The Oaks Ridges Resort

This was an outstanding restaurant associated with the Ridges Resort. However it is closed now with the exception of catering for private functions. Hope some day they reopen as a regular restaurant.

I recommend the cheese plate and any fish plate. Wonderful wine selection as well. Another amazing dinner!

After spending a week at the lake house, I started missing my Charleston food, so I decided to give The Oaks a try in search of some fine food. I was visiting during the slow season, so there wasn’t much going on in the restaurant, but the bartender was very friendly and attentive.
I decided to go with the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. They sounded good on the menu, and looked great on the plate. The presentation was great, but the good stuff pretty much stopped there. There was a very nice assortment of fresh ingredients, but the fish was extremely over seasoned. The seasoning overpowered everything. I couldn’t even taste the fish. I wound up taking the fish off and eating a vegetable taco. I decided to give a chance for redemption through dessert and went with the crème brûlée. It was okay, but it was nothing special.
Props on the presentation and service, but the food really needed some work.
For such a nice looking establishment and for the price you pay, I would expect a lot more.

really didn’t like my experience here. it was dead when we went and the service was very sketchy. it took our waitress forever to take our orders, and even longer to bring our dishes. the food was cold and the serving sizes small.

I had Thanksgiving dinner at the Oaks this year. The buffet was delicious and there were so many things to choose from. I will definitely return!

We stayed at the Resort for a weekend and decided to give the restaurant a try. Normally, I am wary about hotel restaurants, so I was very pleasantly surprised by The Oaks. I ordered the chicken with peach chutney which was deliciously cooked and seasoned, and my husband had the ribeye which he said was very good.
The atmosphere, views and music also set up the evening for a very nice evening out. If I come back to this area, this will definitely be a restaurant that I would eat in and recommend to others.
