The name is changed to simply«Hops and Grapes». Great selection of beer and wine at good prices. Quiet atmosphere, you can pull a craft beer from the fridge and have it poured into a glass«your own glass if you want to leave one with them» sit down at the small bar or a few tables they have and do whatever. Free wifi, I like to go there and work on my computer. They have tastings every Thursday, alternating between wine and beer. They also offer private tastings«doubling as craft beer classes». Very friendly staff. They also keep a few locals on draft, will give you a free taste if you ask. They alternate every couple weeks so you can always try something new.

I wish for a larger selection of French and Italian wines but overall its a fantastic wine and beer store. Affordable prices. Staff is extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

My husband and I just happened to stumble across this spot while exploring Hickory. The staff was so welcoming. We are new to the area and they shared menus for all the best restaurants around town. Their selection and knowledge for pairing beverages with your taste buds was excellent! You can enjoy you drink there and take some home for later. They have tastings as well but we haven’t made it to one yet!

Great store for finding craft beer and a wide selection of wine. We moved to the area from a much larger city and were frustrated by the choices in grocery stores, but this more than satisfied our desire for diversity.

Time for a beer run! I’m constantly impressed with their microbrew selection. They carry many excellent craft beers from some of the best breweries in the USA. A wide assortment of IPAs, stouts, porters, NC breweries, Belgium, and German beers. Service is always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I provide the style that I’m craving that day, and someone there always manages to make several wonderful suggestions that are spot on to what I want to drink. Two beer and two wine tastings, which alternate each week, usually each Thursday evening. Conveniently located near to restaurants, gyms, supermarkets, car washes, etc! PS: They were fully stocked up on pumpkin beers for the Autumn season. There was plenty of Crème Brulee stout still in stock and on tap. PSS: I found a new favorite beer: Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout(22oz) by Great Divide Brewing. Rated a perfect score of 100⁄100 by Beer Advocate. Stone Brewing Co. also as a wonderful Russian Imperial Stout.

This is the go to place in Hickory for craft beer. They have a good selection of US microbrews, including a section for North Carolina beers and imports. If you can’t find you’re looking for go to the counter and inquire about placing an order. They also have a binder which lists different kegs for order, pricey… but substantial. The wine selection is pretty good as well, not the cheapest in town, but friendly, knowledgable customer service. They have wine tastings often and the schedule is posted in the entryway.
