Red Lobster

Our server Jacqueline was sweeter than a glass of tea. Really great service and the food was delicious. Huge portions from the lunch menu also.

So mom got a $ 25 gift card to Red Lobster, her favorite restaurant, and it
was burning a hole in her pocket. So on my weekly dutiful visit, off we
went to the ol’ Crimson Crustacean in Hickory, NC. We tore through that
gift card (and more) like the proverbial fastball ripping through the
ragged lacing of a badly worn catchers mitt with you, the backstop ending
up with the inevitable shiner. I ordered the shrimp from the lunch menu
and mom got the double scampi. The scampi was fine. Unfortunately, the
same can’t be said for the «breaded and fried shrimp». Oy! I did get all
twelve shrimp as noted on the menu, but they were really small and the
breading was thin and weak giving a pale and worn appearance to the shrimp
with a taste to match. Pale and worn! Not a particularly appealing look
for breaded and fried shrimp. My French fries were fine. Oh, and a salad
came with my meal, which was nice. The server asked «Garden» or «Caesar»
and I selected «Garden». It was 90% lettuce and a couple of cherry
tomatoes. No carrots, no green peppers, no cucumbers, no croutons, no
nothing else. Kinda pitiful.

I still stand by my comment about how the wait staff are uptight jerks. My waitress today was especially rude. The waitress hasn’t asked if everything is okay or made any eye contact with us other than for our order. The food took forever to come out. Haven’t gotten any refills either.
I tried. Probably not coming back after this visit.

Did not see a recent review which seemed odd. We stopped by on a Saturday night on the way home from Biltmore House for dinner. The food was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Left happy and full.

I hate seafood but my boyfriend loves it here so we go a lot. Even though I hate seafood this place can satisfy my hunger!

my wife and i had dinner at red lobster recently…
the food was not what we had expected at all. and small portions…
the service was good, and we left a large tip.
when we returned home we noticed they overcharged us 8 dollars .
we will not be returning… ever…

The cheesy garlic biscuits are amazing and I always order the ultimate feast. You get a little bit of everything. It’s great for people like me that can’t decide on whether to have crab legs, lobster, or shrimp.

Great-​sized portions, all the staff is very friendly and courteous, and the prices weren’t as steep as I thought it would be! Overall a great dining experience! A+++

I realize I don’t go to chain restaurants that often because I tend to support local businesses, but I was in the boyfriend’s hometown and his dad really wanted to go to Red Lobster so what can I do but go along?
They actually had a pretty decent deal of $ 14 for all the shrimp you can eat in a multitude of preparations, so I decided to try that. All I can say is holy moly that is some motherfucking salty shrimp they’re putting out. I got some shrimp scampi and shrimp with Parmesan to start off with and good god I had trouble getting it down to my stomach even with hunger gnawing at me. Please I’m begging you Red Lobster tone down on that salt shaker before you give everyone eating at your fine establishment diabetes.
Service was fairly friendly if a bit spotty. There was a hiccup with one of my orders but our waitress seemed very sorry about that and apologized so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt. I’ll make sure to ask for low to no salt next time I eat here.

Wish I could remember our server’s name… he was GREAT! Typical Red Lobster, same menu across the nation from what I can tell. Did not keep us waiting long to be seated, service was accurate and efficient. Dining room, bar, and restrooms were clean. Food arrived as ordered and hot. We are hooked on those darn cheesy biscuits so, YES, we’ll be back. Happy to learn they offer take out… biscuits included.
