I was skeptical at first, but Blaze delivered a pretty tasty personal pie that defied my expectations. The real draw here is you can build your own pie from scratch starting with a few different sauce choices and a mile of toppings. I was really surprised by how many toppings they offered. If you love creating crazy culinary combos you’re gonna like this place. I’ve been reluctant to say this is real deal pizza, but it kinda is. If I’m ever in the mood for a personal pie made exactly to my liking, I may be skipping past the local pizza places and heading back over here.

Delicious, quick, and well executed joint! This is a convenient lunch spot, near my job. Since the opening I have went at least once a week. Endless ingredient choices and everything is super fresh. For anyone who is craving some scrumptious brick oven 130 second pizza– check it out !!

I was highly impressed. I will definitely be coming back, and often. I had the White Top signature pizza but was able to add a whole slew of different toppings to it as well. Added meatballs, sausage, pickled onions and jalapeños. The cook time was optimal and service was spectacular. After the pizza comes out of the oven you have the ability to fresh arugula and pesto sauce if you’d like. I did both. Was very good. Leaving it at 4 stars until I try more options, most likely will update it to 5 stars down the line.

A lot of restaurants have been opening up with the«build it your way» style and they have mostly been burger and burrito joints. Blaze Pizza takes the same concept and brings it to pizza. Before even taking a bite, I was impressed by the friendly staff and how simple the process was. Choose your sauce, cheeses and toppings. I kept it simple and went with a pepperoni pie with the classic sauce and mozzarella cheese. It is a decent size pie for a low price of $ 6.75. I was also impressed with the taste and looking back, I should of been a little more creative with he creation of my pizza. They offer a wide variety of toppings and different sauces to choose from. I will have to be a little more daring on my next visit. Overall it is a great concept and I would definitely recommend giving it a try. Cosmo Kramer would be proud that his idea of building your own pizza has become a reality, although they don’t let you get behind the counter and knead your own dough. This is close enough.

Ok, the only negative is that I gave myself a blister on the roof of my mouth! Pizza came out quick and piping hot(of course!) The acoustics in the place suck — very loud. But staff and food were excellent. They peeled leaves off the artichoke for the art lovers pizza and when I said something about it being skimpy, they were happy to add more artichoke(leaves). They need to chop up the artichokes and put it on the pizza. BUT everything was excellent. Tasty, great people. Definitely recommend and will go back!

Is not just the food that makes this place, its the atmosphere and most important the outstanding customer service that you receive. Its like they give a blank canvas(pizza pie) then from there you let your taste buds go wild and create a masterpiece. Blaze has such a great selection of toppings to pick from to the very over the top spicy jalapeño peppers to the very mild mozzarella cheese, its so hard to pick. To top everything off there is no one hour wait or the famous line, «we will call you when its ready». Blaze has an amazing oven that cooks the pizza in a matter of minutes. With that being said, if you haven’t tried Blaze Pizza you haven’t tried pizza. P. S. For my nonpizza lovers there is also salads.

Perfect place for quick, flavorful pizza. There are no bland ingredients here. They have soooo many toppings made with fresh ingredients to chose from! They have an assembly line where you can order whatever you want on your pizza, as weird as it may be — so much customization. This is like the Chipotle of pizza places. Their ingredients are fresh and it’s laid out very well. They cook all their pizzas in a specialized stove with fire that gives the pizzas an extra crispy taste. Also worth noting, the staff here are super friendly! Definitely worth a try!

I like LI pizza but I missed the fresh-out-of-oven Neapolitan-style pizza I used to get from school. We went on a Thursday around 9, which is an hour before their closing. We tried their white pizza and sausage and peppers creation. Both were out in minutes and they were good. The pan was larger than I expected but the pizza was thin and crispy, so I could see myself finishing a whole pie if I was really hungry. I ordered a pie to go and did a create-your-own. There were a lot of toppings available and I loved that you can get multiple cheeses and meats, no limits. The only thing I was disappointed with was the dough. They use a machine to stretch the dough out thin, for convenience, and put a metal weight on top of the pizza when they fire it up in the oven. I like my pizza to have a bit of chew and a bit of bubbles in the crust. The crust was lacking compared to the sauce and toppings. It’s worth trying, especially for the price.

