With this review I’m probably preaching to the choir but there may be some people that don’t understand that what Harbor Freight sells is cheap Chinese made knock off’s. Eric Smidt CEO of HF has become a billionaire selling this kind of junk for the last 38 years. There is nothing wrong with being rich or selling junk. You will notice that many items sold at Harbor Freight are advertised as «Professional». If you believe that, I have some ocean front property in Kansas I’ll sell you real cheap. Also you will see some with a «lifetime warranty». Try & take a HF bought ratchet with a life time warranty that you stripped the teeth and try & get your warranty honored with a new ratchet. Ain’t gonna happen. Another thing I have noticed about HF is the reviews of HF products on their website. Those reviews can not be believed. I know this because I wrote a bad review several weeks ago and they refused to publish it. Now write a good review and it will be published in a short amount of time. Previously I wrote a good review and it was published in a few days. With fairness to HF there probably are other retailers that do the same thing. I have been a customer of HF since about 1980 when it was a mail order only business. I knew when I made my first order I wasn’t getting the best quality product but I was getting it at a cheap price. Here’s how I look at HF’s junk. I can buy a real professional drill motor for $ 150 or I can buy a HF cheapie for $ 35. Since I don’t use the drill much, when it ceases operating I can go to HF and buy another one and still be ahead of the price game. If I was a professional tool buyer I wouldn’t go near HF, but I’m not, so HF serves me well. I will continue as a Harbor Freight customer but I know I’m buying junk that is no where near professional quality. In closing I will say that when shopping in my local Harbor Freight store I have run into some employees with an attitude but for the most part local HF employees are some of the nicest & helpful people in retail business.
