Best service ever. Do the beer tasting so fun. The owners and people working there are so friendly. Summertime you can take you boat right up to the dock get your beer and wine and then be on your way. Easily spent 3 hours there. Lots of fun

The shop is well equipped, with a lovely selection of regional treats. The wine-infused jams were a pleasant surprise. And the staff were extremely helpful and friendly!

What a pleasant surprise nestled in a small strip mall in Hiawassee! We just purchased property in the area, and were ecstatic to stumble upon this small but wonderful beer tasting room. There were at least a dozen or more beers on tap to try — a flight of 4 tastes for only one dollar. How can you beat that? They also sell growlers so you can take home some of the nummy stuff they serve. We had a wonderful conversation with Russ who was super friendly and helpful. We are glad we stopped in! We will be back for refills.

Amazing find some place you’d never expect! This little beer and wine store nestled on the banks of Lake Chatuge has one of the best selections of highly rated yet obscure beers I have ever stumbled across and a couple of the nicest owners you’d could ask for. Definitely worth a stop if you’re visiting this gorgeous North Georgia area. Highly recommended!

Great for wines but no customer service. When asked where we could purchase spirits he pretends to not know its a mere 7 miles down the road! Bah Humbug.

Wonderful selection of Georgia wines! Stay on the boat on LAKECHATUGE and pick up your wine or beer for dinner at the dock out back!!! How cool is that!!!

First of all, I highly recommend getting a cabin in the North Georgia mountains and enjoying the fall weather and foliage. Make sure to include wine tasting in your trip; not only because Yay! Wine! but because Georgia is surprisingly impressive with the varietals that it is making these days. Gone are the slugs from the lowly muscadine«wine»(which tastes like a mix of cough medicine and alcoholic Hi-C) and in are the nuances(crap, I sound like a wine snob) of Viognier, Cabernet, and Chardonnay! After a long day of driving all over kingdom come, we stopped in to Bacchus Wine Shop. It is in a tiny strip of shops beside a quirky gift shop(whose name I forgot but I believe the word«frog» is in the name). The new owners of Bacchus have a compact but knowledgeable beer area with some excellent high gravity brews, a beautiful oak tasting bar, and a back patio with a gorgeous lake view. We chatted for almost an hour about wines and he knew every bottle in his shop. I highly recommend that you stop in and say hello, but keep in mind that their resident pooch is a bit shy.