This is the Chipotle of pizzerias. Go in, stand on line, choose either a type of pizza they have already come up with or create your own. I went with the BBQ pizza but asked for no red onions and no banana peppers. The staff is friendly. There are plenty of ingredients to choose from. What sold me on the BBQ option was the gorgonzola cheese. If you are creating your own from scratch, you can choose the type of sauce(including white) along with any and all toppings your heart desires. Everything is cooked up in a brick oven and given to you after you pay. Prices are okay. They have a decent beer selection, along with fountain sodas. There isn’t much seating and it’s hard to navigate between tables if it’s packed(which it was on a Saturday afternoon). Overall, I like this place. I like the concept of creating your own pizza. I dislike the fact that parents confuse this with Chuck E Cheese and a bunch of small, loud children were running all over the damn place. One kept putting my jacket off my chair to the point I had to snap at him. The parents don’t care and it becomes a bit of a free for all for the parasites. But this is a problem with terrible LI parents and not Blaze itself. I’ll return on an evening when there are adults and beer is flowing heavily.

Tasty pizza, great concept, but the middle of mine was a little soggy and made the paper wet and break. I’m sure I wasn’t able to avoid ingesting some of it, but tried my best! I think it should be in the oven longer or rotated more if there are a lot of toppings. Maybe it was the fresh spinach that caused it… my friend had no veggies and her pizza was fine and her paper intact.

I had my first experience at Blaze Pizza yesterday after being told it was great, it was great, I should try this, it’s great. Truthfully, I was pretty disappointed. They advertised themselves as vegan-friendly and then everything is cross-contaminated. A list of what disappointed me… 1) The area the food was kept in was filthy. There was cheese EVERYWHERE. Literally, there were stray mozzarella strands everywhere, including the sauce. If this place was in New York City, it would have a «C» on the door, or the board of health might’ve even shut it down. But, it’s Nassau County, where the Board of Health doesn’t even use computers, so it’s just fine. 2) Nobody changed their gloves, even if you specifically mentioned you were vegan. The girl who put my Daiya cheese on the pizza was touching ham and pepperoni and parmesan moments before. Her gloves were greasy and disgusting. 3) The pizza cutter was not clean. It just sat in a dry container waiting to cut every pizza that came out of the over. On top of these issues, the pizza was just okay. The sauce was watery and didn’t taste like much, the toppings were okay(roasted garlic was a good touch) and the pizza didn’t come out very good. For my $ 8, I could go to a real place and get real pizza with good sauce and good toppings. Very disappointing, not just from a vegan perspective, but because everyone claims to care about allergies. Poor management and bad staff training has made it nearly certain I’ll never return to Blaze.

I loved my experience at Blaze! It was my first time there and the employees were really friendly and made sure to explain the process — you can select one of their already designed pizzas or create your own for 7.95 which is what I chose. You start with a blank thin crust then they add your choice of sauce(I went with spicy marinara which I highly recommend!) then they add your cheese(I was delighted to see they had vegan mozzarella!) and as many toppings as you want. They are definitely NOT stingy with the toppings as they kept asking if they had put enough as they went. There are lots of yummy toppings including different types of olives, artichokes, roasted garlic, sautéed onions, etc. Once you are happy with your creation they put it in the oven where it cooks in just a few minutes. My pizza arrived perfectly crispy and delicious. It was too much to finish but thy had to-go boxes on the counter for you to grab on your way out. I can’t wait to return and create another pizza masterpiece!

Don’t call it a Chipotle for pizza. Because the variety of fresh(er) ingredients makes this a fast-casual dining experience like none other. With an immaculate and vibrant ambience, Blaze Pizza in Hicksville offers great build-your-own pizza at an incredible speed without overlooking the details. The staff themselves are very courteous and patient. In fact, they were even willing to explain to a first timer what their whole schtick was. You can either go with their selection of signature pizzas or build your own. Fresh veggies, a diverse selection of meats, cheeses, and sauce all at a great price. Although the pizza crust is more pita than crust, the decadence of the sauce itself made for a great pizza experience. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

I have to say I was quite impressed with Blaze pizza. First off all there is basically no where to eat in the Broadway mall so I was very intrigued and happy to see that a new restaurant had replaced Johnny Rockets. What a great idea to have a build your own pizza assembly line similar to the way they do things at places like chipotle. They are quick and the price is right. Around 8 $ for a personal pizza with as many toppings as you like. The crust is perfectly thin with a fabulous crisp on it, just the way I like it! Perfect if you are looking for a quick bite before shopping or seeing a movie.

