I just went here today, and it was a huge mistake. Everything is overpriced. Found a doll new in box for the normal retail price. Not a «good deal» at all. Furniture is the only thing this place is good for and even so the furniture ends up having a bunch of damage to them and is not worth the price they have it for.

Do not waste your time in this store! Overpriced merchandise, items often smelly and/or in bad shape with stains and rips. On top of it the manager and cashiers are extremely rude. Terrible experience.

This is one of the two remaining original thrift stores at Flamingo Plaza from back in its hay day. You can still find«things» here, mostly newer clothing needed for work and such. This has always been the one for vintage furniture. They still have a nice selection of that to choose from. Vintage clothing? Good luck finding that when they overlook it stocking merchandise. Long gone are those days. Clothing is indeed less expensive here than at the other large thrift store here.

In New York City, thrift stores are often code for vintage. A lot of the prices are expensive, based on brand name. It’s a bit annoying, and one of the main reasons I wait until I’m in Hialeah to thrift shop. This time at Community Family, I didn’t find anything I wanted. However my girlfriend found a handmade, cute brown dress from the 60s. And it was like five bucks. Was this totally random? Yes. Should you expect to find something similar when you shop there? No. Is it in your best interest to give a look see if you’re around? Very yes.

Ohhh my god! The stinkiest place ever!!! I went about two weeks ago and the whole store had the weirdest smell, plus the Air Conditioning wasn’t working and it was extremely hot. The place is very dirty & dusty, if you have allergies I don’t recommend you to go unless you take your Benadryl before. The racks are a mess and the clothing keeps falling off. The prices seem to be much higher than last year and I couldn’t find anything that didn’t have stains! I love going to flamingo plaza but my Favorite by far is the Red White & Blue.

One of my favorite thrift stores, I always find something cute and fashionable at a fraction of what it would cost if I were to buy it at the mall. WARNING: It gets very crowded on weekends! I hate the cashiers. and yes hate is a strong word but there is one in particular that makes me want to slap her :) but I am a nice person so I wont.

Today there were some slim pickin’s. I really had been hoping to find one of those diamond in the rough deals. Once we found an adorable vintage wool coat with ¾ sleeves and a mink collar for a whopping $ 10! You have to come here with the time to really be able to sort through the myriad of clothes. this place is huge! I did find that the prices for used clothing were a little high.($ 15 for a used dress?) Still there are some pretty cool deals.

probably the best out of this little thrift store plaza. found a cool belt. a fish tank. some toys and a jacket. and it was all pretty reasonable. this is still a mess compared to other cities though and it did smell a little funny.

While researching things to do in Miami I happened upon a small blurb about Flamingo Plaza — a strip mall with SEVEN thrift stores! I thought it was too good to be true(and really, it pretty much was as the majority of places were hardly thrift stores…) but we got a decent amount of stuff. Community Thrift was by far the nicest, largest, and best priced of the seven. It’s your standard thrift store, certain color tags are half off, lots of crap to dig though. Coming from Chicago, it was amazing finding a rack of beautiful 1970s winter jackets prime for the taking. Not too much filler and not that picked over. The owner even gave us the gossip about the thrift scene in Miami(stay away from Red, White & Blue basically… and boy was he right!). Mainly clothes, we had to go down to New York thrift to get a suitcase to get all of this stuff back home because they didn’t sell them there. I’ll be back next time!
