The reviews speak for themselves.

For starters, I tried the cupcake in a cup and it was NOT DRY. It was MOIST and DELICIOUS.
On the hunt for cupcakes in the High Desert I stumbled upon Simply Cake. Simply Cake is located in the Stater Bros. shopping center off of Main and 9^th in Hesperia.
Not only were there a variety of cupcakes and cupcakes in a cup available for the picking but mini-​cheese cakes based off cocktails. From Pina Colada flavored to a Harvey Wallbanger. I tried the Harvey Wallbanger and at it was awesome!
Even though they have a display for baked goods available for purchase, Simply Cake’s specialty is wedding cakes. There are some pretty clever designs especially the ones made with fondant.
Go in, try a cupcake or two. You will be a fan!
