Best Fritas in Miami, low key place, but great food and service. We had the original frita and Sugar cane drink very good.

Best Fritas in town. Traditional place. No luxe. Very friendly people. Try the frita a Caballo

Best fritas ever !!! We had the caballo frita which has an egg inside along with natural squeezed guarapo juice and finished it off with homemade flan. Delish! The place is located in a crappy neighborhood, there was a homeless drunk men outside of the restaurant that kept trying to go in, and the actual place is a small old cafeteria .if it wasn’t for the location and the appearance of the restaurant I would of give it a 5 because the cuban food they offer is the bomb!

Ah-MAY-ZING!!! Ate at the food truck for El Rey at Magic City casino and had to find a physical location. This little hole in the wall place had the most delicious frita available! Don’t let looks scare you away, it’s a gem. Make to sure to get it with cheese and add an egg, it is out of this world! –White girl living in SoFla.

I was not here for Fritas but just for some authentic Cuban food for lunch. I’m not from the area but know Hialeah is the place to go for Cuban food. I really wanted a malted milk shake as I hear they are the best but opted for a bit less calories and started off with the beef empanada(a bit greasy, too much fried stuff not enough meat) and the grilled chicken with salad and sweet plantains. The chicken was very good as were the portions. I didn’t even notice the price til after. So cheap. Service was eh. But what can you expect? All in all, it was ok. I went on a Friday around 2pm and it was pretty quiet. Just had some time to kill & was hungry.

This place serves extraordinarily greasy fritas! The good news is you can get them here. The bad news is that everybody in my party who ate them ended up sick. We all had the same symptoms, which I will not get into here. You are reading this, so you are probably looking for a place to eat and I don’t want to upset your appetite. Just go to Cuban Guys! They are actually fresh, the staff is much more competent and the establishment is much more pleasant to sit in. Much better atmosphere and the fritas taste fresher!

Delicious Fritas but sometimes slow service due to the fact one or 2 ladies are doing everything! Worth waiting for though

The food wasn’t bad. I would give them three stars but from the time I ordered my food and the time i recieved felt like an eternity. I would go again.

As soon as you walk in and notice the packed place you know these people know what they’re doing and do it well. Also, the signs on the wall will let you know they don’t take attitude from anybody, it is funny and also serves as a warning, I did not take a picture of the signs but sort of remember a couple of them and it went like: «This is not Burger King; you don’t get it your way, you take it my way; or you don’t get the damn thing» and the other one«Prices are subject to change according to customer’s attitude». I had the original frita with a tamarind juice and both were really good. I had to wait a little bit for my order but the place was full so it is completely understandable. The staff was nice and I will definitely be returning to try more items on the menu.

Horrible!!! My brother in law found finger/toe nails in his frita sandwich. It was not just one nail it was several!!! This place is completely disgusting and the chefs obviously cannot be trusted with your food!!!

Fire is the only word to describe the quality of the fritas here! The food was delicious the service was great. I highly recommend this spot if you’re near by. Often imitated, never duplicated!

You may need to speak Spanish, or you can point at the menu like me. Works out just fine. The sandwiches/fritas are soooo flavorful and delicious. This is definitely authentic food. Good prices too.;)I just wish I lived closer.

For the longest time, every time I went to a Cuban place I had to have a frita. As long as I can remember I had one particular place reign supreme. I stood by it and defended it. For some unexplained reason this place always escaped me. Then one day, I finally tried them. It’s safe to say I have a new FAVORITE Frita. Hands down. It’s almost no contest anymore. RDLF has become my go to frita place. The SERVICE is quick. The frita, which is all I have tried so far, and the corn fritters, are delicious. I’ve tried the regular one the a caballo(with a fried egg) and most recently the dulce one(with fried plantains) and it makes it a hard choice to choose because they are all perfect. I was able to meet the owners at one of the food truck events and they are a very nice couple. Very friendly and outgoing. Great frita guys!

How’s this for Cosmopolitan, y’all? I passed by for our work’s semi-weekly Frita Friday, which I don’t usually indulge in, but I did this time. Ordered up 20 for the whole crew. To misquote Jules Winfield: «Mmmmmmm, this is a good Frita, asere!» The order was filled out promptly, the lady was nice and we even got some free ones to boot! Wouldn’t take anyone here on a date or anything like that, unless she’s Chongalicious, but Frita Fridays are ably fulfilled here.

After days of contemplating whether I should or not, I finally gave in and went to try my first ever Frita topped with Maduros. The combination of the perfectly cooked maduros mixing in your mouth with the delicious taste of an authentic Cuban Frita, well, it was orgasmic to say the least. The whole time I was there about 99.9% of the conversation with the waitress consisted of all the other possibilities which can be attained by a simple Frita. I will be back soon to try several of her recommendations. Note to El Rey de las Fritas: Son unos abusadores. I would not have been craving this if you didn’t post pictures on Facebook and Twitter. Give them a follow on there and suffer as I suffer every day. They are very active on both. Oh yeah, since I already looked pregnant anyhow, I went ahead and ordered a Flan con Coco. This restaurant still remains one of my top two for Fritas. They just happen to be closer than their competition.

We had their Frita w/cheese. It was good, I’d rather have it from somewhere else but since we were in the area and hungry we tried it out. Not a bad place but not as good as other frita joint.

The service was not so great. Very disappointed. The establishment looked and seem dingy. The restaurant was very small compared to its original location in Little Havana. The restaurant wasn’t spacious and it’s location doesn’t seem to be in the best neighborhood in Hialeah. It’s never congested when I visit, but the food tastes the same as its original location. Prefer the original location, that’s all. Parking is horrible.

First time having frites… I enjoyed it. people are nice and its a good price. Better off knowing Spanish makes things easier… the only thing is parking, not a big parking space.

Where else would I go try an authentic Cuban Hamburger. oops sorry«Frita». This delicacy involves a meat patty(mixed with sausage), onions, cheese, little shoe string fries, pink sauce on a cuban style bread! Tasty & cheap! We also tried the fried malanga balls and they were tasty but a little too greasy for me! The fresh juice selection is impressive. Tried the mango juice and a «trigo» shake!.. Yum. Will be back!
