As you may or may not know, Sears has a pick up kiosk and area for online purchases. I recently purchased some Gladiator Gear tracks for my garage(I know, boring).So I pulled around to the back of Sears where there is a small parking area just for online customers. Apparently, there’s even a service where you don’t even have to leave your car(I’m assuming there may be a phone app involved?). I went to the kiosk and scanned the bar code from my order. It asked for me to swipe the card I used to pay for my merchandise. Uh oh, I paid with PayPal! What now? There is a guarantee that someone will be out with your merchandise in 5 minutes or less, or you receive a $ 5 coupon. 5 minutes and 20 seconds later a sweaty young man(who was obviously running from across the store) came out without my merchandise. Hmmm. And no $ 5 coupon was offered. So this time he reset the clock and 4 minutes later he had my order in hand. I guess, if at first you don’t succeed, reset the clock and try, try again. Over all, he was pleasant, it didn’t really take all that long and the price /discount on my order was good. Not a perfect system, but not terrible either. The good news is that I never had to set foot in the store. Don’t you just love virtual shopping?

I agree with Sam’s review. They still have good selections, and actually, we keep finding good deals, too. They are better than a typical Sears store. Staff is good, store is clean. I have not purchased items that Sue G. listed, so it may very well be buyer beware, for some items, but I have not had a bad experience, yet. Fingers crossed.

Shame on you Sears! I was promised a new dishwasher, delivery and installation at no cost to me. by your customer relations. This was promised to me on 6⁄7. I called today to check on delivery for tomorrow, and I am being told that I could be met ½ way and delivery could be waived, but not installation. One rep, Cassie, actually told me that we live in a world where ppl mis-speak all of the time, the original rep mis-spoke, and I was not going to receive what I was promised. She even went as far as to tell me that if she told me she was going to give me a million dollars, would I expect her to follow through? It would be ludicrous to think that she would, and on the same note, it would be ludicrous for me to think installation would be waived. Why would I think that I was more special than anyone else. Wow; now there is a way to keep customers and draw in new ones. Case # 1471813. If this is not resolved to my satisfaction, you have lost a customer for life!
