Great selection of all GMO-​free, one of few stores in the US so dedicated to quality. And they carry the best wheatgrass powder in glass!

Health Hut is our number one spot for vegan, organic, gluten-​free, all around healthy products. It is very hard to find vegan items in the Hickory area but Health Hut always has what we’re looking for. The staff is friendly and always available to help. The place is tiny but it packs a punch!

What a find! I recently stumbled upon the Health Hut — my husband and I are visiting for three months from San Francisco. This place was a great find. The Health Hut carries a wide variety of gluten-​free items, organic produce, poultry, meat, wild caught seafood, organic pet products, organic vitamins & herbs, and natural beauty care products. They also seem to be the only place in Hickory that carries Kombucha!

I went by the Health Hut to kill some time, and to shop for some Fentiman’s Curosity Cola, a product of the UK. While they didn’t stock this, they did have some Fentiman’s Ginger Beer, so I bought a bottle of that to try.
I had never been in this store before, and I was pleasantly surprised at the tremendous selection of health food products and the great variety of produce.
I was also a little surprised that the store was virtually packed with people.
The owner was very friendly and we spoke briefly. His son carried several bags of groceries out to one lady’s car, and then held the door open for me as I was leaving. Customer service at its best.
If I’m ever in the market for organically grown products or healthier food options, this is where I will come. This is an excellent health food store.
BTW, this store is also conveniently located right beside Mekvilai Thai restaurant, arguably the oldest and best, Thai restaurant in Hickory. Hops & Grapes, a tremendous specialty beer and wine shop. Planet Fitness. Hickory Smokehouse Barbecue. Windy City Grill, which probably has the best hot dogs in Hickory.

I have frequented this place for years. By far the best place to purchase produce in Hickory. Seasonal produce at its best! The kicker is the customer service. Staff are knowledgable and very friendly, always willing to help. The prices are high but look at it as preventative healthcare! Great place.
