Out near IKEA so we stopped to eat at Boulder Creek for lunch. I really forgot how good the food is. My Cowboy Steak was cooked to my preference. Tasty and big. It took up half of my plate. I was stuffed after eating that huge steak. I don’t eat steak often so this portion will last me until next year. OMG, so heavy. Waiter very nice and quick delivery if your food. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the hot loaf of bread & butter delivered while you wait for your entire. Yum!

It is a tradition for my Mom and I to Boulder for our birthdays. When we found out that Boulder Creek had discontinued the $ 20 birthday dinner we were very disappointed. We skipped going for my birthday but we went for her birthday with coupon from a dining magazine($ 5 off). I love the bread there. If they sold it, I would buy it. We went through 2 or 3 loaves. The bread is part of the reason that we go and why I get the Caeser Salad. My mom got the Mountaineer. I got the Kit Carson Sirloin. We both ordered it Medium Rare. But my mom likes it a little more done than me so she sent it back and when it came back it was perfect for her. For our sides, I got the Caeser Salad and New England Clam Chowder. I asked for the salad to come first(which it did) but to my surprise the soup did too. But it was perfect timing. Because I had just finished the salad as our waiter brought the soup. My mom got Boulder Fries(well done) and Baked Beans. Both were great(I tried both). For dessert, I was going to stick to my usual(Rocky Mountain Avalanche) but saw that Blossom Bun had been added to the menu. My mom and I agreed that you can get a brownie at pretty much any restaurant. It was the best decision ever. It was so good. That in of itself is worthy of a 5-star review(the only reason I gave it 4 was because of taking away the $ 20 off). When they say that that is a dessert for sharing, they aren’t kidding. I would recommend getting it either without the ice cream or with the ice cream on the side because I don’t feel like it added anything extra. It actually took away from the flavor.

One of the most horrible meals I’ve had in a long while. We ordered a green salad to share. It was truly«unmemorable». Just some cut up romain. A handful of cherry tomatoes and several sliced small cukes. No flavor. Boring. I ordered an 8 oz prime rib medium rare. They got the temp right, but that was all. It was anything BUT prime! Tough as nails. Chewy. I had to cut out half the serving in gristle and nerve. And what was left was inedible. I’m used to going to our favorite restaurants and steak houses in Vermont, where you can cut your steak with a fork. I should have known better!

Food was good. I ordered the marinated skirt steak and it was cooked well. The service was also pretty good. Waiter was attentive and made sure nothing was missing on our table. The reason I gave this boulders creek a 2 star is because my sunglasses was stolen. Literally I stepped one foot out and remembered I left my sunglasses on the table. When I go check the table it had already been cleaned. Ask the waiter and he didn’t know where they were, and off course nobody was concerned I lost my glasses. Obviously it was taken by someone in the house and manager standing by the hostess table did not make any initiative to help. Thanks a lot manager.

If I could rate this restaurant no stars I would. From the moment we walked in the restaurant we had bad vibes. We got seated and the waiter took 20 minutes to finally come to our table. We told him we were ready to order. Both of my friends ordered a side of Mac and cheese and a burger. I ordered the salmon dish. When the food came out we all noticed how the Mac and cheese was most defiantly craft Mac and cheese. I could’ve done a better job at presentation. We immediately told the waiter we didn’t want the Mac and cheese and to remove it from our table. As my friends bit into their burgers(which they asked for medium) they noticed that they were totally raw. They were not tolerable to eat. We finally left and both of my friends threw up. I will never in my life go back to Boulder creek.

Wow was I hungry. But as we gave our order to our waiter our waiter brought out this stale bread with butter. I loved our waiter, he was very accommodating and brought out another bread which unfortunately had the same stale taste. I’ve been to Boulder Creek in College Point and never had one complaint But Management at the Hicksville location would have been better off not serving stale bread. What a turn off and doggie bagged my meal to take home. Should have went to Buffalo Wild Wings:(

I felt this was an upgrade over outback, but far from slightly pricier steakhouses such as firebird. Service– Reading a few other reviews, I’m surprised to hear complaints about the wait staff. Our waiter was likely the best I’ve had in about six months, and gained this overall review a star.
Atmosphere– Clean, friendly, but not terribly remarkable. Food– This place seems to specialize in large quantities for a decent price. We got the porterhouse and a t-bone medium rare. Our feelings were mixed. The food came medium, and we both felt the cuts were over spiced. I’d much rather have meat cooked to order with a little salt than overcooked but with a dozen spices thrown on it. The sides were good, but if I’m going to a steakhouse I should be most excited about the steak.