So went to this restaurant after holiday shopping and we were very hungry. I had gotten a free pizza coupon on the mail so I decided to try it. I was a little confused on the set up but eventually figured it out. The employees were nice but also a little confused. It seemed as though the manager was helping everyone along. The pizza itself was very thin. I finished most of my pizza while my brother finished his whole pizza. What’s good is that you can pile alot on your pizza. They gave me a nice balance of sauce and cheese. Crust was cooked properly. The only thing I would say is that the pizza may not be filling for everybody. If you are going with a group of adults definitely get 1 pizza per person. I’ll try it again if I’m in the area.

First of all let me say the pizza was good. I’d suggest to go there for some good pizza NOW… Here’s why I’m giving it a 3 I ordered my food online and after I submitted it, it said they don’t cook until you got there. It’s good I didn’t order this on my work lunch break otherwise I wouldn’t make it back in time. So I get there at my exact time. 6:50. I walk up to the counter and it was busy. I’m standing right in front of the cashier and it took him literally 5 minutes to ask me if I was picking up(just note, I said excuse me 2 times in 5 minutes but he was too busy with walk-in customers). I said Yes I’m picking up. He asked my name and couldn’t find my order that was supposed to be made before I picked up. So now it’s 6:57. He then asks me the most stupidest question ever. «would you like me to apply your online payment to today’s order?» I’m not quite sure what other options there are… So all in all I got there at 6:50 and I was out by 7:09. These should really think about having the pizza ready at the time of pick up.

If you haven’t tried Blaze then you’re missing a great pizza. This place easily gets 5 stars. They have 8 different signature pizzas for only $ 7.95. You can also build your own pizza with many many different toppings. Gluten free pizza and vegan pizzas are also available. Surprisingly, there wasn’t that much of a wait even though they are making it fresh. They also have different finishes as they call it. Pesto, BBQ, olive oil or arugula. Desserts are also available. This location is at the Broadway Mall but you can’t get there from inside the mall. They have a separate entrance outside. There is plenty of parking and when I went there was plenty of seating. This place is also good for kids since you can make any kind of pizza you want. You can not buy pizza by the slice. Only by the personal pie. It is enough for 1 person. I definitely recommend this place.

Before we get to the food, I have to say how great it is to see a cohesive branding design for the restaurant. Major props to the owner for deciding to put in additional money and time to really focus on a unique identity. This attention to detail really paid off. from the logo to the menu to the take out boxes, it was on point. The pizzas! I didn’t know what to expect but I’m so glad I gave this place a try. Their dough is pressed by some machine and then the line team assembles your pizza to your liking. Unlimited meats and veggies for 8 bucks?! You can’t beat that. Anywhere. The line team were extremely polite and moved quickly. My pizza went from the line to the oven to my plate in under 5 minutes. The pizzas came out hot, gooey and the crust was nice and crisp. Everything you want in a pizza. I can’t wait to come back and try different options! Only comment is that the wet ingredients should be drained before going on the pizzas. Since it’s only in the oven for a few minutes, the juice just sits on the pizza and can leave the pizza soggy when it comes out of the oven. But overall, phenomenal, be back soon.

Well it’s a good thing this by work and not home as I might be there more then I should be. Really great pizza(and price). Fresh ingredients and super fresh pizza(plus soda) for about 10 bucks(that gets you your own pie). Believe the hype and go. It’s well worth it!

Came this afternoon after seeing an ad on Facebook about free pizzas all day. Greeted happily by employees and was given a buy one get one free pizza coupon for my next visit. They have some pizzas to choose from or you can build your own from regular pizza dough or gluten free, spicy sauce or regular, to different cheeses even a vegan cheese option. If you have a gluten or dairy allergy the workers are diligent with using different utensils and changing their gloves. You walk down a line like you do in subway and tell them all the toppings you want. At the end you can get oregano or salt added to your pizza before the oven. Pizzas get cooked pretty fast and you can add pesto or olive oil when they come out of the oven. They call your name, cut your pizza up and you can either eat there or have it to go. Every worker was extremely friendly, place was busy but the line kept moving. As for the pizza it’s pretty good! Sauce is slightly slightly sweet, all of the toppings were fresh and it wasn’t greasy. It doesn’t have a big crust but I don’t mind because I’m not a crust person. It’s your own personal pie, cut into 6 slices, I couldn’t finish it. Something new besides burritos and burgers for a change. *pro tip #1* if you’re getting it to go open up the box when you leave to let the steam escape so it won’t get your pizza that soggy. *pro tip #2* they have fresh brewed iced tea and good lemonade, fill cup half way with iced tea and the rest with lemonade. Really good Arnold Palmer oh yeahhhh.
