Checkers

To start off, the lady had a serious problem with a very easy order. I don’t know if it was because she was multi tasking, or it was hard to hear. We ordered a chocolate/​vanilla swirl cone, strawberry shortcake stacker, a strawberry funnel cake and a large strawberry funnel cake.
She handed us the funnel cake in a plastic straight to our hands, no bag whatsoever. And it was hot and melted. It was nothing like the picture. I didn’t even eat the strawberry shortcake stacker.
I don’t know, but Checkers isn’t doing it for me anymore. The service is poor, the food is greasy and always settles poorly in your stomach.

See? This is what pisses me off. Here you have this fast food chain where every option is fried, doubled and even tripple. You and your kids are overweight because you don’t have any time to cook real food because you’re too busy working so you can pay for things you can’t afford and don’t need anyway. Who do you blame? The one restaurant chain that is a worldwide success and the epitome of the American Dream, that’s who. Yet this one, goes unscathed feeding people Obesity with cheese on a bun.
First time having this. Mostly, because entering this shopping center from where I live is a nightmare during normal people hours. Now that I tasted it for the first time, I wasn’t particularly impressed. I’d rather drive the extra mile to McDonald’s.
I wasn’t wearing my hearing aids so I had no idea what he was saying. I just kept on saying «yes» to everything. All upsell options. A burger with bacon/​cheese, their fries, a medium banana shake and two apple pies for a Dollar, came-​out to almost $ 12. I would have been better-​off sitting down at a Chili’s, Applebees or, something like that.
I «may» or «may not» go to a Checkers again. Won’t be my first choice, though. But, come to find-​out today they have other choices not available at their competition, e.g., chili, hot dogs.
P. S.: I do drive by here a whole lot. It is steadily busy and on a very busy intersection here in HIaleah. Exiting this shopping plaza and attempting to exit on Ludlam Road to head back north will grant you receiving people screaming obscenities at you in Spanish because you just made them miss the green light.

I know people who worked here in the past telling me to work here, the boss apparently doesn’t care if you drop food. They’ll serve it to you. I will never come back, they don’t give you a receipt cause they try charging you extra and have messed up my order enough. Disgusting place!

the fries here taste like pork fat and everything is stale and crappy when i was younger this place had amazing food i don’t know if its all checkers who have gone down in quality or just this one but its bad and the service isn’t great either they would give me sauce to go with my chicken and fries saying i had to pay extra for that

Worse service in the fucking world. I’ve been waiting in a parking space for 30 minutes… POS

1 Star is being too nice.
The employees that work here are the absolute most incompetent workers I have ever come across. They cannot get an order right if their life depended upon it.
Do yourself the favor and avoid this location. You’re better off without it.

This Place was the best. It was better than the place I worked at when I lived in Miami. But then again, Anyplace was. I would rather go to denny’s though because there is one at the corner. so my friends and me would usually go get shakes and Checkers and get Dennys Moons over My-​Hammy at Dennys and enjoy the best of both worlds

My Uncle and A Family Friend And I went to Checkers For A bite to eat, wow Big Mistake to come to Checkers! I was giving her My Order and the Woman Slid the Window shut and Made me Wait as As She did with others,
Her English was Not Great Either A what was supposed to be A 10 min Stop turned out to be A Half Hour Our orders where wrong And by the time Our family Friend and I got done eating My Uncle just sat down because He had to wait longer then all of us.
So the Whole trip with that experience made Us Joke about it the whole time Like Hey Let’s go to Miami and go To Checkers? I think Not,

Horrible!
It’s ok for once maybe even twice to get an order wrong, but every single time I’ve visited they’ve managed to screw up my order.

I love that they are open till 4am. Being a hungry, insomniac this is perfect. The guy that always seems to be there is very sweet. I miss the Ralley’s that use to be there though,
You can’t beat the convenience and the fatty burgers. My endorphins just went crazy thinking about it.

Poor excuse for a Checkers. Actually, when in Hialeah, it’s better to avoid ANY chain restaurant and stick to the local places. If you don’t, you’ll only be setting yourself up for disappointment.
This occasion, it was late (ish), so a friend and I decided to get a quick bite. He ordered his bacon cheeseburger plain, with a touch of mayo. I ordered my sandwich with all the trimmings. Guess who got what? Mine came with cheese and mayo ONLY (blech!), while his came with ketchup.
I won’t mention my watered down fruit punch or the stale fries… Oh wait. Yes I will.
Honestly, it’s reflective of big companies who try to break in to the suburban Miami market. Time and time again, they don’t fail to FAIL. Poorly managed, poorly trained, rude employees… Yet the sheer size of the customer base (who must not care about being treated like dogs) keeps these places alive.
EDIT: I was reminded by my friend that his burger had a hair in it… Enough said.

My husband calls their fries «dirty fries»…yummy crispy battered seasoned fries. Just your regular typical fast food joint in Florida.;)
Drive thru style or order by the window and eat outside…