What a waste of money and calories. Awful food, from the tasteless fried zucchini and potato skins that were dry and bland to the over cooked prime rib. Oh, did I mention the shitty service? Too many better options in the area. don’t make this one of them unless you just want a beer at the bar.

A chain similar in many respects to Texas Roadhouse. They honored my call ahead seating, a nice plus. Got in and seated immediately on a Saturday evening. Service from the waiter was acceptable, however something happened from our order to the kitchen that got lost in translation. Most of the food we ordered came out either lukewarm, or incorrectly and required a Manager to get things corrected, which she did quickly. I don’t blame the waiter, nor the food runners. It’s the kitchen doing a rush job and not looking at what, and how we ordered our food. Even the dessert barely was heated. So Lukewarm is the word of the day. Both the food and this review.

Came Here With Family Been To Many Other Bolder Creeks Before No Wait Time. Server Starts Off Nice. The Food Is Un-edible and Microwaved. The Manager Is The Most Undeserving Of A Job I Have Ever Seen In My Life. I Mean This Guy Was Sitting On The Other Side Of Our Table Witnessing Everything That Was Going On… Steaks Over Cooked Asked For Medium And We Got Grey And Burnt The waiter Then Tells Me Thats How All 7 Of Us Asked For Them… I Had To Get Up And Go To The Manager To Ask For Help He Offered Me $ 15.00 Credit To Return I Laughed In This Guys Face And Couldn’t Believe What He Just Said He Didn’t Offer To Remake The Untouched Steaks Or Apologize For What Had Happen He Just Dropped The Credit On The Table… smh…He Went Back To His Table Talking With The Staff And Laughing. I Asked For His Name And He Said I’m Known As The Only Black Manager In Hicksville At This Point I Just Walked Away From This Idiot Before Things Got Out Of Hand All In All The Reviews Are Right About This Place DONTGO ! I want it known that our server was helpful, pleasant and communicative. There was no wait time and for the most part the food was okay. However, I pulled out a piece of cardboard in my baked beans. When I brought it to my server’s attention he got the attention of the manager who was dispassionate over it. They also did not initially compensate my meal. Our waiter was great and I cannot fault him over the situation. That being said, when management seems disinterested beyond doing the bare minimum to address my concerns, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

The only upside to going to this restaurant was there was no wait time. The server seemed friendly at first, but after our meal she slapped the check on the table without even offering desert which I would have gotten. When we paid the check the server waited about 5 minutes before coming over and clearing the table, including a drink I was not even finished with. Obviously at that point my date and I realized we were no longer welcome and we left. Oh yea and I forgot to mention, I ordered a medium filet mignon which came out to the table well done. I would have been able to look past the overcooked steak and probably would have returned if not for the completely rude attitude the server had. When I complained to the manager to his credit he did offer me $ 15 off my next meal which would be cool if I intended to return. But I do not.

I have to say it out loud, this is my very own favorite restaurant, the food is delicious and what always make it perfect is the attention you get from your waiter, I had lunch/dinner with my husband yesterday and our server was just another great person that will be on my top list, his name is John F, I want to say thank you for the amazing service you gave us yesterday, he never let our drink run out and always very attentive also I have to mention the manager was amazing too, we had our six months old baby with us so by the time we grab the diaper bag and put him on the stroller I forgot my take home bag since I couldn’t finish all my meal and the manager was nice enough to go out to the parking lot to give me the bag. That’s what makes people to come back to a restaurant, the good food and great service. Keep it up guys Thanks again John F.

We came her by accident. We aren’t picky eaters, so we stayed and had dinner. We walked in and liked how the ambiance was for a steakhouse. He ordered a sandwich which you dipped in a sauce(French Dunk) and i ordered the mushroom swiss burger. As an app, we had the calamari. Our overall experience was great. Next time we’ll come back and have steaks. We werent disappointed :)
