There are alot of items on the menu here which is a real red flag for me. I figured I was safe with a cheeseburger and vanilla shake. Boy was I wrong. The shake was ok but the burger was dreadful. It was dry, grey and inedible around the edges. I should have realized when the waitress did not ask me how I would like my burger cooked. A restaurant with this «homestyle» theme should be using fresh ground beef cooked to order.

I’ve been eating here on and off for about 15 years. It used to be really good. It changed ownership several years ago and has steadily gone down hill since then. The burgers are horrible. How can you screw up a hamburger? They figured out how. Breakfast. The cooks don’t know how to scramble eggs. Every time I order eggs they are burned, hard and rubbery. They also burn the bacon every time. The hash browns are dry and flavorless. The portions are definitely generous, but who needs a lot of bad food? I’ll take good food and less of it rather than a large portion of burned, rubbery eggs. I can’t believe that this place has gotten so many good reviews. The food is crap. Having said all this the service is very good. All the servers are very friendly and pleasant. They make you feel right at home.

I love spring house, a great family place, a good variety of food. It’s home cooked food :) with a home town feel. Italian sausage and eggs or cornbeef has and eggs just two of my favorites.

Food is alway good here, but today the waitress wasn’t good… She got egg yolk all over our table
She put A plate on top of my moms plate &broke her eggs & the yolk was on the bottom of the plates
Over all it was a GOOD MOTHERS DAY

I came back here because I had a great experience with some friends of mine about 5 years ago, but maybe this place has changed management because the food was horrible and the service was slow. We will never return. There are far too many other choices that are much better than this place.

This is by far the best place for kids in the high desert. Every weekend you can find many grandparents with their grandchildren in here. A lot of older people come here during the week and have breakfast while they read the paper.
The reason kids love this place is because they have trains along the entire restaurant. I didn’t get pictures because I didn’t think about it when I was eating.
The trains run around the room and go through little tunnels to come back. They have a few different sizes.
My sons just watch the trains as they wait for their food when grandpa takes them here for breakfast. They prefer to go with him because it’s their special thing to do.
The food is good. The employees are friendly and the service is fast. The prices are pretty good.

We stopped in one day because we were tired of eating at the same boring restaurants in Victorville. We were hesitant at first, but when we entered, we were greeted with a huge smile and welcome.
Let me tell you… the food is delicious! I have a habit of judging restaurants on how good their ranch dressing is. This place has THE best ranch. Mmmm.
I’ve had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and every plate that I’ve ordered has been delicious. The portions are huge and the prices are more than reasonable. The other half and I had lunch and it came out to under $ 13. When we took the kids, we paid just under $ 26 for the four of us.
I can’t say enough great things about this place. We always enjoy the waitresses and the food.

The last time I went with my family, the cute little train decoration wasn’t working. I hope they got it fixed! It’s the little things. Otherwise, the food was great, and my waitress gave very helpful, honest advice when I ordered my food. I appreciate that! :)

We have driven past this little café many times, its kind of tucked in a corner off a busy road, it was worth the u turn to get to it. We ended up being very happy we stopped by to have our lunch. Maria was super friendly and helpful in choosing our companions diet restricted lunch items. The portions were perfect– even needed a to go bag for some of it. The quality of the food shows when it still tastes good the next day. When we inquired about the train tracks displayed around the ceiling they started up the train for us, whistle blowing and everything, it gave it the feel and charm of an old time café. We will be back to visit again.

We came here once and I ordered a BLT on sourdough. Ever since I have been hooked. This is the ONLY, and when I say ONLY I mean ONLY place that cooks my bacon perfect. Other restaurants I always have to send the bacon back, even after requesting it to be crispy. I was so shocked that my bacon was perfect, I tipped the chef as well. Our normal waitress is Maria, but when she’s not in we use Rocki. It’s a nice little quite spot tucked on a corner. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. But the bacon is what keeps me going back. 5 stars because they truly do make it «as good as it gets» with my orders.

My favorite place to go for breakfast. Home town feel, the older Hispanic lady is my favorite waitress. She has been there for 20 years. Breakfast is served all day! But their spaghetti is horrible.

Cute, charming, local feel, great service
I’ve been here for breakfast several times, and really like it – it has a great local vibe, very down-​to-​earth. It has an expansive menu (coffee shop /​diner), and they’re very accomodating to substitutions. The prices are fair and portions are large. This is nothing fancy, for sure. It’s a nice coffee shop.
The service is so nice, and that’s by different waitresses… and they’ve made the experience all that more. A local in town recommended it, and I’m so glad they did.
