The atmosphere is amazing, the staffs are great, but the food is awful. I’ve been here twice and I most likely will not be returning. If anything, I might go back and try out the phở. The first time I came with some friends and I ordered the steamed fish with curry and vegetables. The fish was dry and flavorless. The vegetables were barely blanched or steamed; pretty much hard rock/raw. I came back the last time and ordered curry with vermicelli noodles instead of egg noodles, and that was a mistake. I had ask the waitress beforehand if it would be regular kapoon. She said yes. The noodles were grabbed from the batch that was used to make spring rolls. It was all clumped together, broken up, and soggy. The curry was too thick for it to be a bowl of curry noodle soup. It tasted disgusting too. Nothing that resembled what curry broth really is. I’m a huge fan of curry noodles/kapoon and that ruined it for me. I packed it home to try to doctor it up, but ended up throwing it out.

Great food and the owner is very nice and helpful. Made my husband a custom dish based on his tastes the first time and it was great. I just had the BBQ chicken and rice buns and it was to die for! Will definitely be back.

Décor is very cute, waitstaff is attentive. I got phở and my boyfriend got General Tso’s chicken, both were yummy. The portions are really big too! My only reservation is that I’ve been here once before, and I order the scallion chicken and there was way too much sauce on it. Otherwise, I like this place.

I heard great things about this place so I decided to try it out. I ordered the Pad Thai and it arrived at the table cold. The cook in the back was telling the wait staff how he is afraid of STD’s and how he would chop off his own penis if he ever got one. It was pretty offputting to hear that conversation right before we ate. I didn’t like the food, and I didn’t like the atmosphere.

Not impressed. Service was not great, my food came out wrong. Same with the table beside mine. Food that did come out was very bland. Décor is cheap and mismatched, menus are confusing, just don’t waste your time.

If you are looking for Asian or Asian fusion Neon Noodle is WAY off target. I had the Curry Noodle Soup. The noodles were overcooked so lifting them to my mouth with chopsticks was impossible. My guest ordered a traditional Phở. The server was clueless as how to present Phở with fixins. A palm full of bean sprouts and 4 basil leaves. He had to request every sauce. The Hosin sauce was diluted. They had a banner across the entrance boasting 15% off ALL items. Yep, it was not given until requested. The owner was very apologetic but I feel this restaurant is missing some needed authenticity.

I didn’t like it. It’s has no taste and was too plain. It’s looks good but the food does not taste like it look.

John is a great chef! Phở was incredible. Everything is made in house and super fresh. This is a must try.

Service was slow and there was a lot of confusion with all orders. Didn’t get drinks until apps came. Hot tea came cold. Children of staff were waiting tables. Server was wearing torn jeans and a t-shirt and was not very engaging. Aloof at best. Special posted on outside board was not available(I suggested it be erased and I guess they thought I was joking). All four meals ordered came staggered in a 15 minute time period(there were only two other tables). Noodle dishes were good. Décor and atmosphere were very nice. Hoping we caught them on a bad day.

Ordered the Phở soup and curry soup. Both were excellent. Very good mixture of ingredients and fresh.

I always ordered the same dish(wonton noodle soup) when I eat in… each time the dish looks more and more different from the last.

I’ve been here twice and the first time I ordered the beef kimchi rice plate and I thought it had way to much sauce. The second time I ordered the seafood wonton soup and that was really good. The prices are not expensive but sometimes service can be slow.

Don’t know if this has changed hands but the service was horrible. Ordered carry out and it took 45 minutes when restaurant had two tables occupied. Order was wrong, owner argued with both ya elf and another patron. Don’t bother.

Very good Asian fusion in Hickory, who knew? Driving I 40 through Hickory found this on Unilocal.Very pleased! Vietnamese spring rolls were yummy, seafood hot pot was just what I wanted on a cold rainy day. Will return next time I am in Hickory!

Our experience started with dirty booth and floors. The waitress could not answer a single question about the food. She obviously had not eaten many of the items. The owner places our egg rolls on neighbors table and then served them to us after he realized his mistake minutes later! Gross!!! Dishes were ok. My stir fry was in sweet sauce that drenched it too much. Not many people there for the service received! Constantly asking for sauces and spices. If they want to service in hickory, they need to clean it up and provide better service with knowledgable staff!

Excellent customer service, clean and modern atmosphere and amazing food! This is not your run of the mill Chinese restaurant. It is truly Asian Fusion and has such a great blend of flavors from several cultures. Highly recommend as the prices are just as outstanding as the flavor! I will say the main chef/owner takes pride in his product. One lady sitting across the room was eating slow and pausing a lot in between bites. He came out and concerned, asked her if she liked her food and if not he would make her something else. She actually had just gotten off work and was enjoying her alone time and didn’t have any complaints on the food. Again, great customer service!

Decided to drop in for lunch and so glad we did. Modern and cute décor, great service, and the food was awesome!!! My hubby ordered the chicken Pad Thai and I couldn’t quit eating his dish. I had the Wonton Soup which was enough for 2 or 3 and son had kids lo mein. Go give them your business!

Food, wine and service are great! Tofu is fresh and delicious. If you are vegetarian, please request the sesame tofu. They also have brown rice on the menu. Not sure what sporting events you can watch at the bar but would love to come back for F1 and soccer.

Finally! Someone is taking a chance and opened a great asian fusion restaurant in hickory! I’ve been twice and have been pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the food on both occasions. The first visit, I ordered the Vietnamese spring roll, seafood pancake, and kimchi tofu. All items were delicious but my favorite of the three was the seafood pancaked – so crispy and flavorful. The tofu is some of the best I’ve ever tasted, feel like it’s homemade. And love that there is kimchi available. The service here is also fantastic. On the second visit my boyfriend ordered the spicy bowl challenge, and the flavor was just not for him. The chef came out and discussed what sort of flavor profile he likes and made him a dish he enjoyed much more(the curry bowl, extra spicy). We will definitely visit often and hope it does well!

In town visiting family and came to check out this new-looking Asian place. The owner greeted us at the door and explained the concept and menu. He was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable with cool décor. The menu represents traditional and modern Asian cuisine from 5 different countries. My wife had sesame chicken with fried rice and I tried phở soup for the first time. Both were delicious, and we will definitely be back the next time we are in town!
